After being turned away form Apple two different times I was desperate to have my screen repaired. I called this place right before closing and they were kind enough to stay open for me until I arrived. They were super transparent about what you will be getting. They don't lie and say it's an Apple screen. They repaired my phone in about 20 mins. The price point was higher than what was quoted online or over the phone. It was also higher than other repairs shops near by. I was referred here by my dad and just went with my gut on it... hoping my phone would come back in one piece!! Screen looks great and so far works fine. All I can tell is slight difference in the way the font looks. Other than that... no complaints. I am very hard to please so that says a lot. The pros: genuine technician who will be honest about what you're buying and what you'll be getting. They seem to want to go the extra mile to earn business and that's respectful now a days. Entire process took 20 mins. They offer after market and replacement screens which are two different prices depending on what phone you have. I have a 7 plus ... The cons: the price point. $30-40 more than what other places quoted. They close at 7 which isn't ideal for all of us working the long hours. But they did offer to let me drop it off and pick it up if need be. I would recommend this shop to anyone who gets the Apple store run around. read more

This is my third time coming here and always satisfied with the customer service and results! This is my second time having being helped by Johnny and I always appreciate his service. First time was fixing a cracked screen, depending on what they're doing, the time to get your device fixed can vary but there's a walkable food area or you can wait in the shop and watch whatever they're putting on their TV. Second time coming around sometime last year, my iphone 5s completely shut down but after Johnny trying to fix it for maybe an hour, it turned out the motherboard was shot (it was pretty old anyway but needed to see if it could be fixed) so I ended up getting a new phone. Third time, my iphone 6s battery life became dependent on an extra battery charger and I got tired of carrying the accessories for it. My phone is fine but the battery would never last, called in to see how much it would cost and it was $40 with a 30 minute wait. This review is based on the quality of the product, not the quality of the customer support which was great. Had my Iphone X screen replaced here, I asked Johnny for the highest quality one, after it was installed I noticed the glass was not flush and when light reflected off the screen you could see that it was extremely distorted and that the surface of the replaced screen was not even. When comparing with my wifes Iphone X you can tell the difference significantly. Aside from that the haptic feedback or hard press on the iphone no longer worked. I had Johnny replace the screen a second time for free but had the same issues. The haptic feedback works a little better, probably 1 out of 5 presses but is extremely annoying and doesn't register the pressure unlike the normal iphone X screen. Customer service is good but the quality of their parts doesn't seem to be great. Both of the screens installed seem to be poor quality and have issues, as a result I am going to try to just sell my phone and get a new one. My suggestion to CellSpot is to do some more due diligence with your OEM vendors and find some new ones, at least for the Iphone X screens read more

I brought my broken cell phone here a week ago. it had water damage from when I was on a family vacation, and when I needed a working phone immediately, I bought a replacement refurb phone online with overnight shipping. But after letting my old phone dry out it still turned on, yet the screen would no longer function. always thought it sitting there on my dresser was a waste and wanted to see if I could get it functioning. after reading good reviews of this place I took it here seeing if they could fix it for a reasonable price, then I could at least decide whether to keep or sell it. Took it in on Memorial Day and they were closing early but made sure to take my information and write up my order. they said they'd call the next day with their findings, and I heard from them. they said they had a machine to clean out the water damage and would cost $20 but likely the screen would need complete replacement, which wasn't in stock so they'd have to order online. I asked how much and they said $150. about double what I wanted to pay... so said just run it through the cleaning machine and we'll go from there (it takes about 2-3 days to perform a cleaning). Next they called me and said the water damage was fixed but screen definitely needed replacement, so I said no thanks it was out of my price range so I'd come pick it up. Problem is, the genuine replacement screen is available online for under $80 so not quite sure why the labor to swap the screen out costs as much as the part, when it probably only takes about 20-30 minutes. decided to go ahead and order it online and follow video / forum tutorials to fix it myself. however, they were up front and honest with me, and back up their work with a 6 month warranty included and a "satisfaction guarantee". and said they wouldn't charge me the $20 if I paid the $150, so I guess that's a slight discount. also there are 3 locations for convenience...although not the fastest I've ever dealt with and their prices a bit higher than some. read more

So i came in yesterday to get my cracked screen on my 5S fixed and they did a fabulous job. However, later in the day, I noticed my touch screen would randomly stop working. I'd have to type slow, or press on letters repeatedly to get it to work. With this problem came many typos and with many typos came embarrassment. And frustration. Also, the fingerprint ID stopped working as well. This made it hard to discreetly unlock my phone at work, and text when I wasn't supposed to. Cool. So I brought it back today to tell them my first world problems. The man at the front (Sayeed? I'm sure I'm spelling it wrong) informed me that when they replace the screens, "sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't." I mean, which I totally get! I work in the medical field so yes, medications, surgery, treatment... sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Okay. He said they would replace the screen and it would be done in 40 minutes. So I leave the facility. Get some grocery shopping done. Go back in an hour. Oh, I still have to wait 20 more minutes. Ok. Cool. I get my phone back and the screen is working perfectly fine. It. is. fabulous. With plastic cover. Brand new. Sparkling. So bright. I wish i had brought sunglasses. HOWEVER. My fingerprint ID no longer works. The man at the front went ON AND ON about the fingerprint thing having a serial number, and how the screen replacement should not have affected it. So what the actual F? Messaged the business last week regarding my husband's old iPhone 6s Plus not turning on, said to bring it in for a free diagnosis. Instructed to go back in 20 minutes, so waited across the street at Starbucks. Within the time frame, they called my husband and told him what was wrong with the phone and told him the price for a new battery ($45), and if he wanted to get the phone fixed. The dude was not exactly the friendliest guy, but just super chill. I've never had to post an updated review before. The people are great and nice which is the exact opposite of their job performance. I had to come back three times and get the same phone screen fixed due to their lack of detail. What started out as a small dot on my screen, in a month, turned into a giant line. Would recommend if you need a screen to last only a month or so. If you'd like a longer lasting screen, I would suggest going anywhere else. Terrible customer service. The screen on my samsumg S7 edge broke. Saturday 7/8: I took the phone in for repair. They said they did not have the part and to return on Monday. Monday 7/10: I gave them my phone. They said they would replace the screen with original Samsung parts. I paid them $371. The home button on the new screen would get stuck and the microphone did not work. Wednesday 7/12: They told me the screen then put on was aftermarket and that they would get a new part from their vendor. In the meantime, they put a used & scratched screen on my phone. Saturday 7/15: They put on a new screen. The screen was again aftermarket and the button would get stuck. They said they would go to their vendor again on Monday to get another screen. Tuesday 7/18: They called me and told me that their vendor did not have any other screens. They told me they paid $270 for the aftermarket screen. They offered me an absurd $40 for my troubles. I told them that I paid them $371 to fix my phone and they did not. They used screen they gave me has scratches. They needed to give me much more than $40. THEY SHOULD NOT MAKE A PROFIT FOR NOT FIXING MY PHONE!!! The deal was very simple. I paid them $371 to replace my cracked screen with a new one. I guess I should have known that with the cheap price comes a cheap repair. You should probably inform anyone walking in to your store that you don't USE OEM glass. The glass that was installed on my Iphone 8 was after market. The case I bought doesn't fit snug anymore due to the lip on the glass, and I have to edit each picture (ramp up the brightness) to use for my wallpaper. You will pay more at Apple but, If you want OEM glass go to the Apple Store! read more

In my 12 years of owning smartphones, I have never cracked a screen. However, that came to an end over this last weekend when I dropped my phone on cement. There were huge cracks in the top corner and one big one going through the center of the screen. I contacted Cell Spot at my friend's recommendation and they were very knowledgeable and friendly. I dropped off my phone today and they were able to replace the screen in less than 3 hours. I was so happy that they had my replacement screen in stock and that they were able to complete the work very quickly despite having other customers dropping off items at the same time. I was also very pleased to see that they had appropriate social distancing and health measures in place such as mask wearing. With all these positive reviews, why couldn't they be true. Maybe the review that stated the customer received a discount t for a 5 star review might help explain it. I purchased a iPad Pro screen for $200. They said it would be ready in an hour. I came back in an hour and was told 15 more minutes. 15 minutes late was told the same thing. I didn't care much, just as long as it was done because I was leaving for London that weekend. I go to pick it up and was told that the screen was defective. The home button wasn't working and that they wouldn't be able to get another screen that day. The solution was to take the defective screen for now and when i returned to come back and they would change it out to the OEM equivalent screen that I was supposed to have received. The home button wasn't the only thing defective. The screen was dim, there were 2 or 3 non responsive deadspots, the corner would turn that mulitcolor pattern when pressed, and the screen itself moved in its casting. It would Actually pop in and out of the bezel a bit and was not secured in place. I get back from London and bring my iPad in for the 2nd screen. It's a Friday around 1:00 but was told they don't have a screen there right now and that I would have to leave it until Monday. I uses up my iPad every day. The service offered is a same day screen replacement, most time within an hour. What I paid for was a same day replacement. So I take it with me and said I'd bring it back Monday to have it changed. Well my schedule didn't permit me getting there Monday. Wither later on that week or the next, I call ahead. I want to make sure my screen is there so that I can have this defective screen off of my device and get the service that I have already paid for in full. Durning that phone call, I was told that I have to leave the iPad there for 2 days. That now they have to take this crap screen off and sent it to the manufacturer before getting a new one for my device..... what???? The issues between you and your supplier are your issues, not mine. Give me the service I paid for. You can get you money back from your supplier on your own time Of course I didn't bring it in, I need my device for work and I use it everyday. I feel that they were trying to discourage me from coming in to have my iPad fixed properly. They already had my money, why do more work? All the while, this defective screen is getting worse. Dead spots getting bigger and occurring more frequently and the glass unseating itself more as well. The glass popped up so much that it was now partially above the bezel on one side. I tried to slowly press it back down under the lip and the glass cracked. Now I'm back to square one -$200, these lovely, smug, unapologetic, and unaccommodating "professionals" told me that they would fix it if I bought another piece!! And kept a straight face while they so. On three separate occasions I attempted to get them to correct the problem that they installed. They shifted their responsibility to someone else and made their suppliers problems my problem. They tried to say something about warranty but how do you put a warranty on a defective piece. You sold me something other than what I had paid for. I want the OEM equivalent glass that I had already paid for in full. You did a poor Job installing it and now after time your defective malfunctioning glass that you sold me is cracked so you won't give me the correct piece that I paid for already? I guess we'll just have to see with the Better Business Bureau have to say about this after I file a claim on you read more
