I booked a 1:00pm appointment with Rodrigo G today. I've been waiting 6 months for this haircut because my family is low-income and $70 is a big deal for us. I got ready early, but 30 minutes before the appointment my car battery died out of nowhere. I called him immediately to explain and asked to reschedule for any day he had open. Instead, he told me to book with someone else and pay another $70. And honestly how could I have given a 4-hour notice for an unexpected dead battery? I told him the second I found out. I have 3 sons and Rodrigo has cut all of their hair at one point or another. They range in age from 4-14 and all have very different hairstyles. Rodrigo has done intricate designs in fades, curly styles and longer styles for my boys and they always come out wonderful. The last time we went, one of my sons became sick to his stomach out of the blue. It was incredibly embarrassing, but Rodrigo and his team handled everything with such professionalism. They entertained my youngest son while I tended to my sick child, refused to let me clean anything up and never once made us feel bad about the situation. Called one day to see if I could get my son a haircut, guy on the phone said absolutely just come on in. I showed up 20mins later and he told me I had over an hour wait and nobody in the shop greeted me as I walked in... not impressed in the slightest. read more

Not the place id recommend to get your kid's haircut. I called and spoke to the owner he said everyone there is "comfortable and happy cutting kids hair" . My toddler has a lot of hair, and it was about chin length, but is also very tolerant of haircut. During the appointment he sat perfectly still, and the only time he barely moved it was during the hairdryer so nothing to affect the hair cut. Appt started about 15 mins late which is not rare but also can be tough when on a toddlers schedule. The two biggest reasons for the low score is it just seemed like no one cared for our business or the walk in that showed up shortly after us and the haircut was frankly incredibly uneven and not at all what we asked for and showed We were barely addressed (no one else around) just the owner and person getting buzzed. The walk in sat for close to 20 mins before the owner asked him if he had an appt he said no and was told someone would take care of him. Less than ten later another stylist shows up, again doesnt address anyone or say anything. 10 or so minutes go by he then addresses the walk in and says he has an appt in 15 mins but can do something fast. At this point the walk in seemed clearly frustrated . I brought in three pictures all showing the same type of style and expressed that i did not want length taken off the top or the sides razored . On the first cut the stylist looked at me and said "oh thats probably more than you wanted huh?" I said yes but at that point damage was done. The last tough part of this all is that the movie rocky was on pretty loud and not necessarily kid friendly. Not a " kids " haircut only place i get it but there were several occasions that the stylist stopped and watched the movie for a good amount of time. Again, if this was an adult haircut- it would be fine if thats your scene and maybe you can enjoy the movie but while trying to keep a kid happy and calm- time is of the essence. The majority of the cut was fine. The stylist is clearly talented with lineups and fades. That turned out good. But the longer top and front part was unfortunately pretty uneven. Well ide like to say don't go by all the negative reviews on here. This is a cool little place. They are a young group of guys so it's definitely sporty slang talk. But regardless of that I got my haircut and it was awesome. I got a lot of compliments. And the guy really took his time. I waited maybe for 10 min and got to see all the guys work. They take their time and are focused when making their cuts for specialty hair cuts. I will be coming here from here on out. read more

If I could leave negative stars I would. I went to Rodrigo as a customer consistently and the experience became worse and worse every time. First off let me say that this place is the most unprofessional barber shop I've ever been in. Porn on the walls, vulgar slurs being thrown around with no consideration what so ever! Rodrigo is egotistical, Self-Centered, narcissistic, and ignorant to say the least. I've been nothing short of nice and pleasant to this gentleman, but he would always find one way or another to make me feel awkward and uncomfortable. I stepped on the chair to sit in it and he scolds me for stepping on the wrong part of the chair. Get a new chair if there's an issue and stop blaming your customers cause you're too broke to buy a new one. I scheduled a haircut but then asked for beard as well. He made me feel stupid because I didn't schedule the beard but he still did it but made me feel bad for it. After all that today was the final straw. I was 9 minutes late and he was just finishing someone up and no one was waiting at the barber shop. He looks at me as soon as I walk in and says "Don't worry about it I'll hook you up" I was confused. He didn't say hello. He didn't say what up how's your day. He said he was gonna hook me up and not charge me a cancellation fee because I was nine minutes late HE WASNT EVEN DONE YET! I just walked out and said it's all good. If you would rather scam someone then provide a service then I would rather take my money elsewhere. Let me give you a piece of advice Rodrigo. Don't be disrespectful to the people who are feeding your family homeboy. I was gonna give you $75 for a haircut bruh. I'm paying you, you're not paying me. If that 9 mins was worth $75 plus the other times I would have came then so be it. Hope it feels good sitting there wasting your time when you could have been making money. By the way he tries to charge your card beforehand but I always put a card that gets declined he really thought lolololllllll Edit: He tried charging another card I used before for the FULL AMOUNT! Luckily I didn't have money on that card either try again buddy! Lmaooooo This is Pure proof this guys a scam artist and take advantage of people. Stay as far away from this place as you can. Rodrigo straight up lied about me being the last appointment of the day cause I showed up 10 minutes late an he didn't want to turn around and come back into the parking lot. I got a cut from a newguy just out of barber school who butchered the fade. Meanwhile Rodrigo shows back up and tries to blow me off knowing he hustled $20 for the cancelation fee when I showed up. He had plenty of time to trim the sides of my head up in-between his appointments. I never herd so many inconsistent excuses from someone about it. Then they all start talking shit about the "white boy" when I walked out. Way overpriced for the service. Dishonest, scam artist.
