Overall a solid lunch -- burgers, fries, and onion rings were good. I saw the double cheeseburger lunch special ($8) while perusing the drink menu. I wonder if the burger patties on the special are different than the patties on the regular menu, based on my wife's burger?? Otherwise, onion rings were good, fries ok. Pepsi products, no Coke. A lunch stop while passing through the area. We were seated immediately & server quickly approached with a pleasant welcome & asking if we'd been before. We hadn't, so she gave a quick run down including her own recos when asked. It's a sports pub type place, & appeared clean & appropriately appointed. There were so many choices but I got the French dip & lightly battered fries. Very good though the au jus was very salty. I brought half the sandwich home. Wife got a wing basket & server helpfully pointed out an identical version on the lunch special menu, which saved us a dollar or two. Good brewed iced tea as well. Great local Cumming restaurant for food and drinks. Discovered this spot when we moved to the area about 4 years ago, and have been frequent visitors ever since. The aesthetic is very cool and colorful inside with a ton of graffiti and artwork. Always really great *friendly* service! They recently changed their menu and added quite a few dishes which I was excited to see. My favorite app is their Trash Talk Nachos which are these mini little beef tacos covered in queso, sour cream, diced tomato, lettuce, and jalapeños. Their salads are also incredible and come in a very large bowl loaded with toppings - portions are big here! My husband usually goes with the wings or a burger, and he loves all of their sauce options (he's a sauce guy for sure). Food: the Philly was good and flavorful On a soft roll. The boneless wings were a hit. Boneless wings can be overcooked and dry easy since it's white meat but these were not that. They were juicy. Well seasoned and pretty good size. Definitely recommend. The taco salad was good as well. In a fresh fried tortilla, not a premade one you'd get from old El Paso package. Pay: you can scan the receipt to pay if you don't want to wait for the staff to come and collect the card. Very convenient. The only low side were the fries. I got the Bacon jam burger and the meat was just completely tasteless. Jam was alright. Atmosphere was way too loud and annoying. Love this place. My husband gets the Bacon Bacon Bison Burger. He says it's as good as those he's had in Montana. I get the Cobb County Salad. The grilled chicken on this salad is AMAZING. It's so tender and tasty. Then there's all the ham, turkey, cheese and bacon on it. The staff are welcoming, quick and attentive. Stopped in to have lunch with wife to try this restaurant out. Had a very pleasant lunch at this sports bar and grill. I can see it is set up properly for many days of sports action. My wife had the COBB Salad which was very generous with the portion provided. They should advertise a small size. My wife took half of the salad home for later. All ingredients looked very fresh and presentation was impeccable just like the picture on the menu. I had the Philly Cheesesteak with Fries, again another wonderful meal and very filling. Fries had no Salt as I had asked for which made the meal better. Only downside is they do not have a Pepsi Sugar free selection. We LOVED this place so much. We used to come all the time. They had incredible veggie burgers and multiple veggie options the staff even checked with the chefs every time. We told everyone that was vegetarian to go as they were so amazing. Unfortunately they have changed the menu and they no longer have veggie burgers. They have one veggie wrap option. But the wings, holy cow - the smoked wings with their hot sauce and garlic? Phenomenal. I have no idea how I've lived in Cumming for 5+ years now and never heard of this place until recently. Our server Ryan was incredibly personable, knowledgeable about the menu, and helpful. My husband and I decided to give Friends Cumming Grill a try for lunch. Glad we did! The restaurant is located in the shopping complex with Belks, Sprouts, and Texas Roadhouse. It's beside the Texas Roadhouse (where Austin's Steakhouse was). Hey, don't worry - the space has been remodeled and I could not detect the Smokey environment that was once Austin's. :). Friends has a fun sports bar decor - the brick has been painted gray (with wood accents), spray painting on the walls, fun bumper stickers and signs, a giant peace sign and a Disco Ball at the bar....Who doesn't love a Disco Ball!!! Come on! ;) We were happily greeted by Morgan, and she was our server as well. Morgan is very sweet, attentive, and friendly! She told us all about the other Friends locations - I had no idea they had several other restaurants - Dawsonville, etc. cool! Morgan has a very nice vibe and is very hard working. :) We placed our order - hubby tried the Hawaiian flatbread and I had the grilled chicken wrap. My husband liked his. I have no idea why I ordered a wrap, I never get wraps - I think i was overwhelmed by the menu (salads, salmon, wings, burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, appetizers, etc). The wrap was good, I'm just not a wrap lover. I would have preferred a grilled chicken sandwich but I only saw it as a "wrap" option. So, I will definitely try something different next time. Wife was shopping at Belks, so we agreed to meet at Friends for lunch. Never been there before and were pleasantly surprised. It's a Pepsi shop - which loses them points in my view but . . . I had the Monte Cristo sandwich and it was excellent. Too often Monte Cristo's are mostly bread and breading and they drip grease when you pick them up. This one was perfect. This is Cumming but i never felt like i didnt belong, until I came here one day. The bartender and the patrons....eeeee! Ive never met a stranger but all of them were to me last yr.
