They have 2 offices on the same floor in the same building (both with signs that say "Wellish Abrams") and after checking in at the front desk we sat for an half hour but ten minutes past our appointment time someone called over from the other office and said I was in the wrong place and they had been searching all over for me assuming maybe I was stuck in the bathroom. It was quite a long time and lextensive process before we saw Dr Shah for about 3-5 minutes and he said I have a Vitreous Hemorrhage, it is very serious, and I need to see someone right away. I was referred to a retina specialist that was closed so I was told to call Desert Retina first thing the next day. The Wellish Abrams workers never faxed the referral with notes to Desert Retina so the operator at Desert Retina asked me to call Wellish Abrams and request they send the referral and notes. Wellish Abrams does not answer their phones, they employ an answering service which says they will try to get the request to Wellish Abrams within 24 hours. After 24 hours you must trust that the people who did not send the referral the first time will do it the next day. I do not understand why the process has to be such a circus, if you have an eye emergency why can't you go to one place and get all your medical needs accomplished? Southern Hills sent me to Wellish, which took 2 days, Wellish sent me to Desert Retina and didn't forward the referral and notes and meanwhile my eyeball is hemorrhaging. 3 doctors along the way stressed to me that my situation is an emergency and could result in blindness if not handled expeditiously.

The manager Laura is non existent and the scheduler Dahlia and is a robotic idiot. My follow-up appointment with Dr. Abrams was canceled. The idiot on the phone clearly had no clue what she was doing because she continued to place me on hold to ask someone else my questions due to not having the answers. She then told me to reach out to my insurance and ask them my questions, which I did. My insurance then confirmed they have paid Wellish just 2 weeks ago and have continued to do so. Wellish office staff have no idea what they are doing and DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE PATIENTS BELONGING TO THE CLINIC.

Dr. Brinkmann is exceptional and so is his office staff. I my dogs primary care today after he eye…read moreappointment and they basically told me it's an emergency and they can't help her. There's barely any pet ophthalmology services open on a Friday evening and Dr. Brinkmann took us. He is knowledgeable and heart lead. He went above and beyond. Not only did I find an answer and assistance, but I found comfort.

I want to start off by saying some positive things about my experience. First, this office was able…read moreto make an appointment for my dog sooner than any other ophthalmologist could. And the receptionist/aid was sweet to my dog. I did not find her to be rude like the other reviews suggested. In my first visit, Dr Brinkman was delayed in seeing me for personal reasons, and he acknowledged and was appreciative of my patience - very nice. Dr Brinkman is very knowledgeable and thorough in explaining the problem and how to fix it. For the task required to help my dog, he was competent. I believe he is a capable animal ophthalmologist. Now, here are some things the office needs to work on. When you open the door to the clinic, the door has some jagged washer type things screwed into the door - looks like a handle broke off - it snagged my clothing. Imagine what it will to to a persons skin. That's an easy fix. The receptionist said I was the first to mention it, so hopefully it will get done. The exam rooms need a cleaning from floor to ceiling. I have never been in a veterinary facility so unsanitary. Again, should be an easy fix. Hire someone to keep the clinic clean. Speaking of the exam rooms, during my first visit, I was placed in room 1 by the receptionist, and then the receptionist told the next dog family to go to room 1 as well. Luckily the other dog family was aware I was in there, otherwise it might have resulted in a dangerous confrontation with dogs. I have no idea how they could prevent that in the future, but I'm sure clinics have ways. Now, there are some charges that I did pay for, but I should've disputed them. One was the cost of the pressure test. I'm not sure why my dog needed one but I guess it's just part of the initial exam... whatever. But the receptionist/aid couldn't get my dog to cooperate during the test on her injured eye (obviously) so she said she'd have the doctor do it. He didn't do it, but I was charged for having both eyes pressured tested. My dog needed a debridement because the ulcer in her eye was not healing properly. That required an anesthetic to numb her eye. I had to drop it in myself while I waited on the doctor. I was charged $90 ($45 twice) for maybe 8 drops of used, unsanitary, expired anesthetic that I had to administer myself. Then the doctor came in and performed the debridement with about 3 or 4 swabs dipped in some solution, and I was charged $35 for the swabs alone. That is an outrageous price for Qtips. And they weren't even in a sealed package. Thankfully, the procedure worked! I was honestly worried that more harm than good would come from that visit. I really do appreciate that Dr Brinkman was successful in helping my dog, but should I need an ophthalmologist in the future, I will probably go elsewhere.

Dear Av Resuello, Medical Group,…read more I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding an extremely unprofessional and disrespectful interaction I experience when calling your office to confirm my appointment. During my call, the first staff member informed me that she could not locate my information and then place me on hold. After several minutes, another person picked up the line and greeted me as if I were a brand-new caller, with no acknowledgment that I had already been on hold. When I expressed the confusion and frustration about the situation, instead of listening or asking what the issue was, that staff member immediately. Stated that the police would be called if I came to the office. The response was completely inappropriate, unnecessary and highly unprofessional. At no point did I threaten anyone. I was simply trying to understand what had happened with my call and my appointment. Being met with that kind of hostility is unacceptable, especially from a medical office where professionalism, respect, and commotional should be top priorities. I am requesting that this incident be properly investigated and that the staff involved receive corrective action, whether that be disciplinary measures or formal retraining on communication, phone etiquette and de-escalation skills. Patient should never feel dismissed or theater when trying to receive assistance. I would also like to mention that when the agent who was assisting me called the office on my behalf, that same staff member spoke to her in a disrespectful and unprofessional manner as well. This shows that the issue is not isolated and that the way customer and even other professional are being spoken to need to be addressed. Please take this matter seriously and ensure that no other patient has toa experience what I did. I look forward to a response confirming my complaint has been received and steps are being taken to address this behavior.

First of all, she's a pediatrician! My cardiologist sent me…read morethere for a PCP referral (I'm a senior). I walk in to a room full of people (mostly children) and had to ask a child where to check in because the registration 'window' is completely covered with papers/signs/notices ... seriously can't even tell there's a window there. The only door is semi blocked so it took me a while to see that you have to knock on the door (wth) to even get someone to recognize that you are there. I don't even know what to say about quality of care. So bad! I waited over 3 hours and when I finally got in through the door it is littered with unnecessary furniture and obstacles so it makes it hard to walk through the hallways and get in the exam room, which is an office. I get it, it's a small business and you use what you have but this was extreme. The 'nurse' took all my info, then the doctor came in and did do a good background on me, except for wanting to change all my heart medications without first consulting my cardiologist. Then they made a huge mistake by typing in my name wrong on all the records so between them, my insurance claim, and CVS I now have 3 aliases and none of them are me so it's been a month and I'm still trying to get that fixed. It's really hard to get through to the office. The main number rings and rings and then magically disconnects. IMPOSSIBLE to get through, on a regular basis. When the doctor asked me when I wanted to go back for recheck, I asked for a day that wasn't as busy so I didn't have to wait three hours. She LAUGHED and said it was always like that. Wow. I did make an appointment but have been trying every day calling back to back for 20 minutes during lunch to get through to cancel. I will fax them along with a copy of this review and hopefully they will improve their services to other patients. Worst of all, the parking lot is horrid. There is one way in - one way out. Not enough parking for everyone so best of luck if you have big car/suv. I had to go around the block twice to realize the entrance is on the side street and getting out I had to back out of the IN way because I couldn't make the turn around the building to get out the out way.
