I wish it were possible to give negative stars for this business. As stated in my previous review their customer service and follow through to address complaints is non-existent. I spoke with the owner directly at his request. He promised to follow through with my complaint that my roof has sprung leaks in three separate places. He promised a salesman would contact me. An endless stretch of phone tag ensued. I send the salesman texts of times to either call him or he call me. He never followed through with contacting me at the agreed time. At one point, he sent me a text intended for another customer that contained excuses for not following through with that person! Spare yourself the aggravation of dealing with a company that has poor workmanship and customer service to match. I will be contacting their competitor to repair the damage this company has done to my home. January 2017- The saga continues: Since reading the owner of this company response on Yelp two weeks ago I have left him TWO messages containing all of my contact information. I note in a Yelp review from the past two weeks another customer whose experience is very similar to my own. I do not know what game this company is trying to perpetrate but I do not have the time to be bothered anymore. If this company spent their efforts performing quality work with the same determination as they spend slamming their customers and making excuses, they would be a A+ company. Done. read more

I could write a series of reviews, screenplays & books about Cedar Valley. For brevity, I will only touch on three areas: leaks, vents & customer service. LEAKS: At the end of the first day of roofing I noticed dozens of water stains on my ceiling in every room of the house. The lead roofer somehow blamed this on the county inspector who wanted to inspect the deck under the roof liner. Eventually a handyman was sent out to paint over all the water stains on our ceiling. LEAKS PART 2: A week or so after completion more water stains appeared. The handyman (not a roofer) was sent once again. He couldn't find the source but he applied copious amounts of white, bathroom caulk on & in-between some shingles. The leak continues. At this point I have buckets in my attic to collect the water. My only option now is to get up on the roof (I'm 53 yrs old) and run a hose over the shingles while my wife waits in the attic with a flashlight. We discovered the water source near one of the vents. Many phone calls later & handyman is back on the roof replacing shingles. VENTS: None of the tubing from the bathroom/kitchen hood/dryer/gas water heater vents were connected to the roof vents. At best some of the tubing was randomly nailed to wooden beams but most were left dangling. Many, many phone calls/e-mails had to be sent on this one. The woman at the home office could not grasp the idea that the hot lint from a dryer needed to be vented from the house, not spewed into the attic. I had to send screenshots from the Home Depot website to prove my point. After a few weeks, Mr Handyman was back installing the vent flanges. (side note: our neighbor had also gone with Cedar Valley. When I told him about the vent situation, he went into his attic & found the same thing). CUSTOMER SERVICE: I've done customer service & I know it's a thankless job. However, I think CS should know something about the product or service they support. Also, when you make an appointment with somebody try to actually show up! My wife & I had to leave work early several times to meet with the local Cedar Valley people to inspect our roof damage. We would always call the home office when they didn't show. More than once the local people would tell the home office that they had gone to our house & we weren't home!!! How nice!! But when it was time to pickup the final check, they arrived early!! read more

Cold called (violating Do Not Call list) about inspecting roof for hail damage. Agreed to a "free assessment". Representative showed up, did not want to go on roof, and when asked for references refused to provide them and left. read more

Our initial project manager was awesome and helpful at getting everything together. BUT after his work was done the follow-up, communication and overseeing of project was awful! Tiles were 4 months late, which wasn't that unusual after Irma. But once they arrived no communication when project started, difficult to know when pallets, dumpsters, etc. would be placed in our driveway or ever removed, virtually no onsite supervision of project once underway, delay we weren't told about, review of detailed invoice missing, no reply to email or voicemail until resent multiple times. read more

Please do not use this company. They caused major damage to the soffits on 2 of my gables. There answer was that soffits are not part of a roof. Mind you these gables are on the roof. After much fighting they did fix what they damaged, but added all the soffits are rotten. My guess to try to void any future issues. Wow why did they not replace all when doing the roof??? Their only answers now, after waiting 4 months is: we need more money from your insurance, it is not part of a roof, previous water damage. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!! Horiable company! They are scammers! They tore are roof off right before a storm was coming. It started to rain they put a tarp on and left! WATER POURED into our house ALL NIGHT! They came the next morning we told them what happen. They came inside to look. They said they would take care of us not to worry. The owner and his brother hired service master to take care of all the damage. Three years later we still don't have our main floor repaired. And they have NOT PAID FOR ALL THE DAMAGE AND REPAIRS!!! They keep telling us they will release funds and never do. $25,000 of damage. They are now saying they won't pay for any of it. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Save yourself from a major headache. Cedar Valley replaced our roof last summer. We were very pleased with the service and the quality we received from this company. It was the second time they replaced our roof shingles and each time they handled everything with the insurance company. However last week, with the spring thaw after the winter from hell, water leaked into our family room ceiling. I called the company and an employee offered to stop out to check it out even though he thought it was probably caused from ice dams which are not part of the warranty. When he arrived, he climbed up a ladder and using a small hatchet, chopped down a huge ice dam, then he saw a larger one farther up our roof and he got his own ladder from his truck and for an hour he chopped and shoveled snow off the roof in that area. I realize this was not a required service, but as a senior citizen I can't say how grateful I was to have him go this extra mile to help us out and stop the leaking. We are very pleased with the customer service and with the quality and appearance of the roof. Any and all questions or concerns were answered and addressed immediately. I would recommend this company to anyone. read more
