10/5 Stars!! We recently had my Mom's 60th birthday party at the Railyard Tavern. I worked with Bob in coordinating everything. He was very accommodating and quick to reply to email. He was a big help in answering any question I had. Our party was roughly 25 people and we reserved the back room for the party. The back room was big enough for all of us to fit comfortably without it feeling cramped. We ordered the apps ahead of time and were told that they would be ready at 5:30. Sure enough, at 5:30 all of the apps came out and they were a big hit. Everything was fantastic. We got some large pizzas, nachos, mozzarella sticks, potstickers, and calamari. There was practically nothing left. The entree's were great and came without delay. I didn't hear a single complaint from any of the guests. I'd be remiss if I didn't talk about our waiter for the night, Alan. I don't think I've ever seen someone be so on top of things before. He handled the whole room essentially by himself and somehow it never seemed like there was a single hiccup the whole night. He was beyond excellent. He was such a good communicator and kept me in the loop with timelines and was overall very organized. He played a significant role in the night going as well as it did. My whole family, and most importantly my mom, had such a wonderful night. And I have Bob, Alan, and the rest of the staff to thank for that. read more

We have been going to the Rail Yard Tavern for the last 4 years. I only have one complaint. It can be loud. But it is also a bar so that is a bit understandable. The food never disappoints. They serve pizza's that my wife and I will usually split as an appetizer. They do a 10" and a 16" pizza. We always split a 10" and they are always good. They have a traditional type of bar menu. Sandwiches, burgers, steaks, pasta etc. They also have a very good bar with many draft beer choices. We have been making our way around the menu but my go to is the rail yard melt on rye instead of the roll. All the people who work there are great. If you are looking for a place to go that is simple and always good the Rail Yard tavern is worth a try. They also have a gluten free section to there menu. read more

Do you like sports games? Well, if you do, you're in luck . This place has many TVs with sports games on them. If you want to play a certain sports game on TV just ask a waiter and they will play it for you. This place has great food and the kids menu is great. They provide great coloring stuff for children. Family friendly sports bag with great food and service! This restaurant reminds me of Cheers. They are friendly and remember their repeat customers. Excellent GF menu that is truly GF. The WINGS are my personal favorite. The kids meals are reasonably priced and the kids love the options/food. The restaurant was recently renovated. Great place for large parties of 15-20 people. We went after a game with multiple families and they were very accommodating- everyone's order was correct. We love Railyard Tavern. If you're looking for a new place to try that is not a chain give it a go! It's a local small business that is very accommodating to the community and its customers. Patrons are also very friendly and they love chatting with the kiddos! Decor needs an update, everything is out of date and looks well used. We went for lunch and there was only one other table that was extremely loud. So I can't imagine how the sound carries when it's full. The waiter was nice at least. The food was lackluster and typical bar food. We came for the gluten free menu and got the spinach dip, nachos, and Cajun Wrap. Spinach dip lacked seasoning but was ok. Nachos were a sad mix between a chili and meat sauce missing in strong flavors. Cajun wrap was actually flavorful. Did someone say football Sunday?? !!! Lol!! If you're looking for a place with plenty of screens, good drinks and food- this is defínately one of them! Came in here for a bite and a drink- was not disappointed - other than the smell of clogged sewer on my way to the bathroom- stinky!!! Food was well made- delicious- clean and quick!! Plenty of sauce on our wings- strong drinks, and generously decorated nachos!!! - with said ingredientes on the side!! No complaints here! Ambience was nice too- games in screens, patrons seem to know one another, warm and inviting. Staff was nice too. Not too loud either- very well rounded I just say!! Enjoyable!! My manager and I decided to get lunch at this spot. I walked in and asked if we could order take out and sit outside and was told we could. We were served by the bartender/server. He took our orders and I ordered the beyond burger with fries and it was about $15. We sat for a while got our food and left. When I ate the burger was good and the toppings were fresh. The fries were just ok, a little salty to eat though. All in all we had a decent experience. read more

FOOD: Everything was delicious. Plain chicken wings comes with different sauces so it's good when you can't decide between sauces for wings. Prosciutto pizza was amazing and quite large for two people. Lots of draft beer options. SERVICE: Ugh, place was empty even on Saturday night. Didn't ask the name of our server but young man in his twenties, he rushed us on everything: food, drinks and check. Within an hour we were there, he approached our table like 6-7 times without us calling him. We still had food on our table and he was advising us to take our food home while we just wanted to chat for a bit. Google advices place is open till 1 am and it was around 8 pm he rushed us. Ordered home delivery.. got the fish and chips.. so good, love the fries too, even though it probably sat for atleast a half hour in a plastic tub, waiting to be delivered... it was still super crunchy .. we also got the eggplant parm sandwich...loved it.. eggplant cut nice and thin, just melts in ur mouth.. eggplant is one of my favorite foods and this place did it justice...second time ordering home delivery from them and both were great.. definitely a go to place read more

This place was awesome! It doesn't look like much from the outside but inside lies a hidden gem. Cute neighborhood bar/restaurant which definitely has its share of locals that frequent it. It boasts 3 different dining areas...bar/dining room, large room in the back that looks like it could be used for private parties & another room that just has tables & chairs for dining. Very cozy yet lively inside. I had the pizza which boasts best in the area & it was truly delicious, fries (very good potato filled fries) & my husband had the Cajun chicken wrap with fries. Really great food! My husband and I picked up take out and the food stayed fresh through our 20 min drive home. We got the Rail Yard Chopped Salad with shrimp and honey mustard dressing and the Caesar salad with Chicken as our meals. Both salads were large, had great ingredients, and were delicious. We also decided to split the lobster Mac and cheese instead of an app and we were not disappointed. Was concerned that for the price there wouldn't be too much lobster but there were a decent amount of lobster chunks and we enjoyed it. The restaurant was busy but it didn't seem like there was a wait to get a table when I went on a Friday around 6 pm which is ideal. We will definitely be going back for dinner. read more

If you're looking for a great place that offers happy hour and good food than this is your spot! Their happy hour is Monday through Friday from 3 PM to 7 PM! I love places that have a long happy hour because realistically most people leave work at 5 and by the time you get to any happy hour it's basically done. Their happy hour has drink and food specials which I'm all about! Some food options are mozzarella sticks, fried zucchini sticks, wings, and jalapeño poppers. I had this place bookmarked for a couple of years now. I must say It took me way too long to come here. Amazing! First off I think they have the best margaritas...creation of Antonio the bartender. It was definitely different than other margaritas I have had. It was the perfect ratio of sweetness and sour. A dance in my palette. I ordered their wings and fries. So good. I haven't had Buffalo wings in awhile and these hit the spot. I love that their fries are almost like Belgian style. That crisp! Definitely returning soon! Super close to work as well. Fun place for a party. We had our staff holiday party here and had a great time. They accommodated all of us (about 20) with no problem, and everyone was served whatever they wanted. I don't know what everyone else ordered so I can't comment on it. I wasn't feeling well and I had to drive home, so that let out the good stuff. I settled on hot tea for my drink. I had the PEI mussels for my dinner since I wanted something lighter and easier to swallow. They were pretty salty but not bad. My taste was off that evening since I was sick so I don't want to give the wrong impression. Everyone was happy with what they ordered and we had fun opening our Secret Santa presents and having a good time. What an amazing service . While the tavern around the corner shouts at you 'kitchen closed, go get your drinks inside yourself' 9:20pm on a weekend, we decided to go to Railyard instead and boy what a difference. Lady gave us menus with a smile, a guy came out and got another chair for us with a smile, food came out fast and was delicious! That's our new place now! Only request, maybe need a few healthier options. Great local place, easy parking, many GF options, full bar, lots of seating... and an adorable waitress that needed some skills. She was very 'attentive' however, gave us no time for any socializing over drinks with our friends. The second we sat down, asked us to order food. We guided her gently to give us a few minutes, first we'd like to order drinks. We ordered our drinks and again, had to ask her to give us some time so we could enjoy our cocktails before ordering food. It got a little uncomfortable to keep asking her to come back. Then, not sure what happened, but they brought all four dinners out sporadically. 1) one pizza 2) one steak dinner 3) 5 minutes later a second dinner and not for about another 20 mins later did we receive the fourth meal. No one really apologized or even thought a thing about it. Oops. I don't want to say if we were in an upscale place maybe the service would be different. I think service should be the same in any restaurant unless maybe they're very busy, shooting for quick turnover or you're at a diner. This was my second time here and actually I wasn't impressed. When you first walk in all you smell is disinfectant. I'd prefer not to have this overwhelming scent. Service was just OK. The waitresses sleeve was falling into our food as she served. Management needs to train employees better. The person (male) who served us our drinks was rude. He just came to the table and bellowed out "beer". I'm not talking about the bartender. He seemed to be nice. The food was ok. Typical for this type of establishment. I think if employees were trained properly and instructed how to deal with the customer on a more personable level, I would consider coming back. read more

Our waiter was friendly, helpful, and provided excellent service. I enjoyed my margherita pizza. Very crispy thin crust; tasty tomato sauce. The best thing I ordered was the carrot cake dessert. Very sweet cream cheese frosting; really delicious. Elouan Pinot Noir from Oregon is a nice red wine by the glass on their red wine menu. I believe it's misspelled Elquan on their menu. Surprisingly full-bodied for a pinot noir, and sweeter than other pinot noirs. It paired well with my pizza. I'm impressed; there must be someone at Rail Yard Tavern that knows how to choose wines. 3.5. The service was excellent, with a very friendly and kind waitress. The BBQ chicken wrap was a solid performer, with a good balance between chicken, lettuce, and BBQ sauce. However, the fries were by far the best part of the lunch. Thick, crispy, fresh hot fries! AMAZING! The chicken soup was also good, as was the chicken spring salad, complimented well by a good balsamic dressing.
