Art's name befits him. he is truly an artist who knows his craft and understands that there is usually a story behind the tattoo. We had to say goodbye to our 17 yr old (fur) baby, Sophie a month ago and while she is always in my heart, I needed something visual that I could have close to me always. This will most likely be my first and last tattoo and the "her" part was more important than the tattoo part and Art got it. After he spent time with me at an initial consult looking at photos he did a quick illustration sketch that looked like the beginnings of final art it was so good. after i left, i completely changed my mind and wanted a smaller and simpler design so he asked for more photos. Great communication over the two weeks leading up to our appt including a draft sketch for me to give feedback on and today prior to starting we made some final adjustments. He walked through the whole process bc he knew this was my first time. after, he gave me an idea of what's to come and how to care for it. He also said to let it settle and to come back if there are small touchups. I LOVE my Sophie tattoo. it is exactly what I had envisioned with Art. All this gives me incredible confidence and while Ink Divine isn't the cheapest studio in town, the prices are very fair and you definitely are getting what you pay for in quality, care and more. I would 110% recommend this studio and go see Art. I'm sure he is fantastic at any type of picture but if you want a memory of your loved one, he is a master. The tattoo I got was purposely a more cartoon style line drawing ( bc I wanted a super small tattoo that would not allow for as many details) but his initial, more real life rendition felt like Sophie had come back to life and was gorgeous. I heard about Ink Devine Tattoo Co from several friends in Recovery. I also like to keep my business local. I was born and raised in San Pedro. I dropped in to the shop and spoke with Tony V. I gave him my ideas of what I wanted and returned back to his shop a week later. He showed me what he came up with and it was on and tatting. Soooo, I'll start off by saying I found this place on yelp and it had 5 star reviews. The ink looked good and so I gave them a call. Art answered the phone and told us the shop minimum was $70. That's great because we weren't looking for anything too big. After making the drive to his shop, we found additional things we wanted. When we arrived, Art greeted us and we went over some options. He said what we wanted was way too detailed for the shop minimum and we'd have to pay the hourly rate of $150. That was fine, so in the middle of that (there was 3 of us getting tattoos) we were debating what we should get and where. Art stopped us and said, "I'll make this easier for all over... how about we do $100 for each of your tattoos and we'll be good." Well to us, that was perfect. He drew everything up and we got settled. I went first. Mine came out great. I had an origami crane and the letters MMIV (or 2004 in roman numerals). Next up was Linda. She also got MMIV and matching hearts that was the same as our friend, Grace. So far, so good. Except, when he was finishing Grace's tattoo up, a group of 3 more girls walked in wanting matching tattoos. Art must have gotten distracted because he messed up on Grace's heart pretty bad. The ink was colored outside of the heart shape and it almost has a blurred effect to it. I think the only way to fix it would be to increase the size of both hearts which negated the purposed of getting matching tattoos. And Grace didn't even see the tattoo until hours later, when she unwrapped her cover. Also, I timed each of us for the ink, not the set up. Mine was 21 minutes, Linda was 17 minutes, and Grace was 15 minutes. So, if we had gone with the hourly rate, we each would have paid $50 or less but because shop minimum was $70, that would have been the most. I really don't like being overcharged or hearing from the artist then they try to convince people that they're getting a good deal. This was my 17th tattoo, not my first, I should have known better, but the artist should have known a review was forthcoming. I'm actually upset about this place and won't be recommending it to any of my friends in the area. read more

Andrew is awesome!!! I went in on Friday to get an infinity tattoo on my wrist. I was sweating and a Lil nervous( hey it was my first). My wife and Destinee just looked at each and started looking for a tattoo parlor. So long story short they found Ink Divine. Then I go kinda nervous being that Art was the only person there, a tattoo is permanent and, I hope this guy knows what he is doing. After that Art asked me what I want, where did I want it. He gave me some good feedback, showed us his work. Told us what his fee was up front. Did the design with my two girls name on it. Looked pretty damn good to me. I said let's rock and roll. Art made me feel extremely comfortable, we chopped it a bit. My first tattoo experience was a really good one. Would I get another one? Probably so. Ahh where to start! I contacted Faith on short notice to see if I could get a piece done on my back and he was more than accommodating from the start despite my short notice. I got my design over to him (A sunflower off of an oil painting I have) and told him to just do his "thing" and get back to me with what he has in store. All I can say is WOW. Despite the oil painting being in full color I explained to him that I mainly wanted to stick to blacks and grays while at the same time keeping definition and most importantly I wanted it to POP. This in my opinion is one of his many specialties. Even before beginning our session he went through each and every aspect of my tattoo and explained how everything was going to be done with what type of needle he would be using for each area, etc. This was a very important thing to me as it had me feeling comfortable and "at home" the entire time. Shop is super clean and the guys that work there are all super laid back and hilarious. I had a hard time trying not to laugh the entire time i was in there. You can tell the artists that work there are like a family. The total time for my tattoo sat between 3-4 hours. Over which Faith was more than willing to take breaks when I needed them and constantly checked up on me throughout the entire process to make sure that I was still doing good. One thing that I did notice throughout the entire time that I was getting my work done was how attentive Faith was throughout the entire process. While focusing on doing my tattoo he also had what seemed like a 6th sense for when I would twitch or move slightly and he had a really good sense for when I was getting uncomfortable. Honestly I cant really think of how this process could have gone any better. Props to Faith and the work that he loves to do. It shows exponentially! There are honestly not enough words to describe how awesome my tattoo turned out. Perfect is an understatement. I am absolutely in love with the work Faith did and will surely be returning to have him do more work for me. As for the hot towel. Literally the best part. Without a doubt. You cannot put a price on quality work that will be on your body for the rest of your life. His pricing was more than fair for the quality of work he puts out and I know he will continue to get better and better. I am MORE than happy with the service he provided. read more

I came here 3 years ago to get my first tattoo super last minute and I honestly went here because it was the closest to where I was at but after that first visit, I've been 5 more times and have not gone anywhere else since then.
