Quite a stylish Spanish tapas restaurant in the heart of the bustling Cumming City Center. I was in…read moretown on a quick work trip and found myself right around the corner from here when hunger struck around lunch time. I took to Yelp and found Santa Maria right down the block. The location, awesome reviews, and photos made it a no-brainer. My lunch companion and I decided to share the queso fundito and shrimp empanadas and both were great. The queso fundito came with roasted corn and a garlic toast while the shrimp empanadas were plated on top of a bed of salad. The empanadas were a nice size and I would totally order these just for myself for lunch. I added a shrimp tempura taco to round out my meal. It was juicy, a bit spicy because of the jalapeno mayo, and overall a nice way to end my meal. I'll wrap this up by congratulating them on landing a spot on Yelp's Best New Restaurants list for 2025. Only 100 businesses in the ENTIRE country get on the list - so this is huge. Based on my experience, well deserved. Definitely give them a visit soon!

The cauliflower appetizer was a hit with everyone and the portion was huge. I personally would have preferred it to be cooked a little less, as it was quite soft. The patatas bravas were decent. The tres leches cake was excellent and came as a generous slice. The milk was served on the side, which we poured over the cake. We shared it among six people, and it was just enough to satisfy our sweet tooth. Our server was very friendly, and the restaurant itself is really cute. Around 7pm on Saturday evening, just as we were leaving, a man and woman started performing live music with vocals and guitar. We were on our way to the Lou Sobh Amphitheater (just a quick walk over) to see a cover band, which made for a fun night out. This whole area in Cumming is a great place to hang out.

I took my family to this restaurant to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. We really liked the…read moredecor and aesthetics of the restaurant. I had heard many good things about the menu and could not wait to try out several dishes. We tried a couple of appetizers. The pimento cheese fritters were incredible and I loved the sauce it came with. We also tried the Parker house rolls, which were perfect for dipping in our shrimp scampi. We also tried the burrata caprese which was absolutely phenomenal. My daughter, the birthday girl had the summer into fall pasta which was very light and fresh. We also ordered a couple of drinks from the bar. I had a champagne supernova and my daughter had a lavender lemonade. For dessert, we had whiskey chocolate pecan pie and buttermilk pie. Our server was friendly and attentive. You cannot go wrong eating at this establishment. It's perfect in every way.

Arrived on a busy Monday night. Hostess said it's always busy on Mondays because so many other…read morerestaurants are closed. Was told it would be a 20 minute wait (we were there around 6:30pm) which was fine given that if we left and tried to go anywhere else, it would have taken that much time anyway. Several others came in after us and were told similar or longer times. Hostess mentioned to us that it was crowded inside because it was so hot on the patio. After all the others kept arriving, I happened to ask if the patio was closed and she said no, to which I said we were actually fine sitting out there. Then, all the other parties waiting said the same thing, so we all got seated immediately. Hubby had the special which was meatloaf. I had the burrata salad with added grilled chicken. Mine was the perfect size for a light but filling dinner. My husband said his was good too and even recommended it to a lady who asked about it from a nearby table. He even got a free cupcake for his birthday. Service has always been very friendly. Ambiance inside can get rather noisy, but the patio was better even with cars and a plethora of Amazon trucks going through the roundabout. Temp actually wasn't too bad. Fans, shade, and a little breeze helped. Glad I asked about patio!
