Went a little nuts for all the delicious small plates here. Excellent cocktails with some unique products and components like a local micro distilled gin and a hint of chili spice in the margarita. So so start on the food with an average garlicky Brussels and hummus with a few veggies and pita. Skip these that you can get literally anywhere and go for pan seared crab cake special or angry clams loaded with andouille and Italian pepper with crusty bread to sop up broth. Beet salad, harvest salad and Caesar were good and the half portions quite sufficient. The duck confit with lentils, fried chicken and sea scallops all got thumbs up but the surprise favorite was the parsnip risotto. Crusted cod special was fine but small for $28. A few minor complaints: everything seemed to include or be garnished with arugula and the spice level on a few dishes was higher than expected. All in all, very good food and service. Our experience went from BAD to pretty GOOD to DISAPPOINTMENT. BAD: We were celebrating a friend's birthday on a Saturday night and didn't get seated until 1 hour and 15 minutes later even though we had a reservation. Good: We were offered a round of free drinks and $50 credit for a group of 10. Good: The food came pretty quickly. We were starving by the time we ate. From what I can recall I would RECOMMEND the fried goat cheese, Fresh Mozzarella, Tomato & Prosciutto Salad, Risotto fritto, and hanger steak. Disappointing: Error on our check, which we didn't notice until the next day. Management didn't fix the error, blamed it on us. read more

Let's get the Cliff's Notes version out-of-the-way first: the food is terrific, but don't be in a hurry. This converted house is cute as all get out. The outside has lovely landscaping. All very quaint and unassuming. Inside, warm neutral colors abound in the converted house layout is quirky and fun. Menus are printed on nice paper stock and the layout is hip and modern. I had a seat not too far from the kitchen, and saw everything coming out. Stuffed French toast, fresh frittatas made to order, smothered breakfast burritos, a nice looking cheese plate with salad and bouillabaisse that I will have to come back for. I was there for brunch and have to hash and eggs, hash of smoked pulled pork and home fried potatoes. Delicious. The price is just right for the quality of food and the town. So why four stars not five? Maybe it was because I went on a Sunday for brunch, but despite being seated right away it took us 10 minutes before anyone came over to even ask for drinks. Another five to actually get the coffee brought to our table. Another 30 after that for the food to come. Not a terrible wait for the food, but it's Sunday brunch and I need coffee, dammit! Our waiter wasn't rude, but neither was she particularly courteous. Let's just say that I'm going to come back for the food, not the service. We'll see how long that lasts. I'm going to chalk it up as an anomaly for the time being. This is a tiny thing, and not really their fault but... Parking is a bit of an issue. The lot is small and cramped behind the house and prone to overflowing. A sign hopefully direction to across the street for overflow parking. Not their fault, but not the most intuitive either. I was really not impressed with this place. I thought the portion sizes were wacky and the menu items were jumbled. It didn't seem like they had one niche or genre. We ordered the fried pickles to start which were soggy and unappetizing. For my meal I ordered the worst falafel I have ever had. Was not a fan at all. I also got a side of sweet potato fries which met my standards...A+ on the fries. I probably would never come back here. I was in town on business and went to Yelp to find a place. OVERRATED for sure! Here goes: - hostess was a moron - waitress described the specials in ridiculous detail but in a non-helpful slow manner - the menu is incoherent - it was like tapas but not Spanish and also not food you would want in small plates necessarily with no real apps - i ordered a "tapas" caesar salad which was hardly "small" and soaked in dressing and a steak medium rare. the steak was cooked fine but the cut was not great. it had little flavor and i almost wanted to ask for steak sauce. shocking, i know. - the waitress brought me a weird side of hummus and crackers after she brought the salad out. i guess that is what they serve instead of bread. it made no sense. nothing on the menu was really greek or complimented the hummus... - everything was slow and the waitress seemed like a space cadet. nothing was offensive and nothing was great. i wanted to give it 3 stars because it wasn't terrible but that really shouldn't be the dining standard. skip this place and go to the one that is like a historic landmark or something. read more

We went here with my wife and her parents on a Thursday evening. We got there early, about 15 minutes after they opened, so some of our delay might (but shouldn't) be explained by this. Our waitress was very polite and professional and attended to us as soon as we were seated. Then, the "fun" began. After ordering our appetizers, we waited approximately 30 minutes for them to be delivered to our table. After asking the waitress if she could check on them, she finally returned with only one of them; the other came out about 5 mintues later. Both appetizers were exceptional. However, the soups that followed were NOT good. My apple and fennel soup tasted like microwaved applesauce. The meals finally came after additional prodding, and 3 out of 4 of us were not impressed. 2 of us, including me, had the salmon, and, while the accompaniments were exceptional, the actual salmon was not fresh and tasted terrible. Our one success was the rack of lamb, so if you go here, that is my suggestion. Dessert, a chocolate cake with blueberries was also outstanding. When the check came, they added 20% gratuity because we used a gift certificate. Apparently, the waitress feared we were novice diners who didn't know that you tipped on the original bill. I'd have given 3 stars if not for that. Overall, average meals, questionable service, expensive price. read more

So this place was a Yelp find. I was in Sturbridge for business and did a quick search on my app for the closest place with ratings. Yelp... you did not disappoint! I came here by myself and didn't feel awkward or uncomfortable. The staff was really nice and welcoming (I even got a compliment on my dress) but otherwise they left me alone which is perfect! I asked my waitress what to order and she did not steer me wrong. You have to try the bacon wrapped dates stuffed with goat cheese... bacon candy is the only description. I would have licked my plate if we weren't in public. I also had the pan seared scallops. Yum yum yum. Everything on the menu looked great so I doubt you can really go wrong. Okay, so I only had dessert here, but it was such a nice experience, I can't help but think a meal would be very good too. We were looking for a place to get coffee and maybe a dessert, which, in Sturbridge, seemed a little tough at 9-ish at night. The folks at Cedar Street were clearly in wind-down mode for the evening, but enthusiastically welcomed us and made us at home in their attractive dining room. The dessert menu was stocked with some very pleasant choices. They do a changing bread pudding, described by the server, but what really caught my eye was the Earl Grey creme brulee with honey and lemon sauce. We ordered coffee. I had one of their French Press offerings - an Ethiopian Harrari - that was very good. My companion and I shared the creme brulee. It was a really interesting combination of flavors, nicely presented and very well prepared. The coffee and dessert would make this a high-three star in my book, but the pleasant surroundings, and, above all, the gracious staff, make this a high-four. Our server not only made us feel welcome, she let us linger very comfortably after they had clearly served their last meal and we were the only customers. She explained that they'd be there a while, setting up for a party the next day in another room and actually even went so far as to put on little background music after they'd shut that off earlier. I travel every 8 weeks to visit my Mother in Auburn, Ma. She is eighty-seven and is in Assisted Living near by. What with my hectic schedule as a business owner in South Carolina, it slipped my mind to make a Mother's Day reservation. On a suggestion by my niece I tried to reserve here and was told they were totally booked. I thought maybe I could get some help by messaging through yelp to the management on my dilemma. I was graciously given a reservation by management for two once I shared my story. These days in our hectic world one doesn't expect such a response. When we arrived we were pleasantly greeted. The Mother's Day menu was super. We ordered crazy Dates, Shrimp, and Lobster Benedict, along with a bottle of Chardonnay. The taste, texture and presentation along with great Service made it all the better. My mother was so very pleased. Fantastic! That's the best way to describe it. From the bar to the dining room to the staff to the food to the bar. It is absolutely fantastic. If you didn't like this place than you need to seek medical assistance and or have your meds adjusted. We were in the area for the Brimfield Flea Market and I had asked my sister to find us a place to all meet for dinner and this place came highly recommend by a friend of hers and Trip Advisor. So we decided to meet there. Before my sister arrived we sat at the bar and had a nice starter while waiting. The Poke. Now this was something that was bit different for me. They used pineapple which I loved but the bite size was way too big and it wasn't formed in a mold. Instead it was piled into a wonton bowl and served with a great spicy sauce. I applaud them for doing their own thing on a classic dish though. The bar from the get reminded me of my last restaurant. Many of you who know me know my last restaurant was Ciao Brasserie in Huntington Beach. The bar was a mirrored image of our bar. Great selection of cocktails, wines and beer. We even met a wonderful couple sitting next to us. Phil and Ellie. We had great conversation and enjoyed meeting them. My sister and her brood showed up and we sat for a nice dinner. The catch of the day was Mahi Mahi. They had me at Catch. I was sold. I'm not a fan of mixing mash with fish anymore and so I decided to sans that and add some more veg. They said not a problem. They added potato though. So I guess they're insistent I have a starch with my meal. Our server Jill was amazing. And she's easy on the eyes. What a trooper she was with my sister's kids and the kids themselves were even awesome. Each one was so well behaved. Uncle Buck was very impressed. They even got to draw on the paper placed over the table for protection. SIDE NOTE: To me, it's not the kind of place I would bring kids. That's not to say you shouldn't.... it can definitely accommodate kids, but this place is more suited for couples and or adult groups looking for a fine dining experience. Maybe a couple looking to be romantic. You know what I'm say'n? Som'n Som'n. Nonetheless they made it work for us and my hats off to them for doing so. My wife had the Deep Fried chicken. I say, I say what? She said it was a bit too much food and that she loved it. I had to break from my extreme diet and try their Mac N' Cheese. Why? Because I have to try everyone else's and see if it's as good or better than mine. And this one was spot on identical. If you have tried mine you wouldn't have been able to tell them apart. Same taste, same pasta. It was excellent. Only thing missing my black truffles. Yummy. Disco Fries. Get them they're so darn good you'll want more. These aren't your southern nana's cheese fries though so be prepared. Parking is plenty. Ambiance is perfection Food is delish Service is spot on I can't wait to go back to CSG. Sure it's a 2 hour drive for us but it's a perfect place for us to meet my family out and have a nice evening. A real restaurant in a wooded modern pub environment. The food is full of quality choices in both a traditional entree style and the modern small plates variety. I started with their red flight of moderately priced wines. While all were gone, 2 combined an earthiness and fruity flavor that melded well with the food choices. The also have a wide selection of beer and full bar. We started with small plates including the tuna, falafel and salad. By the time the 4 of us had wandered through desert, we had polished off a half a dozen more small plates including some excellent sweet potato fries. From our group only one of us ventured in a full entree, a rib eye special which was cooked perfectly. Since we had to satisfy a few special diets, they altered their desert item and produced a scrumptious warm dates with maple syrup desert. It melted in our mouths, was healthy to eat and offered dates in a different temperature and texture die to the warming of the dish including the sweetness of the maple syrup. This dish creates a sweetness that is beyond the artificial tastes found in most desserts. The service was excellent and set off by the fun and humor of the waitstaff. Prices were reasonable, but after all those small plates it is not an inexpensive venue. read more

This past week I decided to forego my usual Friday pub-fare to give Cedar Street Grille a try. This is one of only a handful of restaurants that have an account with Tree House Brewing in Brimfield, so I thought it might be good to have a few beers and try some of the small plates. I was initially tempted to get an entree, but I found the prices to be excessively high, and I wanted to at least try some food before I dropped any serious money on a dinner sized portion. The restaurant's overall atmosphere is not bad at all. Nice lighting, clean, pleasant enough. The waitstaff was very friendly, though occasionally a little overbearing. In terms of food, my girlfriend and I split a few of the "Hot Small Plates." We had the dates, fried goat cheese, disco fries, and pickle chips. Overall, it was mediocre at best. The pickle chips were tasty on the top, but the bottom layers were so grease soaked that they were largely inedible. The goat cheese was fine, but ultimately more of a gimmick than a well thought out dish. Exceptionally heavy, and I thought it was a little odd to have a quarter inch of batter around cheese and then spread that batter and cheese on the bread. Speaking of bread, the crostini served with the cheese was so dry that it essentially disintegrated into a bland powder after the first bite. The dates were actually fairly good, but in my opinion charging $7 for four individual dates is absolutely insane. I was expecting a small platter of dates given the menu description's lack of size indication. Finally, the disco fries were fine, but again, the portion size was not adequate for the price. The cheese sauce was nice, but there wasn't much of it on the fries at all. In the end, I would say there's no reason to avoid Cedar Street Grille per se, but I would not endorse trying it either. If this were in the heart of a city like Boston, the prices might be within reason, but given it's location and the quality of food, they are borderline laughable. I can't in good conscience give one star, because nothing was actually bad, but I also feel a little uncomfortable giving two stars as I will certainly never recommend this place to my friends or family. read more

This restaurant truly has ambience and is a place to go for anything from a date to a business meeting (I went here for the latter). Though it is a bit pricey, the food is creatively prepared and very good. Portions of both food and wine are healthy and overall well worth the price. I find the meats (lamb, steak, etc.) are better than fish and seafood entrees, thus not a great place to bring a vegetarian or pescetarian. If it were not for that, I would give 5 stars. read more

This was my firs trip to Sturbridge and the sole reason was to eat at Cedar Street Grille. I chose this place based on Yelp and by looking at the menu featuring small plates; which is always fun. I made a reservation just in case and man glad I did. When we arrived, the party before us were told that the wait was close to an hour. The restaurant has a cool and trendy atmosphere that I wasn't expecting. We were seated near the back with a view of the kitchen. Our waitress came over promptly after we were seated and asked us for drink orders. Our waitress came over another time and weren't ready again but she was very friendly and kept telling us to take our time. My friend is not an adventurous eater so we ended up with the sliders, mac & cheese, fried pickles and pork tacos. Everything was delicious. The mac & cheese was very cheesy and heavy. The pickles were light and sweet, the sliders were juicy and delicious and the pork tacos were seasoned well. We received two tacos and sliders each. We were full with those four small plates. I thought it was very affordable. It was ALL good. Again, our waitress was great. Very bubbly and friendly. She was helpful and down to earth. If I am ever in the area again we will be back. read more

I'd been to the Cedar Street Grille once before and had such a pleasant experience that I had no doubt tonight's visit would be any different- Cedar Street Grille lived up to my expectations again! My sister and I arrived starving & were promptly greeted, sat & offered drinks. Our waitress was patient as we took a few minutes to decide upon our order. We had such a hard time deciding between items that we decided to order 3 and share them all. The lobster sliders had a perfect ratio of lobster meat to mayo & were served with butter on the side so as to not create a greasy mess- I did not feel the need to even add any butter! The Garlic Shrimp came as 3 large shrimp in a garlic butter wine sauce with cherry tomatoes & a crostini- a perfect app! Our heavier part of the meal was the jalapeño chorizo Mac & Cheese... This may sound spicy but it had just the right amount of kick! I cannot wait to go back to try more items!! read more

First impressions were awesome. Made reservations and was able to be seated earlier than planned. Ordered small plates: Fried Goat Cheese = to die for. Crostini was seductive on its own with its buttery/garlic goodness. the raisin/chutney perfect match with earthy herby cheese. Calamari = excellent, fried pickles included were amazing. will definitely get as side on next visit. Fattoush salad = perfectly dressed Greek type salad. I appreciated that it didn't come out freezing cold like salads from most places. Perfect balance of ingredients. It was like each bite had one of everything. Also had Buffalo Chicken Mac n Cheese This was very flavorful and just enough spice. Unfortunately with the small plate feast I had to doggie bag the mac n cheese. This isn't a good "reheat" because of the REAL cheddar cheese used; the oil separated. Ambience was nice. My party was seated in the bar dining room. It was a bit noisy because of horse racing going on but was still able to converse with my friends. The place gets crowded so reservations are a must. With that said, we never felt rushed to leave. I hate it wait staff come and clear plates too early or frequently ask "Are you finished with that?". There was none of this at Cedar Street Grille. Water glasses were always refilled as well. Menu has plenty of offerings and is not overwhelming with choices. I'll definitely recommend to friends and hope to visit again myself. read more

My friends and I had been really excited for this meal. We had tried to eat here once before but there was over an hour wait, so we made reservations for a different time a few weeks later. We were the only ones there at 430 on a Sunday. They served hummus and tortilla chips as an appetizer but the tortilla chips were stale and the hummus would have been better paired with bread or pita chips. Two of us ordered the avocado and feta salad, which lacked flavor and pizzazz and was served on a plate much too small. The avocado was brown and some of the tomatoes were rotten on the inside. We also tried the pissaladiere and the mac and cheese. The pissaladiere was advertised as drizzled in honey but it was saturated and much too sweet. The mac and cheese lacked flavor, but was creamy and not so bad with salt and pepper. The best items we got were the onion strings and tomato basil soup, which was fantastic by the way, but to say that those are the best two items on the menu doesn't say much about the food here. They need to focus less on presentation and more on flavor and quality. Overall, they're trying way too hard and it shows. read more

Ok I really wanted to like this place since it is up the street from where I now live. I have been trying to hit all the highly rated places since moving here 2 years ago. Last minute decision to stop by around 4:30pm. First off I guess this place likes reservations even before 5pm. First impression was the hostess who when we approached was apparently on the phone with someone trying to make a Mother's Day reservation. There was absolutely no acknowledgement from her but clearly kept stating how busy they were tonight and how her computer just shut down on her. Yet, I glanced around and there were only a few tables and a few people at the bar, my guess is that they may have had a solid number of later reservations, but yet still no acknowledgement from her who was about my Mother's age and as my daughter stated clearly very Bourgie/Bourgeois (aka: boujee). I didn't care at that point I was hungry as I hadn't had anything except iced coffee all day. Mind you my daughter hadn't had anything to eat either, this will be the moral of my review. The hostess Finally acknowledged us and asked us if we had a reservation and I said no and again she had to reiterate how busy they were and proceeded to try to get into the computer when another employee I'm assuming was a server attempted to help her with the computer. We had been standing in a pretty long time before we we were acknowledged. Then this hostess proceeded to seat us at the smallest table possible in a very dark area and said "even though this table has a reservation I'm sure you'll be finished by 6:30 PM." So that led me to look at the menu which was very sparse with it's choices but each of us decided to pick out something on the smaller side because the large dinner plates didn't have much of a choice. They seem to have quite the selection of alcoholic drinks, sadly I'm not a drinker and my daughter is not of age to drink so that and it turned really limited our drink selection. Our server came over and took my drink order. I ordered a craft beer from Salem , MA which was in a can. I will remind myself again that I hate beer in a can. When she bought the drink we were ready to order. I asked her pleasantly if she had to choose between these two dishes which one would she choose and while she answered me, her response was somewhat that she was annoyed that I even asked. While our waitress was pleasant she wasn't very engaging throughout the entire visit. When we got our food which took a while... it was hot so I was happy about that. It tasted pretty good. I ordered the pork belly sliders With truffle fries and my daughter ordered lobster gnocchi. While we had no definite complaints about the food at the time of eating because everything was just OK. It was not the best meal I ever had but it was good. I even ordered a dessert to try to find a WOW factor for this meal and it just didn't have it... the crème brûlée was mediocre at best, but the homemade whipped cream was very good. Later on that evening , after each of us had our ONE meal for the day both of us felt violently nauseous to the verge of vomiting... both of us at the same time were both up all night with bellyaches and while neither one of us actually got sick we both knew it was from the food. The only thing that the two of us had the same were my truffle fries and I'm not quite sure if that was the culprit or if it was poor hand hygiene. At any rate, I don't think we will be going back to that place or recommending it to anybody who comes to Sturbridge for a visit. read more

I've now been here twice and cans ay that I had a really fantastic meal both times I came! They have a small but nice selection of craft beers, and their cocktail menu is great. My mom and I both got an espresso martini that was just amazing. We shared some appetizers, and I think the fried goat cheese app might be my favorite. My brother got the steak pablo, and called it "possibly the best meal I've ever had". I got the fish special, and my mom loved her teriyaki salmon. The service here is great. It's a nice weekend "anytime" place, and is also great for special occasions and celebrations. Quality is what you'd find in Boston or another major city, so I was especially happy to see this so close to my hometown. read more

Great place for brunch. We have been there a few times over past 3 years. They feature a really inventive menu. My only reason to take away one star is the brunch menu is a bit short of items. This fact is by no means a reason not to go. The items on their menu are excellent. Their breakfast oriented options like hash, waffles, etc. are done to perfection. The specials, on the days we have been there, are super creative and not ordinary. Very cool. Cocktails at brunch, sure thing. Great drinks. With all that being said, the best attribute of this place is the warm, friendly, and attentive staff. They have always made spot on recommendations. Quick to refill your coffee. The bar has a great atmosphere, very upbeat. The staff is friendly and attentive. We started with cocktails...of course! The Thai Basil Blood Orange Margarita was exceptional 1 was definitely enough, but you'll want 2 (seriously:o) My friend had the Cedar Manhattan and enjoyed enough to have two. Side Salad: Feta & Avocado - with romaine, hearts of palm, dried cranberries, grape tomatos english cukes with a light lemon vinaigrette. PERFECT! Also I tried the Pan seared scallops with a cauliflower puree, butternut squash caponata with shaved grana (cheese) These were tasty, and artistically presented However we would have liked at least 4 scallops, 3 are hard to share its the splitting of the 3rd one that gets ify ...um, who gets the larger piece (me of course!) For the $14 price I think it should merit at least 4 scallops. (or I would have given them a 5 vs 4) Would love to share photos but don't see an option for ??? Sturbridge is quickly becoming a go to spot for great new restaurants and good beer. You can add Cedar Street Grille to the list of spots to stop at. They specialize it tapas style plates, but do offer regular entrees and full size salads. We had the pulled pork sliders, fried goat cheese, fried pickles, and truffle mac and cheese. Hard to decide what I enjoyed more, the mac and cheese or the mac and cheese! The goat cheese plate was great but a little odd, it came with two nearly hockey puck sized fried goat cheese and only two small pieces of bread, so we are most of it without bread. The beer selection here is great too, they've a large bottle/can list, and while the draft list is small (4 or 5 beers) all the drafts are hard to find anywhere else. I consider myself a big beer fan (read snob) and I've never hears of anything they were offering. My favorite was the Strawberry Smoovy IPA by Mighty Squirrel. Cedar Street has been an especially great place for takeout during the pandemic. For a Valentine Day treat, they certainly didn't disappoint. Every thing was superb. Always enjoy their tasty sliders and glad we also tried their Vermont sharp mac/cheese and garlic shrimp. First time for me. My sister had been before for dinner. Started with an unusual cocktail "burning bush". Grapefruity and peppery. My sister had a very flavorful Bloody Mary. Started with the crazy dates. These are absolutely wonderful. Excellent sweet and savory contrast. I had the ham and eggs sliders, with a hollandaise sauce, sis had the salmon gallettes. Everything was delicious. The only negative is the amount of time from order to service. I didn't expect diner speed, but the place was moderately busy, but not jammed. Regardless, I will return. I REALLY enjoyed my meal here last night. I went with two friends and split a number of small plates - highlights included the fish tacos, garlic shrimp, lobster sliders, and friend bananas for desert. We were a little worried about the Yelp designation of "dressy attire," but don't let that stop you - the hostess had on flip flops and you can be seated at the bar in casual dress. Food is delicious.We have been here three times for lunch.The bar area was never crowded ,clean and nice atmosphere.Appetizer dates are like a dessert and the Black Coffee in Bed cocktail wondetful.Would have given 5 stars but the waitress the past two times seemed more interested in talking to the men seated at the bar than taking care of anyone else.Will return but next time sit in the restaurant area. read more

We came up from NJ to visit family and stopped here based on the Yelp reviews. This place is a combo of Tapas and a few large plates. My wife ordered the fried chicken large plate that came with potatoes and spinach. I ordered glazed salmon. The salmon was cooked well but it wasn't really glazed and could have use some ginger. My wife's fried chicken was amazing and moist. The spinach and potatoes were cooked to perfection. We also ordered a side of the truffle mac and cheese. Everyone loved it except for me because I thought it was a bit greasy. My wife gobbled it up, however. My wife ordered a cocktail off the cocktail menu and wasn't overly impressed with it. She typically only likes craft cocktails that are NYC quality, however. This one was a bit watery as it didn't have slow melting ice. It wasn't memorable either. read more

After a full day of driving I was pleased to find this place for dinner. Drinks were delicious as well as the crazy dates (I enjoyed one and took the rest home for breakfast). Scallops were cooked perfectly, melted in your mouth. I couldn't decide between the crab cakes or lobster sliders. My server said they were able to change up my order and give me one of each, problem solved! I ended this very tasty meal with the Oreo pudding pie, delish! Was in town this past weekend for a wedding and was looking for a quiet lunch spot after a long drive. Surprisingly, the Cedar Street Grille was not on the list of recommended area restaurants at our hotel. Thankfully, a quick Yelp search showed that Cedar Street Grille was a local hot spot! It did not disappoint. I was not expecting to find such creative, high quality food in the quaint town of Sturbridge, on the tiny Cedar Street. It was a late lunch for us (around 2pm), so the place was nearly empty and the host kindly let us pick our seats. The space was casual and relaxing, with a separate dining room and bar. We ordered the "crazy dates" to start, and WOW, what a treat! Huge, sweet medjool dates stuffed with goat cheese, wrapped in bacon and drizzled with balsamic reduction. The perfect salty-sweet bite. We then split a bowl of roasted tomato soup, which was smokey, cheesy and had a bit of heat at the end, and the Nicoise salad with confit tuna, which was fresh and perfectly dressed. After hearing our serving praise Chef Patty's desserts so highly, we couldn't help ourselves, and had to try his brownie. Oh. My. Gosh. Truly to DIE for. It was a wise decision to split it, since there's no way we each could have eaten one. It was incredibly decadent: a dense, deeply chocolatey, fudgy brownie, topped with smooth and airy chocolate mousse, covered in chocolate ganache studded with oreo crumbs. If you're in the area and are looking for a delicious dining experience, forgo the more popular touristy restaurants and make sure to stop at this great little bistro! read more
