Capisce is such a cute coffee shop. I love the look, ambiance, and decor inside. It is small so be mindful of busy hours as I can see it getting crowded easily. The employees were friendly, and our stuff came out fast. I got an iced latte with maple syrup and soy milk, my boyfriend got a salted caramel iced latte with vanilla cold foam, and my friend got a drip coffee. The coffee was so good! The only reason I'm not leaving 5 stars is because my friend got the savory cheese twist and it tasted stale, dry and not like cheese :( but the quiche was very good he said. Overall I'd definitely come back for more lattes! I'm happy to have tried this on a trip to Lake Placid.

Fantastic coffee in a cozy atmosphere! I visited on a Saturday morning and within 5 minutes of getting in the short line, the place was absolutely packed. Since it's fall, I wanted to try their Pumpkin Latte, which was delicious. You could tell the syrup was homemade and it was not overly sweet. I also tried their yogurt bowl, which was in a plastic cup in their to-go fridge. It had fruit, coconut yogurt and granola. It definitely hit the spot! Definitely a great coffee option in the north country. It does get pretty busy though. There are several tables inside and lots of tables outside too.

Skip every other coffee shop in lake placid and go here! We ended up going on our last day and I wish we went every day. Great selection of sandwiches, pastries and coffee/espresso. Indoor and outdoor seating. Great vibes! Staff was lovely!

So glad I found this wonderful coffee bar and Cafe. The inside decor and outside seating areas are a wonderful mix of new and vintage with fresh flowers all around. The employees were very friendly and helpful as I tried to find just the right drink. I love finding something new and the first drink I had was the "Sunny and Cher"....mango, matcha and oat milk served cold. What an interesting flavored drink and I could tell immediately it was not mango syrup, it tasted like a puree of mango. It wasn't super sweet and I needed a bit of sweetness for my taste so I added just a bit and it was perfect for me. The fresh brewed coffee was also excellent...full bodied and very rich tasting. I also tried a Local smoothie full of fresh fruit and local yogurt. We also tried one of the individual quiches that was made in puff pastry, delicious.

    Such a beautiful cafe!

Was in the area for a conference and happened upon Capisce on Yelp. Knew it was the perfect spot for afternoon coffee. Absolutely gorgeous cafe, fantastic decor, nice and clean. Staff were friendly and service was quick. La Colombe cold brew is high quality! Smooth and delicious!

What a find!!! Peppermint cardamom tea and a power greens breakfast sandwich hit the spot! All this time I thought it was an Italian restaurant as we vacationed in Lake Placid... NO! A fabulous coffee bar with quite a selection of food! See you when we're back in June!!

Capisce Coffee and Espresso Bar is it! This cafe truly delivers. The espresso is smooth and bold with deep, rich flavor. The inside space is warm and inviting, filled with cozy charm, local pottery, and art that adds to the character. The menu is a dream for coffee lovers, featuring everything from cappuccinos and cortados to lattes, affogatos, and latte flights. Each drink feels thoughtful and well-crafted. Step outside into the peaceful and bright garden patio. It is a quiet place to sip your drink, relax, and just be. Whether you call Lake Placid home or are simply passing through, Capisce is a spot worth pausing for.

It has a very appealing little set up inside. It's a woman owned business which I love to see beings I have three girls. The workers are extremely friendly and very engaging as soon as you walk in the door. The cold brew is delicious and the food was great. It's very pricey as compared to quantity but that's expected in Lake Placid. Definitely recommend stopping here for a coffee or a snack.

It was ok. That's it. For us at least. Coffee was extremely strong not normal for cappuccino. Bagel we asked toast came out not toasted. Environment wasn't most inviting as other coffee shops nearby. Blueberry scone was excellent!

Cozy coffee shop with delicious food and coffee. I would definitely recommend stopping here if you are looking g for breakfast. It's a small place, but they do have outdoor seating. Staff were very friendly and food was mostly made to order. They do have pastries and some breakfast sandwiches pre made in a warmer. My husband had one that was premade, he said it was still good.

This place is a vibe!! Absolutely worth a stop in here. Maria(and everyone in the shop) makes you feel welcome from the moment you step in the door. The coffee was delicious(next time we'll need to try the food and a treat too, it all looked delicious we unfortunately had just eaten!) They ask if you want your drinks to go(plastic cup) or to stay(the cutest glass can with a reusable straw!) We didn't need to use them...but there's uncooked spaghetti as for a coffee stirrer, so environmentally conscious, and clever. There's plenty of seating options both inside and outside and each table had a tiny flower jar. If you can catch Maria for a moment ask for some small business recommendations and places to eat in town, we hit every place she suggested and they were all phenomenal! Thank you!!

Nicely branded cafe, but the wait time was not worth it. We waited 45+ minutes for two items.

Cornwall has a bubble tea place! And not only do they sell bubble tea, but they sell ice cream,…read moremilkshakes, cake slices, crepes (sweet and savoury) and quesadillas. Oh and did I mention that they sell unusual flavoured snacks like Banana Caramel KitKat, Root Beer flavoured Mike & Ike, and Birch Beer Crush?!? They also had Dr Pepper flavoured cotton candy. Mind blown! Lol. I was super tempted my their $1 a cone ice cream, but decided to stick with my original plan of getting some bubble tea. I went with the regular-sized Lychee Milk Tea ($4.99) and added Cherry Agar Pearls (an additional $1). My husband got a Mint Chocolate Milkshake ($6.99). So the freaky thing is that I totally forgot to tell the guy half sweet (my usual customization when I'm trying out a new place), but magically when I got my drink, the sticker said 50% sugar. Woah, he read my mind, lol. So the toppings list said "cherry tapioca" which intrigued me but when I got the drink, it was obviously agar/crystal pearls that were cherry flavoured. This was also a pleasant surprise because I love crystal boba/agar pearls and actually prefer them to tapioca pearls. I loved my drink. The lychee flavour wasn't too pronounced, but it was still tasty and not overly sweet. The agar pearls were chewy and delicious and the quantity was good. I had a sip of my husband's milkshake and it was really tasty, super rich and creamy, and it was aesthetically pleasing as well. Service was easy-going, as I was a bit indecisive at first and then changed my order as the guy was punching it into the cash register (oops, sorry, hehe). He was super nice and if he was annoyed, he didn't show it at all. If I lived in Cornwall, I would be there all the time. They are close to the highway, so I think not only will every Cornwall trip I make involve a stop here, but any trips on the 401 eastbound from Ottawa will also involve a visit to Sip & Scoop, lol. It's in a plaza with lots of free parking.

This place was my dream in terms of all the novelty and out-of-country snacks. Though it was a bit…read morereserved. As far their menu goes, it is fine. The drinks were good, but I was disappointed to see they had removed savoury foods and sandwiches from their menu. All in all, I enjoyed my visit.
