Great customer service and goes the extra mile to fix everything. I cracked my iPhone 6+ screen, they replaced it for $65. A week later, I cracked it again. They charged me $60 and included a tempered glass screen protector. Shortly thereafter, I noticed my camera stopped working. It had been working when I brought it there the second time (I think). When I brought it in, he stated that they noticed that too, when replacing the screen the second time, but that I had no recent photos in my Albums so they assumed it had not worked for awhile (I delete pics quickly after doing what I need to do with them). They kept my phone for 1 1/2 days trying to fix the camera. They got the front one working :-) He wouldn't charge me for the extra time for the camera because he couldn't get it all working correctly. Very fair and I'm going to try again for the camera repair. read more

Came here for an iPhone 6s battery replacement. The employee was very nice and had my phone done in 10 minutes. However, I noticed later that day under the iPhone battery health app that the battery health was only 86%. My phone proceeded to die very quickly after charging and crashed twice over the course of the day due to "low performance capacity," according to my phone. I called CellSpot and the employee told me that he forgot to tell me to "calibrate" the battery by letting it fall below 10% and then charging till 100%. I did that twice and the health remained at 86% according to my iPhone's diagnostics. I went back and he promptly changed my battery, admitting that the first battery he gave me was defective. While I have no way to know whether this was on purpose or not, the customer service was good and the warranty was honored. read more

I've never written a review on yelp before but here's my go at it. I walked into the the store with a broken screen iPad mini, talked to two guys and got talked into fixing my iPhone 4S for a discounted price. (I'm waiting on my 5S but i figured I could sell it or give it to a friend, so that's fine) Let's start with my iPhone 4s. At first glance I was really content with the job they did but when I was playing around with it at night on my bed I could see some light bleeding out from the side. I took it back and it was promptly fixed. For the most part, the parts feel good and my phone looks even better. However, the metal meshing on the ear-speaker part moves around when I clean it. (I usually grab a tooth pick and dig around for lint. There was no lint but the I noticed the movement, no biggie.) I give this part of my review a 4 or 5 for how fast it was done and the price. Now off to my iPad mini review. At first glance it looked pretty good and I was pretty content. I did notice some scratches on the side but I may just have not noticed them before so I won't dock any points for this matter. However there were a few points I had a problem with: Some glue had bled onto the screen on the top-left and the home button was noticeably protruding. Considering how expensive this repair was, I'd have to give it a 2. In conclusion, if you have a broken iPhone come here but if you have a broken iPad mini go to an Apple Store and pay the extra 40$ to trade your iPad mini in for a factory refurbished one. Edit: So there were a few more things wrong with my iPad which made me less happy(debris under the screen, smart cover stopped working), I was going to call them the next day but they called me back first after reading this review, plus points here. I talked with the owner, he told me to bring the iPad back in so they can take another look at it, took it in the next Monday (I didn't want to waste my precious Friday) talked to the owner again I was told he'd call me when he was done fixing it... I didn't get a call so I decided to call him the next day, the owner and I got in somewhat of a quarrel over the phone which I'm not going to go into detail about, let me just say I was not too happy. We cooled down a little bit later, I picked up my iPad got a refund, and left the shop. Although I wasn't happy with the results, at the very least it was really nice of them to reach out to me to try to fix my problem. Edit2: My screen came unglued in one of the corners last night. I know these guys can't do anything because when I was talking on the phone with them a few days back, I told them to put my old screen back on and give me a full refund but they told me "attempting to fix your ipad will break it"(aka we broke your ipad in the process of fixing it) so yeah, terrible experience. -------------- In conclusion (part 2) I basically paid them 100$ for a decent fix job on the iPhone(I only did this because they promised to "give me a good price". I had to later pay for full price when they "refunded" me my money minus tax) and for them to break my ipad and give me headaches. =========================================================== Final Edit: Got a call from the boss again today (8 months after the fact), he started yelling at me over the phone to change my rating from a 1 to a 3. (not the best way to talk to someone who you want to change a yelp review...) Any way, I told him to calm down and talk to me like I'm a customer. I gave him like a 2 minute lecture on how to talk to costumers. He calmed down enough and talked to me in a normal calm tone. He also offered me money and free services which I politely declined. In conclusion (part 3?) : This is behind me now, I don't care much anymore and I GUESS you were sincerely sorry enough, here is the three stars you've been asking for. PS: Don't yell at your customers over the phone no matter how angry you may be(you were much more pleasant when you calmed down) and when you mess up, try offering more than just a partial refund. When someone brings you something to get fixed, and you break it even more I think they deserve more than just a refund (Maybe this is just me, I may be crazy, I don't know.). Okay I feel terrible for leaving this review because the guys are so nice and clearly since all the other reviews are so great maybe this is an isolated event. I took my phone in here because it was close, 80$ to fix my cracked iPhone screen. Ok whatever. He said it would take a couple hours which was fine because a girl friend had lent me her phone for the day so it wouldn't be a hassle not having one. I go back a couple hours later. Still not ready. Wait another couple hours and hooray my phone is fixed! I return my gfs phone and go about my day. Two hours later my screen starts tripping out. They are closed at this point but whatever I'll take it back tmrw. I take the phone back the next day at this point the screen is just some kind of seizure inducing light show. The guy is super nice and obviously offers to fix it no charge it's just going to take... Four hours. Great I no longer have my loaner phone but I guess I can navigate my day without a phone. I go back hours later and again my phone is "fixed". Once again the screen works perfect for a couple hours but by the next day was completely black. I couldn't answer calls/text whatever absolutely nothing. Again I go back the next day. Apparently they received a bad batch of screens they wouldn't have new ones for a WEEK. Wtf is this the Stone Age what am I supposed to do without a phone for a week. Anyways week later I drive over here for what has to be the millionth time. They fix my screen AGAIN. It actually works this time but oh wait my volume doesn't work anymore. I was never offered a refund or a discount on the massive amount of time I spent with a useless phone or driving back and forth to this place. I gave up on the volume because I had already driven to this place over ten times at this point. I wish I would have just left the screen cracked it might have made it a little hard to read but at least I could listen to pandora or watch videos on my phone with sound. With the phone being a crucial part of our everyday lives, I had to have my phone fixed before it gets worst. With the help of Yelp, I found CellSpot Cell Phone Repair in Tustin. So, my phone has been acting up lately and it has become part of my life. It has gone with me from moving around to traveling to Austrailia. So, I found a place on Yelp, but it was the early morning on Monday. It was 7am and I messaged the owner of CellSpot Cell Phone Repair. Within 30 min, the owner, Ali, messaged back giving me quote for the repair the micro-USB port. Heck, if someone responds to me like that before the store even opens, you got my attention. So, I decided to head on over at 8:30 when it opens. Located at the southwest corner of Edinger and Parkway Loop in the Tustin Business Center, you will find CellSpot Cell Phone Repair. At first, you wouldn't think there would be a retail shop in here. Most of the buildings are office and industrial uses. As I walked in, it was a little shop. Nothing like those big services, but it gives a little personal touch with the customer and the employees. I was greeted by Erica and informed her about my situation. My Samsung micro-USB charger only charges with certain cords and did not charge with my Mophie. I needed my port changed out. She told me it would be done in about an hour. Ali quoted me $65. So, I filled out the paperwork and she went straight to work on it. You have the option of waiting or leaving. I decided to go and do some errands. Within 55 minutes, Erica gave me a call and I was super surprised. I saw YouTube videos on the process and there was no way I was going to do it in an hour and keep the phone intact. I came back. Erica was processing my paperwork. While I was waiting, I forgot that CellSpot had their infamous "GRAVEYARD" case. Its where all the phones come to die. Phones that have cracked glass or just are considered irreparable. Erica brought up my phone in working order. The Mophie was charging my phone and my portable car charger was doing its job. Even after my phone was serviced, I got e-mail confirmations about my phone and completion. Now, that is beyond the expected service. However, I didn't see any FREE snacks when I was in there. I hope there will be some next time **wink** Yeah, this is a descriptive review, but my phone gets to live another day. I know most people would get another phone right away, but some of us have memories with our phones. Its not because of the photos that's stored in our memory card, but the dings and cracks that we got it from. Making us more clumsy by doing it over again. Brought my phone here to have a cracked screen replaced. When I arrived, nobody was attending the counter, but there was a note that said he would be back in 15 minutes. I waited. Forty minutes later, the guy working here finally shows up so I turn over my phone for repairs. When I go to pickup my phone, which is a black phone, the guy had put a blue faceplate on it. I asked him WTF and he said he didn't notice when doing it, then said they don't have black and I just have to use the blue front with my black back. So I now have a two toned phone, which is never at all what I wanted. Also, the touchscreen does not work like it did before handing it over to them. Overall, this turned out to be a pretty terrible experience. Cannot recommend. Try someone else unless you are desperate. read more

Unreliable pricing tactics that varied 3 times within 1 week and 2 of the times were on the same day! Highly suspicious. 1st I went in they told me a broken LCD screen for an S5 was $200 to replace, and while I was there another customer on the phone supposedly "took" the last LCD screen. They recommended that I return the following week since they anticipated a lower price after the New Year. Well, a week later, somehow the price magically increased to $240 - a price they told me boyfriend. Then A COUPLE HOURS LATER when I called to verify, a lady on the phone told me it was $250! I asked her how the price could change so fast, she replied she didn't know and was simply reading what's on the computer. It seems that they simply make up the prices as they go along! Needless to say I chose not to obtain service there despite all the suspiciously high Yelp ratings. read more

Hands down the best service. I shattered my phone earlier this morning getting to work. I called around many places and decided to book an appointment. I was unable to leave my office and i called CellSpot at 11:15am. They sent someone to my office 11:50am to have it picked up. The gentleman, Saeed, was very friendly and ensured me it would get fixed ASAP before 1pm. The phone was delivered back to my office by 12:30!!! Talk about good fast service! Their prices are cheap, free delivery for any service $100+ and so fast! Other places were quoting me $150+ but CellSpot Cell Phone Repair charged me $120 and threw in a screen case (some discount promo they have going on)! My phone slipped out of my hands this weekend and landed face-first onto some gravel -- obviously shattering the entire screen. I couldn't use the touch screen at all rendering my LGG3 useless, I took it to CellSpot and they were able to fix the phone in a matter of hours. When I got it back -- I had a hard time getting into the phone again. The screen looked great! but the touch screen components still were glitchy -- the phone apps would come and go and lots of buzzing. It seemed like my phone knew someone was trying to get into it but the digitalizer or other part was malfunctioning. Luckily CellSpot GIVES YOU 6 MONTHS WARRANTY from the initial repair. I brought it back -- had the inside replaced and now it works fine. It still glitches a little, but you know -- I dropped it. Now I just have to inconveniently restart and it's fine. A month after getting my screen fixed, it popped off without my dropping it. I asked if that was covered in the 6 month guarantee and they told me no. I wound up stopping by the Apple Store and it turns out going to a 3rd party to fix the screen nullified the iPhone warranty and I had to buy a refurbished phone. While I was at the Apple Store I also found out they would have done the same original repair for cheaper anyway. The only reason I gave the original review was because of the discount they gave me on the service to give it. Next time I will deal with the long wait at Apple. read more

I'm rating this vendor a 4/5 because the first screen that was installed had a dead pixel. They replaced the screen but I'm experiencing brightness discrepancies. I was referred to CellSpot by a friend. I was a little hesitant at first, but I didn't want to continue to pay Verizon $100 for limited service; So I went to check it out. Ali @ cell spot was able to port my service from Verizon to page plus and the best part is that I am able to keep using my iPhone!. I will only pay $55/mo with unlimited everything- and the service is like Verizon. They can fix phones, port numbers, and repair computers. First, yes there is a sign in this store that says, "review us on Yelp and get a discount on your next visit". Of course, they are not saying "give us a great review", just give us a review. I am not writing this review to get any future discount. Today, I brought in my laptop that wouldn't take a charge and was DOA. The person at CellSpot took the computer told me they would call me in less than 90 minutes with an estimate. Received a call in an hour telling me that the problem was only a loose battery and that they cleaned the contacts and all is working fine. "Please come and pick up your laptop. NO CHARGE". This simply doesn't happen at most places. They wouldn't take any money. No attempt to upsell, upgrade or sell anything. I will no doubt come back to this place if I ever have any computer/cell phone issues. read more

A couple of weeks ago I was on vacation in Mexico with family and friends, when one of my friends inadvertently stepped on my iPhone 5 (face up) and cracked the screen pretty badly. Though it was pretty funny that you could absolutely tell it was a foot that did the damage and I could still use it, I was bummed because now I was faced with a problem I didn't expect or want. Up until now, most of the repaired phones I have seen were not great, so that also left me with the other possibility of upgrading (ie, BUYING a new iPhone) and I really didn't want to do that either. I went into Best Buy to see if they would take the now-damaged phone on trade (no luck, they won't take them with a cracked screen) and to price an iPhone 6. The thing is, there was NOTHING wrong with my 5 so I just didn't feel the need to replace it as I would rather wait for the 7. By luck, one of the salespeople was sympathetic to my dilemma and mentioned that a friend of hers just had the screen of her iPhone 5 replaced by CellSpot and swore you couldn't tell the difference between it and a new one. I took this as a sign. I Yelped CellSpot and saw a TON of excellent reviews. Well following that I stopped by, dropped off the phone and about 90 minutes later my phone was back in action, good as new! I almost think the new glass is even smoother than the old. I brought in an iPad mini once that they couldn't repair in the time frame stated and Ali, the owner replaced it with a brand new out of the box-Non refurbished one. We use yelp with great regularity and one of the best features is being able to request quotes from multiple vendors at one time. We were looking for a replacement iPad screen for an iPad pro. After a couple of emails between us and CellSpot, confirmation of quality, durability and likeness to the original iPad screen. We were assured of all three. However, a week after bringing the iPad home the screen cracked in one spot on the bottom and continue to crack from there as pieces fell off of the screen we could see how thin the replacement glass was and what poor quality it was. We've had screens replaced on other iPads by other vendors with much success and very positive things to say about each of those experiences. I emailed CellSpot about the issue and was told to bring it in right away and they would take care of it. Upon arriving at the shop we were told they would not replace it and that no replacement screens would ever be of the same quality as the original screens. If we wanted them to replace it again we would have to pay for it. The customer service is exceptionally poor the quality even worse. We would not recommend using this vendor. read more

The aluminum casing on my iPhone 6 was bent on the side with the volume controls causing the top of the phone to be propped open. I came in on Sunday around 5 and Eliseo quickly diagnosed the issue and said it would be pretty easy to fix. He took my phone to the back and fixed the issue in 10 minutes and promptly brought it back out. They have great service and I'm confident they definitely know what they are doing and would come back for other cell phone issues. read more

My iPhone screen was completely smashed and I could only see the top part of the screen with the service bar/time/battery life. I got there and they said it would be about an hour.. Not bad! I ended up waiting almost two hours, but I was very pleased with their honesty.
