When the bank did not approve the loan, I returned the vehicle on February 4, 2026 as instructed. I was told my down payment would be refunded minus the mileage I used. However, the dealership claimed I drove over 1,000 miles and deducted that amount from my refund. I have timestamped photo evidence showing the odometer reading 74,182 miles at the time I left the dealership. When I returned the vehicle, it showed only about 300 miles driven. The documentation the dealership provided to justify their numbers was a state inspection dated December 27, 2025. I didn't even step foot on their lot to look at vehicles until January 19th. They also deducted a $150 detailing fee even though the vehicle was not clean when I picked it up and had liquid leaking inside the car. I was told to return to the dealership for a detailing but it never happened before returning the vehicle. After weeks of trying to resolve this directly, the dealership said they mailed my refund check. When it arrived, the check had the wrong name, was misspelled, and was not dated, so the bank refused to accept it. I am still attempting to resolve this situation and have filed a formal complaint with the BBB. I recommend that anyone doing business here take photos of the odometer and keep copies of all paperwork.

They're very organized. I pull in, someone immediately comes out to greet me, offers water, and walks me through everything. The service advisor explains what we're doing, and I'm sent to the waiting area, which is always spotless and comfortable. The coffee machine is legit, there are plenty of snacks, and the seating is actually comfortable. I don't mind sitting here for an hour because it feels relaxed, not chaotic. Service costs are either covered or very reasonable, and there's never pressure to add anything on. They send a service video straight to your phone, which felt fast at first, but honestly just shows everything is moving smoothly and nothing urgent is wrong. The shuttle service is also super reliable when you need it. Overall, coming here doesn't feel dreadful, and for a car dealership, that says a lot.

(Before making the appt, I specifically asked a store rep online if the price were open to negotiation, since my research w' Kelley showed an average listing at thousands less than Beasley was asking. The online rep said yes.) THE GOOD PART: Once at the store, Sky was a pleasant and knowledgeable salesperson. She patiently answered all my questions (esp since I'd never driven a keyless car with apps before!) and went with me on my test drive. So far, so good... THE BAD PART: Once I'd driven the car, a "numbers guy"---I think his name was "Willie" but I'm not positive (heavy-set w' beard/cap)---came over with a couple of printouts with figures, offering me not a penny less than the initial $19.5K asking price! As mentioned, I'd already done a ton of research online, showing the "Typical Listing" price for this make/model/mileage at $17.7K, the Kelley "Fair Purchase Price" at $16.1K, and the JDPower price at $18.1K. "Willie" brushed off all of my figures, saying I must not have entered the correct mileage for the Kelley quote (which I did), and that Beasley "did not use" JDPower numbers. (Just because you don't "use" them doesn't mean JDPower doesn't have reputable numbers!) I didn't expect to get the low-end price of $16.1K, but I certainly DID expect a bit of negotiation that ended up closer to the $17.7-18.1K numbers. Especially since I was offering to pay for the entire car up-front! I've negotiated for used cars several times in past decades, and I know that the dealership always initially marks up the price and that the later agreed-upon price usually falls within the range shown by Kelley and others. But this guy offered NOTHING. He also told me that Roger Beasley had 4 dealerships in town and that I was not going to find another similar Mazda3 with them at a better price than $19.5K, since all the prices were linked---insinuating that if I really wanted a Mazda3, I'd have to deal with Roger Beasley! At this point, I informed him that PoleStar just down the street on Burnet currently has a similar Mazda3, as do other Mazda dealerships in Buda, San Antonio, etc., as do other smaller dealerships within Austin. He basically shrugged, and I left. Just curious: Did he think I was ignorant about car prices since I'm a middle-aged woman?! I find it hard to believe that he would not have negotiated the price with a man, and taken him more seriously. Needless to say, I won't be coming here again.

Made an appointment, came in, the staff was fast, friendly and accomodating, maybe with an exception of a lady by the service counter. Service adviser Kavin was right on, stayed in touch, communicated well, and got me in and out really fast. By the way - in the coffee shop barista was tight on, made me a bone dry cappuccino just right. One negative comment - sales people promise you the world, but when a sales manager comes in, you quickly realize that you just wasted an hour of your time listening to unrealistic bullshit. Never understood that - do they really think I will come back after an experience like that? All-n-all I would recommend the service department, it is definitely an improvement. What I find remarkable is that instead of acknowledging that fact, your position is simply that enough time went by, so you don't care. I paid full asking price for the vehicle. I purchased the paint protection product sold during the transaction. I purchased an additional two years of warranty coverage. Yet when an issue arose and I attempted to resolve it professionally, I was ignored for months. Patrick stopped responding. RK Johnston contacted me, offered assistance, and then disappeared as well. The most telling part of your response is that you put in writing exactly how Mercedes-Benz of Austin views post-sale customer service. Once enough time has passed, it doesn't matter whether the dealership's own evidence shows the issue existed before delivery. It doesn't matter how much money a customer spent. It doesn't matter whether the customer made repeated attempts to resolve the issue privately. The answer is simply "too much time has passed." The repair was less than $2,000. Instead of standing behind a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle and taking care of a customer, Mercedes-Benz of Austin chose to spend months avoiding the issue and then publicly deny responsibility despite evidence to the contrary. Unfortunately, this is a perfect example of what is wrong with the car business. Everyone is your best friend when it's time to sign paperwork. Once the deal is funded and enough time goes by, you're on your own. Thankfully, your salesperson's own video tells a different story than your response.
