When inquiring about flash tattoo sizes, the responses -- especially from whoever runs the Instagram account -- came off unprofessional and unnecessarily sarcastic. It's frustrating to feel dismissed when you're a loyal customer who has spent money here and made several referrals. Joel and Iran are the ones creating positive experiences. This is the second time that I've been to the tattoo and piercing shop; the first time I went with a friend and also came in for a repiercing due to a hospitalization. I'm hoping this will be the last time that I go to this shop for a repiercing, but I will definitely come back here if I have to. Joslyn was extremely professional and made sure I felt comfortable the entire time during the piercing process by double checking that it didn't hurt. I had to purchase one of their steel titanium jewelry ($15 was the cheapest one) and was not allowed to use my own jewelry that I bought from Laughing Buddha. Which is totally understandable and makes sense as to why they don't use other jewelry outside of their own. I think it also specifies in their rules or contract that you're not allowed to bring in outside jewelry, but I would call to make sure. I also did not like that they didn't have a more comfortable waiting/seating area. Those tiny chairs on wheels are not really plus-sized friendly and I would have appreciated a regular chair instead of those. The online booking experience for an appointment within 3 days was easy to use on their website. I believe there was a $5 security deposit that goes into your overall total at the end of your piercing/tattoo session. In fact, my piercer Joslyn even emailed me to ask questions about my piercing history and whatnot. I really appreciated her attentiveness to detail and for taking the initiative to understand her customer's needs. Overall, I had a pleasant experience with my piercer Joslyn and would highly recommend her for your piercing needs. Thanks again!!

He probably could've given me the same- if not a better deal than Groupon offers (plus, if you guys don't know how poorly Groupon treats their vendors, you should totally look it up). Anyway, he doesn't treat you poorly like some other vendors do when they find out you have a Groupon. My friend and I have both gone to him, and I think he might be my new tattoo guy! So the San Pedro Tattoo shop is on a corner, and you'll need to find street parking, of which there is plenty. When you go in, there's a small lobby. There's an upholstery shop through the right door, and the tattoo shop is through the left. Just go in, and then up some stairs, David's area is the first door on the left. If you've gotten a tattoo before, you know what to expect in terms of procedure. If you haven't (and hopefully you've at least talked to your experienced friends and done some extensive Googling), first he'll discuss the size and placement of your image. After printing it out, the gloves will go on and he'll mark where it'll go. He was super patient with me, when I shifted mine around a little and he had to re-place the image on me. Once we had the right spot, he changed out his gloves (which he will do occasionally if he feels the gloves are through), asked if I was ready, and went at it. As he tattooed me, he kept up a good conversation, talking about work and family, really made me feel at ease. He also made a little room for my husband to hangout. I definitely recommend his work, with our without the Groupon, he is 100% worth it.

Located in DTLB off of Broadway and Linden, I was lucky to find a metered spot on Linden right around the corner. I was warmly greeted by one of the tattoo artists and she allowed me to visit with my friend. I only stayed 30 min and my friend sent me a pic of her tattoo and the artist did amazing work! I believe my friend said she was there from noon til the time she sent me the pic which was around 6pm (of course with breaks).
