    Lamb gyro and fries

This place is excellent! It is a hole in the wall Middle Eastern spot that has reasonably priced food, great gyros and amazing fries. When I went, it was take out only and the neighborhood was not great around the restaurant, but the food was on point it was very reasonably priced. I got the #28 lamb gyro with fries and a drink. Gyro was very good, a little too much sauce in my personal opinion but I just used a napkin to wipe a little away. The fries were really good with a good crisp when you bite into them. Highly recommend this spot.

Don't judge by the outside look. This little hole in the wall is great. They have a large menu above the register. I asked for some help, and the young man behind the counter recommended the 21. It has chicken, peppers, onions, and rice. The amount of food was enough for two. The smell was good. I watched the cook making magic as he cooked the food. I opened the Styrofoam container and couldn't wait to dig in. The first taste was nice. The food was hot and had really good flavor. The cook and the young man were both very nice. I will returned

    Chicken & falafel shshlik

Great small hole in the wall place that sells yummy and affordable to-go Mediterranean food. Though the environment is very simple and plain and seating is limited, the food is tasty and service is quick. You simply order on the counter and get your drinks/deserts/other refrigerated food items from the fridge, and they'll call you when your food is ready! My boyfriend who has a strong aversion to cilantro was still able to enjoy the food. They serve the shshlik with half cilantro rice and half brown rice but the spices of the overall dish made the cilantro manageable for my partner. Great place to pick up a meal on the way home from work!

We found this no frills, small kabob restaurant off the highway on one of our road trips to DC when we pulled over for gas. If you know about kabob spots, you know little spots like this pack that flavor! We decided on the Chicken Tika and Beef Kofta With rice as well as the Chicken Tika which wasn't on the menu but they were kind enough to accommodate since the wife doesn't eat beef. Our meals were wonderful, as expected. The spices were perfect and our dishes came with two different types of rice. The most memorable to me was the cilantro rice. As a Latina who loves cilantro, I've never had rice like this. It was sooo flavorful!! Overall, the service and food were delish!! We'll always stop here on our trips if we pass through Delaware.

Super fast and yummy kebab and love the shashlik as well. Sometimes they have okra as a side and that's so good!

Tasty rise, juicy meat. No restroom. Small room. Complicated to find. Good place to take out, not to eat inside.

Plenty of room . Excellent food. Good wait staff . Reasonable price. The only negative is finding parking near the restaurant.

This is my go to Kabob and Gyro place. Nothing fancy but the food is always freshly prepared and the value is there.

I'm providing this honest review as a constructive feedback for improvement…read more We came across this place online but were only able to try it recently...I was honestly disappointed by many things: First, when a place advertises shawarma meat and posts videos of the famous Lebanese shawarma revolving cone that grills the marinated meat as the cone turns, you would expect that the shawarma plate you order is an authentic shawarma meat cut off the shawarma cone...unfortunately, this was not the case at cafe baladi. I respect the owner who's advertising authentic homemade Lebanese food but the shawarma meat we got was not an authentic shawarma meat...this was meat that was cooked either in a pan or in the oven and was not tender because it was not probably marinated and it's not grilled on the shawarma cone. Placed that have the famous shawarma cone you can usually see in the restaurant either behind the counter or through a window in the back - this was not the case. Second the plate included the choice of hummus or baba ghannouj and tabbouleh...we picked baba ghannouj and we got the tabbouleh...again, the baba ghannouj did not taste at all authentic nor homemade...it tasted like the baba ghannouj in a conserved can that you find in grocery stores. Authentic baba ghannouj is made from grilled eggplant tahini lemon juice and salt. Third, the Lebanese tabboule is made from finely chopped vegetables (parsley, tomatoes, onions, lemon juice, and burgul). Unfortunately again this tabbouleh was not finely chopped and it lacked the burgul. We were really disappointed. The only positive thing was that the service was quick.

Balboa Steaks - Chicken Cheesesteak (10/10)…read more I've always said Balboa has my favorite cheesesteaks, but after ordering their chicken cheesesteak for the second time, I'm ready to say something I never thought I'd say... This is the best sandwich I've ever eaten. Seriously. I've had great meatball subs, Reubens, turkey clubs, Italians, cheesesteaks, PB&Js, egg salad--you name it. The only sandwich that's even in the same conversation is Ms. Cindy's Italian from Ioannoni's, and even that is a close second. This chicken cheesesteak is a perfect 10/10. Why? * Flavor: Outstanding. Every bite is packed with flavor. * Seasoning: Perfectly seasoned. Nothing bland, nothing overpowering. * Cheese Ratio: Exactly how it should be. Every bite has cheese without drowning the sandwich. * Bread: Fresh and soft while still holding together from start to finish. * Moisture: This is what separates it from most chicken cheesesteaks. The chicken is incredibly moist and juicy without making the roll soggy. Most places treat a chicken cheesesteak like it's just a cheesesteak with chicken substituted in. Balboa doesn't. It feels like they actually designed the sandwich around the chicken instead of just replacing the beef. I even texted the owner after eating it because it was that good. I told him: "Flavor. Seasoning. Cheese ratio. Bread. Moist and juicy. God damn." That pretty much sums it up. If you've only ever ordered the regular cheesesteak from Balboa, do yourself a favor and try the chicken cheesesteak at least once. It completely changed my opinion of what a chicken cheesesteak can be. Final Rating: 10/10 Best sandwich I've ever had.

When I say " the best cheesesteak I've ever had" I am including the highly ranked Philly spots as well. This place is worth at least a 25+ minute drive.
