Eh. The flowers I ordered from here hardly resembled the photo from which I selected. It had no variety, just all of the same flower type, which is definitely not what the image showed. Meh. Sometimes I'm overwhelmed by florists who go above and beyond what I expect and what the photo shows. This place went below expectation. I order more flowers than the average individual as I order for many employees around the globe. All my other live flower florist reviews have been 5 stars. The arrangement was fine but it looks like anyone could have arranged it if they went to the grocery store, purchased one type of flower, got a little greenery, and assembled it themselves. This is an update only to add the picture of the flowers. Below is what I originally posted: I needed to have some flowers delivered to a recipient who lives out of state. For that reason, the person helping me said I would not know what the flower arrangement would look like ahead of time, because what would be delivered depends on what is available at the local out-of-state store. All I could get was a general description of the arrangement. What I asked for was green foliage and also some blooming flowers in a basket (preferably brown or white in color). Kim saw my order through from start to finish, was creative in helping me save money and keep within the specified budget, and loaned me buckets for transporting the flowers to Wisconsin, at no additional charge. I was in panic mode when my original florist (family member) was unable to do my wedding flowers at the last minute. I turned to Phillip's Flowers & Gifts and they came to my rescue! I knew of the store from prior purchases (i.e. Mother's Day bouquets) and recommendations from friends. I worked with Kim and James and they were wonderful! Communicating with them was the easiest and least stressful item on my wedding to-do list surprisingly. I had forgotten a set of flowers (single rose for parents during the unity ceremony) in my original order and Kim was quick to help. I admit I called the store and Kim was busy helping out a customer at that moment but the person who picked up relayed the message well for Kim to call me back right away! My wedding was in May 2021 (Covid-19 restrictions were always changing and unknown) but luckily I was able to have a small family in-person wedding. Since it was a family wedding, I had a number of family flowers to order. Phillip's Flowers provided beautiful and quality flowers for my wedding party, ushers, and family members. I enjoy looking at my wedding pictures and seeing how the flowers really added to my wedding experience. Buyer beware! Normally, Phillips was my go to trusted florist. I was really let down with my last order that was placed at the Wheaton location. Attached you will find a photo of what I ordered VS what was delivered. I know sometimes flowers have to be substituted, but they could have at least made an effort to try to make it look like the photo (even and rounded vs sticking up and sloppy looking). I immediately sent an email the same day the flower was delivered (Friday). I received no response and follow-up on Monday. I was told I sent it to the incorrect email and I forwarded it to the email that was provided to me (which apparently still was not the correct one). I was told a manager would call me back, I never got a call. On Tuesday, I called again and was told managers were busy and someone would call me back. After getting the runaround, I was finally able to speak with an Assistant Manager who told me none of the emails were coming through (which is shocking). I explained why I was not happy with my order and offered to text the photos. The manager didn't want to see the photos at all (why this manager would not want to see why a customer was upset is beyond me). While speaking to this manager I also explained that I was also not happy with the customer service. He basically told me that they assumed I "forgot" about it and that probably why they didn't get back to me sooner. I mean seriously?! With any florist you take a risk of paying for something and not knowing what was actually delivered, you put your trust in this florist. Had I not received the photo, I would have never known. Phillips is supposed to be TRUSTED, family owned business. The corsages, bouqet's, and boutonniere's, ceremony table flowers, and additional flowers all looked beautiful! This ship has sunk to a new level the Titanic would envy. My husband stopped at Phillip's before work Wednesday to order my surprise Valentine's day flowers. The next day was the holiday and he told me to check the front stoop for any packages if I went out. I went out for two hours in the morning, came home, no package. I caught on he ordered flowers and told him no, nothing was there. So, he started calling the shop and they told him to call Naperville because that's who delivered them. He was told a note was left on the door and the flowers were at a neighbors home. Mind you, I have an infant but still went outside to find said note and stopped at my neighbors, no flowers or note. He called again, was told the same story and a man named Steve HUNG UP ON HIM. Now, that's when I got mad. I called and was told they would look into it and call me back. This was around 5:30PM. Around 6:00, no call back, so my husband cancelled the order and just wanted his money back which was a lot. I left to run an errand and my neighbor three houses down shows up with the flowers. Okay, thank you nice neighbor. I put them in the house and ran my errand. Came home and at around 7 a man from Phillips came to pick up the order since it was cancelled. I was like, what? I put the flowers I had literally just unwrapped back in the box and told him I was going to contact the Better Business Bureau. I said the situation was ridiculous. I also said I was going to let all my friends and family know the horrible service we received which was extremely disappointing because they did our wedding flowers and pretty much every major event for the past 20 years. He started back tracking and asked how the situation could have been made better. Umm, start with actually leaving a note when you say you do. My screen door was open, they could have left one inside with where they left the flowers instead of making us call and wander around the court asking for the order. He agreed and left the flowers. My husband was horrified and to top it off they screwed up the order and I noticed they had the wrong street name on the card. I cannot contact the BBB regarding this because ultimately I did get the flowers after they spent the day at my neighbors house. I wish I had let the delivery guy take them. read more

We just received a lovely Easter bouquet, included were these delicious large butter cookies from a bakery called O my goodness. Cookies were Easter decorated and delicious! We worked with Phillip's in Wheaton for my September wedding. Super easy to work with, they listened to everything I liked/disliked, and the manager even delivered the flowers himself on my wedding day. These guys are the real deal. Everything was absolutely gorgeous, although the final arrangements for the church were not exactly what I was expecting. The flowers for me and my bridesmaids were perfect. I would recommend the Wheaton location to anyone getting married or planning an event. Very personal service from the manager. After interviewing several florists, I selected Phillips Flowers as my florist for my wedding at Danada House in Wheaton. I am SO HAPPY I chose Phillips and had the opportunity to work with Trish, my personal florist. I met with Trish several times and she was so incredibly friendly, down-to-earth, and welcoming of my unique approach to my "winter wonderland" themed December 2011 wedding. I had a lot of ideas that were things I had never seen any bride do before, and she embraced these unique ideas and helped me formulate a plan of how we could make it all work and look beautiful. And boy did it look BEAUTIFUL! She has a ton of experience and had fabulous ideas! Trish was seriously a breath of fresh air after some of the other florists my husband, mom, and I interviewed that were quite unimpressive. (Actually, when my mom and I had met with a competitor of Phillips, this competitor florist took us into the back refrigerator room to see the final bouquets for their upcoming wedding that weekend... it was only a Tuesday and the bouquets were already starting to brown on the edges! I felt so bad for that bride!) My bouquet from Phillips was SO FRESH and there was NO SIGN of wilting or browning at all! Trish was fantastic and would take as much time with us as we needed and even went out of her way on multiple occasions help me with my sometimes vague "winter wonderland" ideas and make them exactly what I wanted. A few weeks before my December wedding, Trish and I went over to Danada House together with my parents to actually point out and plan specifically where every single item would be placed -- everything down to the last lantern and luminary candle. She is super detail-oriented, which I SO APPRECIATED as a very detail-oriented bride! I am also a very budget-oriented bride, and she did a phenomenal job getting me the biggest bang for my buck. She gave me multiple options for every idea I had and I could select what I wanted to spend more and spend less on to work with my budget. I ended up getting WAY MORE than I thought I could afford, thanks to her clever and reasonable ideas! Trish, you are AWESOME. I am so happy I picked you and am so appreciative of your hard work and attention to detail in our wedding. I was also SO GLAD I asked you to come and help us before and during our ceremony. You listened to all my wishes and made my wedding ceremony and reception as beautiful and memorable as it was.
