We had lunch outside because we had our dogs with us. A little too noisy with traffic so close by and a little scary without any barriers at busy 4 corner intersection. Started with the French onion soup which had a nice savory beefy broth. Plenty of cheese and tasty onions. Recommend this one! I choose the lunch special of Barratta salad with roasted asparagus and red beets over a bed of arugula. Drizzled with a balsamic reduction. Absolutely delicious! Also sampled some fried chicken wings with the sweet Thai chili sauce which was very tasty. Everything was great until the sudden rain downpour. Although we were under an umbrella we were still rained on during lunch. Gotta love Mother Nature.

A Saturday treasure hunting trip ending with lunch at the Celtic Corner in Hawthorne, NJ. We ordered a Bowl of Chili and Old Bay Butter Chicken Wings for our appetizers. The chili had great flavor with a medium spice, tomatoes, red beans, plenty of meat with chopped redonions and chees on top. The wings were crispy flavorful with a mild heat from the Old Bay. The crispy chicken sandwich with added bacon was enjoyable and the secret sauce was had great flavor - but that's a secret! The black bean burger was well balanced with a crisp crust to the burger, avocado, pickled red onion green and a chipotle aioli which gave it some heat. Good for small or large groups or families. The staff was excellent and welcoming. We would definitely go back.

PROS: Very nice Irish pub! the atmosphere is good, the place is clean, food is good, menu is plentiful, prices are reasonable. Waitress was a delight and the service was fast CONS: There is no parking lot and you have to rely on scarce street parking. OVERALL: Great place to come too, you will not be let down. Just be sure to find a spot near the place

3/15/24 We were actually on our way up to Shannon Rose when I thought I should check out other Irish Pubs/Restaurants and landed on Celtic Corner. Google maps show the large location, so we knew it wouldn't be a dive bar. I'm so glad we came and got to taste the food here. French Onion Soup was delicious! It's so good and flavorful. When I got my bowl, I thought they forgot the cheese, which wouldn't be an issue for me because I can't have cheese. I usually peel it off and give it to hubby, lol. He was sad there wasn't much cheese. But as I dug down, I saw more cheese, it seemed the bread flipped over, and all the cheese was underneath. LOL. Like they say, don't judge a book by its cover ;) We got the 6 piece Wings with the Hot Garlic Honey sauce. Tasty wings, just need more hot lol. It's so sticky! We both had to wash our hands after hehehe Guinness Beef Stew was so good! I wish I could eat beef, I would devour this! I took a piece of the carrots, and it was amazing! Bangers and Mash was ok, nothing like the Beef Stew. Sadly, I took a bite of the Beef Stew 1st, so the Bangers and Mash was kind of bland compared. Victoria was an awesome waitress. Very attentive and on point!

Missed my train by minutes so pulled up to the bar at Celtic Corner. It's on the main strip in Hawthorne and looks festive from the outside. I ordered a happy hour margarita and had a lovely time chatting with the friendly bartender. So nice I ordered a second. Then had to run because the next train was close. Didn't try the food, but I'd go back.

Came here for a work lunch with a colleague. It was just the bartender working so no one was by the entrance. We just figured we'd sit down. There was 2 other booths taken & a large holiday party on the side room. We both ordered winter ales and rumchata peppermint fire ball shots - delicious. For food, she got a tuna melt with truffle fries & I got the steak & arugula with a side salad. Steak was cooked medium but very chewy. Flavor was good though - the horseradish spread on it is great!

I imagine all these great reviews are from folks that enjoy the cocktail menu and the night life…read more For me, 2 stars is being generous. We ask if they have outdoor seating and they tell us they do, then they proceed to seat us in an area with windows and ceiling! And right next to a large and very loud Bridal shower (that would have been nice to know, we would have asked to be seated as far away as humanly possible.) Then we sit for 30 solid minutes without a peep from ANYONE. Then suddenly a confused looking young lady steps up and informs us "no one told her we were here." Guess that's OUR problem? Placed a drink order and another 20 minutes passes when I am informed it is no longer on tap. Drinks finally arrive, the "Craftsman IPA" is flat and "off" tasting. White wine was warm as if it was sitting in the sun. Food was not much better sadly. The Calamari was flavorless and tough - apparently someone forgot the Asian drizzle that was supposed to go on it. It was also that "fake" calamari where every piece is exactly the same size and shape. The "stuffed" meatballs were stuffed - with air! Literally nothing but a hole in the middle. The artichoke and crab dip had a strong fishy taste, it was so bad I feared it was tainted. To their credit they took it off the bill, eventually. And from the moment our drinks arrived earlier,, our server never once checked back on us for another drink, do we need anything, how is everything etc. Hey Craftsman - do better! Maybe some training in the kitchen and out on the floor is in order.

10/5 Stars!! We…read morerecently had my Mom's 60th birthday party at the Railyard Tavern. I worked with Bob in coordinating everything. He was very accommodating and quick to reply to email. He was a big help in answering any question I had. Our party was roughly 25 people and we reserved the back room for the party. The back room was big enough for all of us to fit comfortably without it feeling cramped. We ordered the apps ahead of time and were told that they would be ready at 5:30. Sure enough, at 5:30 all of the apps came out and they were a big hit. Everything was fantastic. We got some large pizzas, nachos, mozzarella sticks, potstickers, and calamari. There was practically nothing left. The entree's were great and came without delay. I didn't hear a single complaint from any of the guests. I'd be remiss if I didn't talk about our waiter for the night, Alan. I don't think I've ever seen someone be so on top of things before. He handled the whole room essentially by himself and somehow it never seemed like there was a single hiccup the whole night. He was beyond excellent. He was such a good communicator and kept me in the loop with timelines and was overall very organized. He played a significant role in the night going as well as it did. My whole family, and most importantly my mom, had such a wonderful night. And I have Bob, Alan, and the rest of the staff to thank for that.
