What a difference this time! Awful!!!! The room was 30 dollars more and we were post charged the deposit because "there was kitty litter in the room." David offered to clean it up, but they said it had already been cleaned up. (They eventually said if we would tip the house keeper that they wouldn't charge us, but, even though we handed them cash for this purpose, they waited a few days and then charged my card.) This (the "it was already cleaned up") suggests that it was a spill that happened when we were being moved from the room without working air conditioning to a room that at least had a window that worked. There was a tallish middle aged man standing outside our door pressing us to leave without a few minutes. We hadn't even settled in. We have two cats. That's why we use Motel 6. We had a pleasant stay here once and could not understand the poor reviews. Now I get it. Life's too short. Spend your money elsewhere. I get it: you get what you pay for. But this was pretty awful. The towels, blankets, pillows and walls were all terribly thin. The hall carpet smelled of urine and when reported to staff, they confirmed people let their pets pee on the carpet instead of take them out. What?!? There are almost no amenities-not even tissues. We stayed at this hotel after camping in the Grand Canyon for 7 marvelous days, very much in need of showers and laundry. There is only 1 washer and 1 dryer in this motel and the dryer stopped working mid drying cycle. I informed the front desk (who responded by letting me dry my clothes in their commercial dryer) but the manager responded by saying he was not responsible for my clothes if they burned as these dryers were not meant for personal clothes. He said he offers washing and drying as an added service for his guests, but he doesn't really need to! Looked up the word jerk and there he was! Won't stay here again, neither should you. read more

I arrived on Saturday Aug 3, 2024. the parking lot was full of full patched members of a well known 1% er motorcycle gang out of California. There were approximately a dozen bikes and a box van with members hanging around with what appeared to be their gear. My family and I did not feel comfortable staying at this location, under the circumstances. I called the front desk and advised them of our decision. the clerking spoke with was understanding. I was advised that she was unable to make a decision to refund as I had booked through Expedia. I would have to reach out to Expedia and have them contact the General Manager Jamie. After an hour in the phone with Expedia, I was told that they would reach out to the manager today. They too were understanding of the situation. I just received notice from Expedia that the manager refused to refund my fees for the unused night. The Club, has a right to stay. I have the right to go someplace else. The manager has the right to deny my refund. I will not be staying at a Motel 6 again. If you are considering this location, and have any kind of a mishap or situation, consider this: It seems unlikely that Jamie, the General Manager will help you or show any compassion, and that the dollar is more important to him. read more

Manager at this location is super rude. Came pounding on our door saying we were cooking in the room and that we would have mandatory daily inspections during our 3-day stay. When traveling I am a simple Jane. The front desk dude took us in at about two in the morning. He was very gracious all when everyone and their mother turn us down. Cheap prices too. We found hot showers in the morning and off we took off. I do not remember, exploring anything else, except they are easy on lodging you in and out. Other request I would not have the vaguest idea. This place has changed. I've never had a problem over the years. I think it's a new owner or running out of money. A/c is Central air and after everybody in the building takes a shower in the evening. It's hot all night. The worst part is they steal your security deposit and if you look at other reviews such as Google, it's a constant thing everybody needs to start writing corporate. This is not a real motel 6 this is a SCAM! Don't GIVE them your credit card. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else. Your car would be better. We travel with 3 dogs so I called the motel to ask their pet policy. I was told that they allow 2 pets but could bring 3 for a $15 fee. I booked the room, checked in, went through the lobby several times with all 3 dogs without any issues until the following day. We took our dogs out before check out and shortly after our return the manager had a note slipped under our door stating they were pet friendly, not a kennel. I went to ask him why her was so rude. I explained that I called and was told that I could bring my 3 dogs for a fee. He told me they have a 2 pet minimum, but you could have a third for a fee. Hello...I already agreed to pay the fee. He informed me that people sneak pets in. Well that wasn't me. My dogs walked in and out on their leashes, no sneaking here. This manager needs some serious customer service training. They had an unpleasant note on the elevator and ice machine. They are not people friendly at all. After leaving I went in and read several complaints about this man. This motel 6 was alright. I guess you can say they left the light on for you. They have semi truck parking where you can park on the side of the road. Due to COVID they require you to use hand sanitizer, wear a face mask and they check your temp. Due to my temp not being in the normal range. They gave us a hard time. Their customer service could have been better. They were not friendly. The price was affordable. They also accept pets without a pet fee. Which is the main reason why we choose this place. The room was what expected for a Motel 6. The only down size was the fact that they did not have a microwave. They also did not have outlets in the room, the only place i can charge my phone was in the bathroom. The bed also only had only two pillows. Other then that it was all fine. read more

I stay at motel 6s all across the west coast due to their awesome pet policy. I 100% understand that this is a budget motel and not a luxury hotel but I've never had a room as yucky feeling and with as thin of walls as this place. I actually went to Walmart around the corner and bought Lysol to spray down the bed and all fixtures. There was an outline of a cup or something like it (sticky) on the night stand and I didn't shower because the shower floor looked gross (no pics of it sorry!). The sink didn't have a stop in it at all so I was very cautious about using the bathroom counter and looking down it while brushing my teeth made my stomach sick. We had a room right near the side entrance as the check in lady only offered me 2 options of rooms when she found out I had my pup. So I took he first level for easy access to take him out for walks. My mistake, hearing everyone go in and out of this door all night sucked. The pipes in the wall were super loud as well. Bed was basically springs with some cotton and a plastic protective cover that made so much noise anytime I moved. The pillows had only 1 case and the actual pillows were discolored yellow with blotches. DO NOT STAY HERE! I am on a skiing trip with my daughter. The manager Robert rudely accused me of smoking marijuana in the lobby with guests listening. Had I been doing that, I might not be upset, but when I am being falsely accused it's a big issue. I immediately invited him to come to the room to see and he refused. Let me preface this review with the following: my standard for hotels is relatively low. When my wife and I are road tripping all we want is a cheap place to stay with clean sheets and a clean bathroom at a reasonable rate. Clean, no frills, that's it. I made reservations in advance and when my wife and I checked in at 11:30 pm after being on the road all day, we found our room had not been cleaned from the previous guest. Without going into too much detail, the toilet was still stained and the sheets were in disarray. Sort of annoying, but we figured they'd just give us another room. No biggie. We called the front desk and were told that our room couldn't be cleaned in a timely manner and that there were no other rooms available in the hotel. The clerk seemed completely mystified as to what to do. Again, this was at 1130 at night after making reservations in advance. When we asked the front desk manager if she could help us find another place in the area for the night, she said no she couldn't. Additionally, they wouldn't refund our money on the spot, we had to follow-up with the manager the next day (while on our vacation) in order for that to happen. Because all hotels in the area were booked for the night (we spent about 20 mins calling around) the only place that was available was more than double what we would have paid staying at the Motel 6. We got the very last room of all the other hotels in the area, so we didn't have any other choice. I gave the manager a chance to rectify the situation, he didn't. At the very least, I hoped he would reimburse us so the hotel we stayed at was the same price out of pocket for us as the Motel 6 would have been. In fact, he had the audacity to accuse me via email of "blackmailing" him if I posted a negative review of his establishment. Sorry buddy, that's not blackmail. That's my right as a consumer. We've attached pictures of the hotel room. If Maulik, the manager, does respond it should be noted that we have an email thread documenting all of this and his lack of couth. I've refrained from posting the email thread, but if he decides to fudge the facts, I'd be more than happy to post it in its entirety. If there is a positive side, check in was easy and streamlined. Room was clean enough, shower was a bit awkward. Asked for a late check-out and they gave us until 11:30 (instead of 11) but the room service lady still knocked 3 or 4 times throughout the morning. When I said we asked for late check-out she insisted her manager said we needed to be out by 11. I then went and spoke to the manager and he said we were ok until 11:30. Went back up to tell the room service lady he said 11:30 was ok (not sure why I had to be the one to relay this information) and the lady said she wanted us to "get the hell out" so she could "go home and see her children.". What can I say? It's a Motel 6. Nothing special. I will say the beds were made and things were in the places they should be. I did notice the floors haven't been swept since at least the last people were in the room as I felt the dirt on my feet when I got out of the shower. And speaking of the shower. There was no shampoo in the room and would it kill a motel or hotel to use some fabric softener on the towels? I went to dry myself off and it felt like sandpaper. Would I stay here again if I was in the area, yes. For the money we paid, it was worth it. It was a place that we were only going to stay a few hours before hitting the road again. After one night there (staying 3 nights) we woke up with a paper slid under our door accusing us of being homeless and stating Motel 6 is not a shelter. Mind you we paid in full for all 3 nights when we checked in. How insulting to say the least. My husband took that letter and went to the front desk and confronted them regarding this horrible accusation. Is this how they treat their paying customers? Hotel staff was nice enough, the room was kind of clean I guess, stains on the bed sheets, shower smelled kind moldy. Biggest problem was that there seemed to have bed bugs because i have a bunch of bites. This really disgusts me, I thought it might have been mosquitoes at first or something but the symptoms of the bites fit the bed bug category and I didn't even notice until after I checked out. Next time I'm not going to go cheap and book the cheapest motel last minute. I would avoid this place or at least check the bed before you sleep in it read more

Clean rooms, comfy beds, dog friendly. We had a nice stay. On our family vacation this year we brought along the dog. First time. We were a little leery of the Motel 6 but it worked out well. The rooms were gleaming white walls, institutional style and no artwork, but whaddya want from a Motel 6? No pool or hot tub, but they don't advertise them. Our only real concern was that we booked two queen beds, but on arrival they only offer one queen or two fulls. We could fit, but barely. The staff was friendly and helpful. One clerk helped us find the Petroglyphs, which are a lot smaller than you would think, but still very impressive. The way in and out wasn't obvious, so we appreciate the help. This motel obviously cuts costs to the bone to keep prices down and you should expect the place to reflect that. One hilarious aspect of the cost cutting was the computer in the lobby. Wifi was easily connected and fast, but I didn't bring a device and so I went to use the lobby computer. It is Windows XP (!) and very slow. Once I finished laughing I found it acceptable (barely) to read email. This is a good place to stay when you're passing through or want to spend your cash in Bryce or some other tourist destination. read more

Rude argumentative staff. They need everyone in the parties if to check in and last year and this year it was a hassle because one person went in to check in and then had to go out to collect ids or have other guests come in. This stay one person didn't have an id and we were told that was illegal even though they didn't book the stay, and weren't driving. We were told it wasn't a valid because a new id can be picked up in 15 minutes from dmv. It was 4:45pm and we were from out of town are we expected to get one to stay? Their written policy does not say everyone needs to register with an id, only that every person needs to register. I have been visiting cedar city multiple times a year for years and I hope I remember next time to be sure to avoid this place!! Management came to my room asking if I was smoking, I wasn't. They said okay, it's fine, we won't charge you the money. A day later the money is out of my account. I call to ask about the charge. They insist I was smoking (I wasn't) and claimed they have me on video trying to buy weed from the receptionist (never happened). I asked to be sent the video, it never came. I called back, and was told by Jamie that an officer Valdez from Cedar City police was analyzing the video. I called dispatch, there is no Officer Valdez in the entire county. When I called the hotel again, he stood by his entire (made up) story. If I was the owner I would fire this guy. In my recent travels to CO, I stayed here two nights, within two weeks. Both times, I was very happy. The staff are primarily college students, and very pleasant. The second night I got a great recommendation to a local Mexican restaurant that was totally on target. The single bed room was fine, and the double bed room was also, with a new shower in both, and free WiFi. I appreciated the fact that the neighborhood was safe to walk my dogs, and that was a huge plus. There is a large parking lot, and the motel is close to gas, food, and the highway. read more
