After one too many bad haircuts from the walk-in shops I decided to take the time and spend the money on a decent, dedicated barber. I expected the appointment to be shorter than posted, with walk-ins accommodated between the scheduled cuts. Not so. Cee really does take the time with each client to give them a good cut and trim. Low key and meticulous on his craft. Limited chat. Very relaxing! Which is not a description of a haircut that I would ever have used before this. Private cutting room. After going to hair stylists for the last 20 years, I wanted to try a barber just for a change so I did a quick Google Search and found Cee having good reviews so I gave him a shot. I found him to be somewhat rough around the edges and although he calls himself honest and not liking pointless chit chat (which I can appreciate to a certain extend), I'd say he's a little bit more on the side of rude. Maybe I caught him on a bad day, but he was taciturn in a way that made it really uncomfortable. I really didn't appreciate when he mumbled under his breath and I quote "I fucking hate it when people do that" after I peeked at the progress in one of the GIANT MIRRORS he has propped on each side of the chair. That's rude, not honest. I appreciate the fact that the man has a process but maybe giving the client a little heads-up would go a long way so that they're not blind sided by his temper tantrum. What about the haircut? It was actually really good but half the hair dressers in Reno can achieve the same and, at that price point, I can go back to a salon, deal with a pleasant person and have a glass of wine on the side. Very glad I followed Yelpers' advice and gave Cee a shot! By far the best barbershop experience I have ever had. Everything--from scheduling the appointment to leaving was top notch. First of all--this place is cleaner than most doctors' offices and I love the fact that it is more of a "studio" than a typical barbershop. The haircut that I got was great--and my head was a victim of neglect for a long time. Cee takes the time to do it right. The other thing that I found refreshing was the advice I got after my cut. Being referred to an economical yet effective and readily available product that I can get off the shelf at any store is a nice change from being told that buying some 50 dollar salon quality shampoo was a nice change. Moving from the Bay Area recently, I was worried about finding a Barbershop. Furthermore, a Barber that had the skill set to make me comfortable with them cutting my hair. Then I found Mr. Cee on Yelp and his shop, The Biggest Little Barbershop. It's a small shop inside a complex (Phenix) of other small shops, but it's welcoming and perfect for the one-on-one interaction. You know the jitters and awkwardness of being in a Barbershop with other people? That doesn't happen here. Mr. Cee ONLY does cuts by appointment. He also breaks the awkwardness between you and him, which shows his customer service and professionalism. He holds his work to extreme criticism, so much that he won't let you leave or look at it until he feels his work is satisfactory to him. That speaks VOLUME to how much passion he has for his trade! Prior to this, I've had the same barber for FIVE YEARS. Mr. Cee will have my business for as long as I reside in Reno. I'm already looking forward to my next haircut! read more

Not gonna lie, I enjoyed Cee's service initially. But first impressions are always superficially engineered in order to come off as impressive. The first time you go to Cee you will figure that his high prices are based on the fact that he gives a quality haircut with unique service. I continued to go to him for that sole reason but then noticed that that quality and that service started to fade. I no longer got the massage or hair washing I got the first time and I went home with cuts from the straight razor on my head. Just as these things started to disappear, so too did my rationale behind going to him for my hair cuts. I found arrogance and pride masked my his calm and collected personality. He made this very clear when I asked him for his opinion about a cut. I was replied to with crude and frankly pretentious remarks about how I should do what I want because the opinions of others don't matter. While this could serve as a good message, a haircut is NOT the situation with which one should relay life lessons. I wanted a professional opinion about a haircut and I didn't get one. As a side note the constant sex music made me more uncomfortable than relaxed. Plenty of other barbers in Reno that'll give you a more quality cut in less time with less money, zero BS. read more

Worse experience ever! I'm originally from Los Angeles and I'm visiting Reno for the weekend and decided to get a haircut while I'm down here, this barber cuts out of little back room and told me not to talk to any of the other barbers or even say hi to them cause it would distract them. Once I was seated he asked me what haircut I wanted and I told him, I turned around so I can explain to him about the hard part I wanted and he lectured me about never ever turning his chair around and that I need to keep my head straight! If I wanted to be yelled at for turning my head I would have just got a haircut from my dad, after 10mins of silence and awkwardness he tells me he has rules for his clients and if they can't follow them than he can't cut there hair! Wtf!?? Rules??? It's a haircut! It should be enjoyable! The only reason I didn't walk out of this barbershop or barber room is because he would have still charged me 35$ for the mediocre haircut I revived ! Worse experience getting a haircut! read more
