The waitress took a drink order and gave us a basket of freshly fried potato chips which was great with a cold beer of which there was a nice selection. The food itself was a disappointment. My husband had a burger a fries and he was satisfied with the portion size. the burger itself was cooked as requested and flavor was average. We shared a Caesar salad which was soggy...too much dressing. I opted for the fish and chips which was very disappointing. The batter was soggy and not a bit crispy. This is my favorite local Irish go to pub. They have a great happy hour (half price apps!) between 3 and 6 pm and all of the specials are great. Fall specials include mussels and tonight I tried the mussels in garlic cream sauce and they were outstanding. Dipped your hot bread into it... and pair with an Oktoberfest (several options!) and you are on your way..! Vivien is our regular server and she is amazing.... Super accommodating. Tommy Fox's offers a variety of Irish classics including Fish and Chips, Bangers and Mash, etc. Favorites include the Irish Breakfast and Corned Beef and Cabbage. Corned beef and cabbage ($16.95), the most expensive dish on the menu, was simple done good. It did seem a little bit smaller than the other entrees, especially considering the price versus simplicity of the dish. Drinks aren't cheap either, even beers were ~$5. Luckily, there is a Groupon ($30 for $15) available. I enjoyed the rock music played at a conversation-level volume, which seems a rarity in other bar restaurants. However, I imagine it gets loud of weekends. We can't wait to come back and check out all the specials.
