Linnie and company designed flowers for our son and his beautiful bride. They were exquisite and had that "je ne sais quoi" that only The Wild Rose can provide. Our daughter-in-law's bouquet was SO gorgeous, as were those of her attendants and relatives. Linnie designed the bride's bouquet incorporating both grandmothers' antique rhinestone broaches. The altar arrangements were beautiful, and were so fresh that the church was able to keep them for weeks after the wedding. Everyone loved them. We have been using The Wild Rose ever since they did our wedding 7 years ago, and I have never been disappointed! The are wonderful about working in a budget, and their creativity is outstanding. In fact, I once had them do arrangements for my sister's bridal shower in Rockford, and she used pictures of their arrangements to show her florist what she wanted! They are even good about using my own props for our holiday centerpieces- I'm always bringing in different candle holders for them to incorporate, and I love it. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANY BRIDE UNLESS YOU WANT MORE STRESS AND HEARTBREAK! Wish I could give this place and Lyn zero stars! At first I thought this was a charming little place and Lyn was so sweet. We had our consultation and were interrupted by someone who was inquiring about homecoming flowers, which the staff just let her do even though it was my time, that should have been my first clue. Then after picking exactly the flowers I wanted I was sent a quote that was higher than what I had received as a preliminary quote, usually no big deal but I had communicated that the first quote was a little high and I would like to cut things. Somehow even after cutting out an entire bouquet the second quote was higher. When asked about it Lyn seemed defensive and would not confirm with me that that would be the final price until I asked her 3 times. As a bride on a budget I want to know exactly what I am paying for and there should be nothing wrong with that. She urged me to shop around and I told her "I am absolutely fine committing to the price I just need a confirmation that the price will not go past this" and after getting that confirmation I asked her how I go about putting down the deposit. I thought I had made it very clear I was choosing them from the get go and never had she mentioned anyone else was interested in my date. She never responded to me on the deposit and 2 days later I received a text that she booked my date and could not be my florist completely leaving me in a tailspin. What kind of a person does that to a bride? When everything is picked and she is excited you rip it away with absolutely no warning?! It is very clear now looking back that she was just holding out for a more expensive wedding to pay as my wedding would only cost $500 and she could obviously make more on other suckers. Very dissatisfied and disappointed in her lack of communication and how she runs her business. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANY BRIDE UNLESS YOU WANT MORE STRESS AND HEARTBREAK. read more

This is the only florist I ever go to and I have never been disappointed. Their arrangements are so beautiful and unique. You can always pick theirs out at a funeral because they are like no others. When I have ordered flowers to be sent to individuals, I generally give a price point and let the ladies do their magic rather than suggest which flowers to use myself because they have such a knack for using flowers and greenery that you just don't see from other florists. If you want a dry arrangement, this is also the place to go. They really listen to what you want and then create...just the best! read more

I wish there were more stars to give. We met Lyn at the cantigny wedding show. She had a few beautiful sample arrangements set up and was really nice. A few months later, we met with her and discussed the wedding, not only did she come up with an amazing, out-of-this-world arrangement for us, she helped us design a unique centerpiece (double happiness) and gave us some ideas on how to decorate the outdoor portion of the wedding (including this super adorable sign for the flower girl). My husband and I got married at Cantigny over the summer and used Wild Rose. We could not have been happier with our flower arrangements! From the beginning, Lyn and staff were very easy to work with. We met with three florists total, including Wild Rose, and they blew the other two florists out of the water! Lyn was extremely knowledgeable about flowers and which ones would work best for the wedding style we wanted. She also made many suggestions that we hadn't even thought of. It was a no brainer to book Wild Rose for our wedding. In the months approaching our wedding, Lyn was very easy to contact via email or text message. She helped us change a few aspects of our flowers to adjust for bridesmaid and groomsmen attire. Paying in installments was also super easy. On the day of our wedding everything turned out even more beautiful than I had imagined. My bouquet was of peonies, which weren't in season, but Lyn was able to do it.
