Taken from top floor cedar Glen Lodge

Everything's perfect! Comfortable bed high end. Everything feels like you're at a five-star resort, stayed in Cabin number 17, if you're in the lodge, stay in room 27 for best Lake view. Big shout out to the crew! The staff was above and beyond kind and professional; Many thanks!

    Used dishwasher scrub

I would have given it more stars, even thoughwe had several issues from the get go, but the negative attitude of the manqger of this property prompted me to give 1 star. We got into our suite for a 3 night stay, and immediately noticed that the sheets weren't clean, as well as the comforter. We even found an eyelash extension under the comforter!! We asked them to redo the bed with new sheets, which was done, but we shouldn't even have to find dirty stuff on bed on checking in. That night we found out that the refrigerator was making this constant knocking noise. As we'd move in late pm and their staff leave at 5 pm, I emailed them that night (never gets checked) and let them know in the morning, as we couldn't sleep because of it. I was assured it'll be handled, only to find out that nothing was done! Same conatant knocking noise. By this time the front desk said it's after 5 and nothing could be done. Thus morning (our last day), this individual at the front desk tells me the only thing he could do is to move us to another room. So instead of simply replacing this really small 10-11 cu ft fridge with a properly working one, he expects me to spent our vacation time to pack all of our luggage and belongings, take it to another room, unpack it all over again for one night, And pack it again the next morning for our departure. I told him this doesn't make sense, and he just shrugged amd said that's the only option!! What an absolute unprofessional person. Other issues: Microwave was caked in from previous users and wasn't clean. I had to wash and clean it thst night! Dishwasher scrub was used! The tiny kitchen table is all broken to pieces and has splinters. The kitchen pots and pans are so old I'm reluctant to cook in them. Only 2 plates, 2 cups, 2 glasses, etc. So each time we had to wash everything to use again, and nothing to use if there's a visiting person. Room is very close to the main road, and we could hear cars and trucks at all hours. Overall a very poor experience, made worse by snub non caring ownership, using outdated stuff. Funny that their web site still claims this place is newly renovated. Per staff, it was done 14 years ago, but they still falsely claim new renovation.

I'm telling you, if you want to stay at a great place in North Lake Tahoe, Cedar Glen Lodge is the place to be! They have a pool, a hot tub, a bbq grill, a picnic area with tables and chairs, a mini golf, a bonfire, a table tennis, and tons of board games. The rooms are complete with a small kitchen so you can prepare your own food. It's right across from the lake and not far from 7/11 and other shops and restaurants. You'd love your stay at this serene resort with staff that are friendly and helpful. Thank you for the good coffee in the morning and for the nice and warm welcome! Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Little bit of a Lake view.

Place was decent. Fairly quiet and nice. Decent bed and room was clean and nice. Minuses...pillows, lack of a/c and cramped bathroom, thr worst was the ol super noisy refrigerator ! Please buy some decent pillows and new quiet refrigerators. And this will be a very nice stay.

The cabins were charming with fully stocked cabinettes for all your dining needs. There is an on site laundry. The location is excellent, right across the street from Lake Tahoe. The kids loved cooking hot digs on the firepits and smores. The cabins were clean but double check your glasses as we found some not clean and put away. Geraldine and Charlie were wonderful, helpful and available. The pool and jacuzzi were dated but clean. There were cobwebs on the porches on all 3 cabins that we had. I would definitely recommend staying here and hopefully will return.

    List received once I booked!

We enjoyed our stay here so much. Such warm and friendly staff. Lots of fun amenities from pool/spa, games, (micro) mini golf, ping pong, beach access across the street. Very cool property, I wish it were mine to keep!!!

We came here for our honeymoon and it was the perfect little getaway. We ended up driving here through a severe winter storm and arriving late at night, but the man at the front desk waited for us to make sure we got in safe. We also had trouble getting our car up the icy driveway and he did his best to give us advice. I would definitely come here again.

    A beautiful place!

I stayed here with my girlfriend while on a fall color road trip. Loved it!!!! But equally as important as they stay there, the staff helped me weeks later deal with Expedia. NOTE: NEVER, EVER USE EXPEDIA!!!! EVER! The amount of trouble I and the staff went through to get reimbursed because of a screw up was amazing. The Cedar Glen Lodge customer service is top-notch! But I digress. We loved our stay here. We had an hour before dinner reservations so we hit the hot tub! Wonderful! After dinner, we cozied up in our rustic little room. It was warm and romantic and quite simply perfect for two people who wanted to get away from city life and feel like they were camping without the suffering of camping. I would not hesitate to stay here again, and in fact, intend to! I have nothing bad to say about this place, only good! I hope you're experience is as positive as ours was!

Cool gathering area with nightly campfire.

I enjoyed the pine furniture and cabin-like artwork! I really wanted to stay somewhere with a rustic cabin vibe, but also be romantic, and this was totally it! This room had it all, from granite counter tops, full size fridge, fireplace, coffee maker, stove, and dishwasher! The kitchenette is super convenient. The bed was comfortable as well. The room also has two cable televisions and Wi-Fi. The private lake with pier is a beautiful view to take in. The room provided us with a list of restaurants, beaches, and other amenities that are only a 3 minute drive away. Some critiques about the room are the rack in the dishwasher seemed to be broken. The fireplace's flames are based off the thermostat in the room, so we would have had to turn up the heat to see bigger flames. I would have liked to keep the room's normal temp and just have the fireplace on. Additionally, the bottom part of the shower has a piece missing, which made me worry about all the shower water going into it. I know each room is a little different and have their own quirks. I would definitely stay here again, maybe in one of the bigger lakeside cabins, or in the same room!

The views are beautiful and the whole experience was terrific which is why I'm giving them full 5 stars. We've already recommended them to a few friends that have booked private cabins. The only reason why I gave the room a 4 on 5 was for the outdated appliances which doesn't hamper the experience but I just want to get it out there. All in all, we will return again next year and plan to stay here.

There is a private beach for lake activities and only 15min from Northstar ski resort. Safeway grocery store is less than 1/4mile away and lots of restaurants close by. Laundry facilities are free but there are only 2 washers and 2 dryers for the entire property. Detergent is $2 and can be purchased at the front desk. Because of a snow storm we could not make it on the first day and arrived late on the second day. The staff at the front desk (Erin, Kelly, Kailee) were all accommodating with the late check-in process and texted instructions on how to retrieve our card keys since the office close at 6pm.

Full kitchen is stocked & great for preparing meals. The not so great: Temperature in the room runs warm, no matter what you do. We left most windows open 24/7 & were still warm - even with snow outside. To complicate that - leaf blowers...run all day long. Do they carry around extra batteries? No joke - from 8am to after 5pm, it doesn't stop. When you have to leave windows open to not boil in the room - the noise from the leaf blowers = nousicance. The pillows are crazy full. Make your neck hurt firm. I ended up filling my own pillowcase with a small blanket I brought. If you trade through II, for a sleeps 2 privately/with a kitchen - that's exactly what you get. A room with a kitchen in it. It's pretty intimate to co-habitate for a week together. We did ok but it would be awkward if your not super close/familiar with each other. $25 a day "resort fee", no matter what the season & no matter what type of room you have. No kayakes, no pool - doesn't matter = $25 a day. We won't be back, unfortunately. Might be better in a larger unit during a different time of year.
