Had a friend recommend this place when I was thinking spray tan for an upcoming wedding. I bought a Groupon that got me a "Mystic" spray tan for a steal. I have done tanning beds on and off for a looooooong time but never had tried a spray tan! I read the mixed reviews about their customer service and gotta tell you that I did not experience that at all. I called the morning of the day I was planning to come in, the gal who answered the phone was super sweet and informative. When I came in that afternoon I was helped by a different person who was just as informative and helpful. So I got medium, with a bronzer and scent. Went into this super cool booth with zero prior experience and whoa! What have I been missing all these years people? What an easy and quick way to look like I just spent a week in Cancun! Color started popping about 2-3 hours later. Next day I was full on tan. It is day 5 and I still have some great color. I will return, I thought the pricing was solid and the staff I interacted with were great. read more

Have been a patron for many years and have seen the massive turnover of young women through the years, but have to say, the current manager "Sierra" and the latest crew are the worst customer service providers I've ever encountered. Rude, rude, rude!!!! Beds are greasy and not well cleaned, floors are not swept/mopped, towels smell like the cleaning product and as if never washed. Just gross! 5/3 - Update to my previous post. I sent an email to Celebrity Tanning Corporate office with comments/concerns, and as expected no response. It leads me to believe that Sierra's rude/nasty behavior is acceptable to management/owner. read more

Everyone gets the deal once and I chose the most expensive bed with face lamps/ac/music/and some voice activated feature??? It was $1.15 with tax. Take Heed! I tried a Mystic Spray Tan on the eve of a triathlon (didn't want to show up pasty-white) but would NOT have gone had I known.... As a new customer, they will demand your driver's license and run the magnetic strip through their computer. Your name and personal info are now at their advertising/selling/distribution mercy, just for starters. The gal was friendly but in that hyper-fake exagerated way. Perhaps it's just the nature of the business. The TWO worst aspects of this establishment are still to follow... First, they upcharge $5 from the relatively expensive base-price for anything above "light." When I tried to get an idea of how faint "light" actually was, the gal could only come up with one word, over and over, "it's subtle." Clearly a word she was trained to regurgitate. I opted for light (thinking the process has to be somewhat productive at more than $20?!) But it wasn't. It was very light... noticeable, but just so. Ok, fine, it was sublte. Had I to do it over, I would have picked "medium" ... but with an upcharge?? Second, this is the spray that smells strongly for days. This is especially true if you're going to a sweating event (yoga, gym, giving a wedding toast). And definitley do not get this if you have a first-date in the next two days. Despite showering daily (but not after the first 8 hours) the odor that the chemical leaves within your skin lingers irrepressibly, for a solid 3 days (my partner could even smell it on the fourth day with nose up against skin). Btw, there are many forumulas on the market, but two main types commercially. Mystic is one and then there is the sugar-based formula that is the main competing "other." I would urge you to hold out for an establishment that uses that kind of spray. While it's a little tackier at first, if you properly air-dry at the salon, you'll be fine until you can shower 6-8 hours later. Best of all though, it produces a richer brown tone and there is no, foul, after-smell. On a positive note, Celebrity was clean and there were ample towels, barrier lotion, and wipes for before/after the session. Mystic tends to go on clear (no tint) and thus the tan must first "develop" - usually within 8-12 hours. That's ideal if you are going to be wearing light-colored clothing the same day and don't need the tan to "appear" until one or two days later. The chemical is probably the least "tacky" of all, but you'll still feel like you are coated in something and will look forward to that first shower. read more

I am writing this review to let everyone know how rude the management is in this place. In particular, Sierra, on Saturday I attempted to visit a 2nd time and had my service animal. She refused me w him so I returned w out him and she refused me service based on my condition. Stating that I had to bring in a doctors statement, this is illegal and highly unprofessional as the ADA is specific and state u do not have to disclose the nature of ur illness. I asked for upper management and she refused to give me a name. I have left an email w corporate as thecdo not have a phone number listed that I can find. She was the rudest person I have encountered here in Tucson and I will be taking action again Just an update... never did I hear back from this business after email, phone call and follow up to ask for someone above this Sierra. She refuses to give me anyone's name or contact info other than website. I find it so very amusing that this "Justin" person reviews after me and raves about how nice Sierra is. Can you say fake. He has 1 review posted. It's okay, I am taking legal action against this business and Sierra will learn that u don't treat ppl w disrespect. read more

Wow. Cannot say enough bad things about the manager. My wife came in to get a spray tan, half of her legs are completely white because the machine stopped halfway through her tan. She asked the manager "Sierra" if there was anything she could do about it and she just gave her a nasty look and said "i'll check it out thanks bye" and sent my wife on her way! She was even "vaping" in the store while my wife was there! Talk about unprofessionalism. My wife doesn't pay good money for the spray tan machine not to work and then be treated rudely. At one point my friend who tans there has asked for upper managements number and she just laughed and said something along the lines of "i'm the manager so good luck". Also, beds are greasy and disgusting. I'd give zero stars if i could!! read more

I have been coming to this Celebrity Tanning location for months and it's always a lovely experience. The tanning beds I've used here are adequate to phenomenal! I always get a quality tan. Madison assisted my sign up for a membership after I attend weekend promotion. She was kind and knowledgeable. My encounters with other staff members has been wonderful as well. Place is pretty standard. Girls working the front desk are fairly young but they always seem to be in a good mood. I've never had to wait long for a bed. They did almost fry my wife after she asked for 7 minutes and they put 12 minutes luckily she realized this and got out in time. So be cautious when entering the beds. Don't assume and fall asleep. The beds are nice and clean appreciate that deal. The whole place feels clean. I would recommend this place especially if you get the Groupon. read more

I would give this less than one star if possible! Horrible staff! They are too busy eating, texting or on their laptops to actually learn their jobs or customer service! I have gone into beds countless times only to find the bed was not restocked. I have told the staff the length of time I wanted to tan for, only to have to turn the bed off myself because they paid no attention to the time I stated I wanted! The staff gave me conflicting information about cancellation, and then laughed at me when I pointed out that as a result I would be paying unnecessarily after I moved out of state! The "manager" is rude and condescending. Beds are unclean. If you want an unprofessional environment run by immature college students, then this is the place for you! Otherwise, stay away! I had a month to month tanning contract at the Kobe location. In febuary I put my account on hold because I would be out of town until May . I signed the document to hold my account and not charge the 37 dollars . But they did charge the full amount for 2 month . I called a couple of weeks ago and the girl I talked to was very nice and told me she seen I signed the form to hold the account and she would give it to her manager the next day to credit my account .... well that was 2 weeks ago . I called the shop yesterday and talked the the manager named Sierra . She was very rude and nasty she keep telling me that she could do anything. So I asked her several time do you not see the paper I signed in February to hold the account and she said no . She basically called me a liar and refused to give me the number to the corporate office or district manager .... Because I could not find the number to the corporate office I called a Phoenix location and they was able to pull the form right up , they said that the Kobe location didn't send it but they would get it fixed for me . The lady holly in Phoenix was very nice and actually found the form right away . A little bit later a lady called me from the customer service an took care of the charges .... Sierra the manager at Kobe was very nasty and talked to me like I was a liar . When in fact she was lying and either seen the form and didn't want to Credit my account or wasn't doing her job and didn't even look ... I will never go back in this location again . I have been in customer service my whole life and if she was a manager of one of my stores she would be fired for treating someone like that . read more

online it says you can cancel your membership anytime. I was there for about 2 weeks & then decided i no longer needed the diamond membership. i went into this tanning place thinking that i could cancel whenever & change my membership--then in person i was told i had to cancel within 30 days & i was like how can i cancel it within 30 days when my membership was prorated? I even asked if i could lower my membership to the platinum level, was told no i had to keep it at the highest level because that it was i had to begin with. since they did not provide reasonable customer service skills to me, i ended up changing my debit card so the transaction failed to go through, they do not deserve my loyalty. read more

I was there on the opening day and a first time customer at this salon. My spouse and I were clients till some cross communication with billing. Waited for a few months, then rejoined seems like the bulbs are turned WAY DOWN! I tan there 4 times a week at least and my husbandaand I are not impressed at all. We are the same as we started 3 weeks ago. I've mentioned this before but I get the same answer. There as high as they can go. But as an experienced tanner I know the difference between a fully functional bed and a bed that is not working with the full heat, strong bulbs etc. So they just took my last 150$ never again. And its always we can't get a receipt especially you pay cash!! Be careful and clean up the bed before you use it. read more
