Sadly, I am compelled to give a one star review for NV Eye Physicians. I saw Dr. Singh for my 2 or 3 visits to the clinic and was pleased to transfer my eye care to him. He is very well qualified and I trust him (5+ Stars) Unfortunately NV Eye decided to perform a refraction during my initial eye exam. Apparently Medicare never covers this test and has denied the charge. NV Eye is billing me. I did not know that they would do this test nor, at the time, that it is not covered by Medicare. When I scheduled the appointment I made sure that they knew it was for a glaucoma-related exam. I have been having these exams, covered by Medicare, yearly since 2013. Online research reveals that refraction is for glasses/contact lens prescriptions. I did not receive or request such a prescription. I called NV Eye billing to discuss. The rep told me that because I signed the acceptance of financial liability form (the boiler plate form in the new patient pkg with the hippa info - basically that everyone must sign to get an appointment), I am responsible for the charge. I asked if there is an ABN - no, just this blanket form. She told me to call the medical office to discuss why this test was done on a Medicare beneficiary at all. She told me that her supervisor would call me. I called the office again and was sent straight to Billing. The supervisor has never called me. I do not know why NV Eye would perform an uncovered test as a part of a covered eye exam. I canceled my next appointment with Dr. Singh (6/8/26) because I cannot trust that they will not perform uncovered procedures without my permission. I am extremely disappointed, I was planning to schedule cataract surgery with Dr. Singh but cannot afford uncovered medical procedures. Customer service. They canceled my appointment and they never called me and rescheduled my appointment. If I never called their office, I wouldn't know. They are alway overbooked on patients , and we wait for an hour or two hours. read more

I'm sure the doctors are great.If you could see them. If you schedule an appointment at eight thirty in the morning, you won't be seen until closer to eleven. You're going to sit in a waiting room for over two hours and then the doctor will spend fifteen minutes looking at you. The staff is too busy coming up with inappropriate names to call themselves to be bothered with half decent customer service. If you tell them, release me from care I don't wish to come back.They're not actually going to remove you from the schedule.They're going to fail epically, and then harass you the next day about rescheduling, because 'you missed your appointment". Then, when you call back to talk to a supervisor the supervisor is going to pretend like she can't hear you or understand basic english. Don't forget She's going to turn around and blame it on you and say you're the rude one. While she conveniently forgets that her and her staff, not listening is actually what's rude. Unfortunately, I was stuck going to this Doctor because of a workman's comp issue, and maybe that's why they made sure that I knew from day one I was more of a nuisance than a patient. Sadly, I can't even rate the doctors because my total combined time over the year I had to see them might have been a grand whopping hour. I scheduled an appointment online and someone called ME to reschedule and said I needed to see a different dr. I drove 30 minutes waited for 20 minutes for them to tell me the dr I'm seeing doesn't handle my eye condition or contacts period. They didn't offer any apolo or seem to even care. Please DO NOT GO HERE FOR EYE SERVICES. If I could rate it a ZERO I would. I had a Pterygium removed from my left eye on 4/30/25 the surgery went well but after the surgery everything went horribly wrong. I had eye surgery with an eye graft on my left eye and after the anesthesia wore off Doctor Frank Lee said to take tylenol for any pain. By the time I got home from the surgery I was in EXCRUCIATING pain. Even after taking 1000 Mg of Ibuprofen & 1000 Mg of Tylenol together I was still in excruciating pain. My left eye was burning, stinging and feeling like it was being stabbed over & over again. So I called the office as the discharge instructions had instructed me to if I had any pain. And I explained my excruciating pain to the front desk staff & she transferred me to Dr Lee's nurse which I started to explained to her about the pain. She told me to take Ibuprofen & to put a COLD ICE PACK on my EYE. I told her I already took the ibuprofen & it was not working & I am NOT about to put a hard cold pack on my very sensitive & painful eye. I ask if Dr Lee can prescribe me strong pain medication to help with this excruciating pain & she proceeded to tell me that Dr Lee does not prescribe strong pain medicine. I was literally CRYING from the pain & she & Dr Lee still did not help with my pain discomfort. I told her I was going to the emergency room to help treat this pain & she told me to just wait it out as I had a follow up appointment with Dr Lee the following day. I told her NO I am going to the ER NOW & I was extremely upset in how she just disregarded my pain. I went to the ER at the hospital & I told them I just had eye surgery & I am in excruciating pain. They treated me & prescribed me strong pain medicine. So the next day at my follow up appointment with Dr Lee I told the medical technician about the pain & the ER visit I had to go through because of Dr Lee's medical negligence and she was typing on the computer as if she was writing all this on the notes. Come to find out she didn't mention anything about the ER visit on my medical record notes. I told Dr Lee about the pain & the ER visit as well but he disregarded my situation & told me that I was being "too sensitive " with my eye pain. I had a few follow up visits afterwards & at each follow up Dr Lee was very insensitive about my recovery. As of now 3 months after surgery my eye is still red, burning, tearing and extremely sensitive to air & light. The front desk staff is also very rude to the elderly patients & the wait to get seen is long. I DO NOT recommend this place unless you want to have a bad experience. read more

My wife had cataract surgery on her left eye in June and altogether we have paid out of pocket $2,780, and her vision did not get better in fact it is worse than before the surgery! They want even more money to correct her vision in the left eye. Meanwhile, they want her to have her right eye done. We are too afraid that it will turn out like the left eye. read more

Extremely bad customer service. I have a surgery this Wednesday, 6/11. I was supposed to be called the week before with the time of surgery. I was not. I called on Friday 6/6 and was told If I don't hear back to call back after 2:00. I called after 2:00 and then I was guaranteed that I would get a call back before the end of the day. No call came in. However, they did manage to text me with my copay amount and said if it was not paid the surgery, that is yet to be scheduled, would be cancelled. I've been on hold now for 40 minutes trying to pay my co-pay and get my appointment time. This is such bad customer service. I deserve to have a surgery time by now. I need to make transportation arrangements, and my ride has a job and needs to know the surgery time as well. read more

I arrived 15 minutes early, but waited 45 minutes after my appointment time to be seen. The lady who tested my vision was patient and thorough. However, the doctor did not seem so thorough in checking the health of my eyes, and his assistant came off as disdainful. I will be seeing a different eye doctor next time. read more

Better scheduling time and availability of physicians in my local area requires improvement. I was booked on a schedule where I had to drive 30+ miles out for an appointment, and while the front desk staff were friendly, they still didn't get the proper grade and focus of my lenses corrected. There were diagonal streaks running down the left side of my lens, and I forked out additional expenses out of pocket to have the best transition/anti-glare lenses customized for my eyeglasses, but my eyeglasses were still unsatisfactory. read more

They wasted my money and time twice within a week and when called on their BS they begin to talk down to you or try and rush you out the door. Appointment was scheduled for 9:15. Didn't get called in until almost 10:00. No greetings coming from the assistant, just called my mom's name and that's it. Since my mom lived in Reno for a few years after moving back here in Vegas, I brought her records and handed it over to the first assistant/technician. She "looked over it" and I told her that the records were in chronological order (2018-2021). I think the only thing she actually paid attention to was the 2018 even if the latest record was last 2021. This young lady needs to have her attitude checked up! Then my mom was finally seen by the ophthalmologist. I was expecting that he would dilate her eyes since it's for annual exam. But he must be a real expert in his job that he didn't have to do a thorough exam and told us we have to watch out for glaucoma and wants to see her after 6 months. When he asked if my mom wanted an eyeglass, I told them that she has lenses on, which was documented on the records I gave the first technician. If I remember right we were told by the eye clinic in Sparks/Reno that she won't be needing eyeglasses anymore. I still had to translate to my mom so there was a delay on our response when the second technician asked us impatiently whether she wants eyeglasses or not. STAFF ARE UNFRIENDLY AND UNPROFESSIONAL ! I had cataract surgery December 2021. First eye surgical procedure was great. Office personnel was great. The surgical center was great. I paid a couple thousand out of pocket for this procedure. The procedure for my other eye was not so great. Pre-op was great. I knew I had an additional payment of a few hundred dollars to be made prior to my second procedure. I tried to make the payment during my pre-op appointment and I was told there wasn't any amount due. I went to a follow-up appointment prior to second cataract surgery. I again attempt to pay for my upcoming procedure. I was told no payment was due. While I'm driving home from this appointment I receive a phone call from the billing department telling me a payment was due. Because I was driving I needed to call the billing department back. When I called the billing department back I am told no payment is due. I tell them someone just left a message on my voicemail informing me a payment was due. And I know a payment was due for a couple hundred dollars. They put me on hold. They come back to the line and again tell me no payment is due. On the morning of my procedure for my second cataract surgery the receptionist at the surgical center tells me my doctor's office will not proceed with the surgery without payment. A mere $300 payment that I tried to make three times - I am now told by the receptionist at the surgical center that Nevada Eye physicians billing department will not proceed with the surgery moments before the surgery is to be performed. No surgery if payment not made now. I am given this information by a non employee of Nevada Eye physician. Really!!! I was so close to canceling this appointment. The medical staff at the surgical center was very customer service oriented. Unlike Nevada Eye physicians billing staff. I went into the surgery feeling anxious about what had just happened. I went to my surgery follow up appointments. I made numerous complaints on what happened. No apology from billing for their stupidity. Apparently, no one cares. And now I'll look for a new eye doctor. read more

Dr. Singh performed two cataract surgeries on my eyes in a span of three weeks. He has such a calming effect and so skilled. I walked in his office hopelessly failing the eye exam on one eye and barely able to see out of the other. Three weeks later and two surgeries, I can see the world again. In July 2023 I made an appointment with Nevada Eye Physician just to get help with itching on my eyelid that wouldn't go away. Dr. Singh spent a hot minute on the eyelid and spent more time selling me on the benefits of cataract eye surgery and how it would improve my vision. WRONG!!! In December 2023, I had surgery on my left eye and in January 2024 I had surgery on my right eye. After the second surgery, the doctor gave me a prescription for new glasses. As of today, 6 months later, I've been struggling to see clearly with and without my new glasses. It's been a nightmare. I've returned to see the doctor multiple times and I've had to spent more money on eye drops that don't work. Now the doctor is saying that I need more treatment to correct my vision. Besides what was covered by my insurance, I had to pay $3,000+- for what was not covered by my insurance plus new glasses and eye drops. Six months after the surgery I am struggling to see clearly and I am depressed. I spent two weeks on a European vacation asking people to read for me because I could not see clearly. Now I'm struggling with depression because of my poor vision. Before coming to Nevada Eye Physician, there was nothing wrong with my vision that a good pair of prescription glasses couldn't fix. Now they want to do more eye work to correct what's wrong with my eyes and I will have to pay more money. After this experience, I'm afraid for anyone at Nevada Eye Physician to put their hands on my eyes. If I go blind after whatever procedure they want to do on my eyes, then they will just say there are risks that may happen. Personally, I think they are in the business of selling cataract surgery to those that fit the profile; a senior citizen with health insurance. Now I'm paying the price. WARNING!!! I had to go to a second doctor for the same issue, since my eye concern was not properly addressed. i disputed part of the charge. I thought it was settled but they kept charging for the difference. When I called, even though I was very polite and calm and was just asking for an explanation. I received a very aggressive response. The lady spoke to me in a way I am not used to be spoken to. They honestly don't care how long you wait. It won't matter to their bottom line, as the waiting room is packed. You might see the doctor for 5 minutes-if you are lucky. You will be passed from one tech to another, and from one room to another-in here, out to the waiting room, over to this other room, now go see the doctor in a different room. And the first tech will incorrectly record your history and reason for visit; it all needs to be repeated for the doctor. Your appointment will take about three hours--this is normal, per the tech. You were kept waiting so long that the tech you need for your next test is at lunch, left for the day, on break...and you will need to come back tomorrow. Yes, just like that. read more

this physicians office triple booked appointments. You have a guaranteed 30 to 45 minute wait time once you check in. Their process guarantees you at least an hour and a half to two hours. You will spend here for a basic appointment. Unfortunately, the staff hast to deal with with this from these doctors. Not their fault, but they don't really give a crap that you are waiting. I highly recommend you find a different physicians office. There's plenty of iPhones oceans around that do take care of the people properly and value everybody's time. read more

Worst doctors office I have ever had to deal with. Receptionists sitting in very crowded office would not help. When I wanted to check in, I was told go to the machine in the corner. When I wanted to pay, again I was told go to the machine in the corner. When I was called back, all of the tests, etc were done by assistants. Dr. Singh then came over to me for exactly 1 minute to smile and tell me all was ok and then left. Then the real horror began. 6 phone calls because of 6 bills I received. Each time I was told something different. We owe you money, you owe us money, you don't owe any money, then a bill for almost twice the amount of the others threatening to turn me over to collections. Then I was told I would receive a letter confirming I don"t owe anything which of course never came. And, now I just received another bill showing I owe money and an entirely different amount than any of the other bills. It's an on going horror.. Dont ever go to this office. read more

I'm not sure if it has been the same clerk behind the counter since I checked in but I can tell u majority of the patients in the waiting area was watching the movie showing before she decided to change it. Yesterday was the day I finally gave into LASIK For everyone asking here's all the info on who I went to and how it went! (I'll start off with the final product for those who want to skip the details): Final Product: When I woke up this morning (24 Hours after the procedure). My eyes we're... well... WOW Like my eyesight was comparable to HD when I went to my post op today my Dr. confirmed that I now have 20/20 vision and it will only get better as the healing process continues! My eyesight was so bad beforehand, it's truly a blessing that I haven been able to get this corrective surgery. I cannot wait to explore the world with my new eyes Who I went to: Dr. Surjeet Singh, MD. Over the past 5 years he has successfully completed over 5,000 lasik procedures. He also came highly recommended by my friends and dentist at @bellasmileslv , @aseemthedream73 , & @ctchow34 (Who by the way are the best dentist in town, if you ever need a recommendation for that ). Where: Nevada Eye Physicians Actual Procedure: So forewarning, I may have a biased review on this procedure because I totally missed the memo that I was supposed to administer the Valium (sedative) to myself before starting/and or getting to the office (that part is still unclear because in order to not get freaked out I wanted to hear as little as legally possible before starting it) LOL. When people say its painless it totally is. You feel a bit of pressure at some points, but nothing too drastic. If you have any type of fear of the unknown that will be heightened and may cause anxiety that only last for a few minutes (that's how long the procedure takes). He walked me through the entire thing and ensured I stayed as calm as possible (prob wouldn't of be necessary if I had the Valium ). All in all though it went well. Scary, anxiety filled, but short, quick and painless. After the Procedure: The following hours after, my sensitivity to light was immense. I administered the eye drops I was given, went to my post op after and got some more numbing cream. At that point Dr. Singh confirmed that the procedure went as planned and it looked excellent. I got my prescription for my Valium, took that, put more eye drops in, and proceeded to pass out with my protective googles Woke up the next morning and then ... the final product is listed above for anyone who missed it! read more

Dr. Singh preformed cataract surgery on my right eye 2 weeks ago. I am so pleased with the outcome that I am having him do my left eye next week. Go here if you enjoy the following: - A confusing phone scheduling / prompt system that disconnects on you and takes you to extensions that nobody answers. - When they do answer; being placed on an additional hold and ultimately disconnected and hung up on w/o ever really speaking to anyone. - Or getting an operator w/o any personality that tells you that you will have to wait weeks to see a doctor. - When you appointment arrives expect to wait anywhere between an hour and three hours before the doctor actually see's you. Bring a book or a sleeping bag to take a nap. - Being rushed in and out by the doctor after waiting so long to see him/her. - Being up-sold for services that you do not need. - Being over-billed for services you did not receive. Happened to me, had to call and actually fight to have charges removed for services that I never received. Eventually the charges were taken off after multiple phone calls. This place is too big and too chaotic for me. Have better things to do than wait hours in your waiting room. Actually witnessed some senior citizens lose it on the front desk staff over the excessive waiting. Also, clean that graffiti from the wall in your men's bathroom too. Not a good look for this nice neighborhood. Been there a long time. Also need to update or clean the furniture in your waiting room. It's old and weathered. I was a patient at both sides of this doctors office. I saw the ENT and Opticians. I saw the allergist several times. I had hearing tests performed. Ordered custom ear plugs. Looked at frames for glasses etc. I was equally as frustrated each time I came to see a doctor here. This was a systemic problem that plagued both sides of this office. Just felt a bit too big and chaotic for the staff to properly handle / address. Long time patient that's finally just fed up... going elsewhere. EDIT: the owner and doctor of this office responded to my review quickly and apologized for my experiences here. He said that he will be personally addressing each issue stated above. I had glass in my eye and was screaming in pain-sent from the emergency room across the street. They wouldn't even look at me for four hours, and I waited for the doc another half hour to put a couple of drops in my eye and give me a prescription. This review is for the Ear part of NV Eye & Ear. I recently had a tonsillectomy performed by Dr. Scott Manthei. My recovery wasn't flawless, but I believe the procedure Dr. Manthei performed was adequate and in good medical form. My 2 stars for this place is due to the ridiculous wait times for appointments. Every appointment I've had at this office involves an hour wait time for a 5-10 minute consultation time with the doc. Plus, the nurses always put off a cranky vibe, which adds to the overall headache. Even though I found myself happy with Dr. Manthei's work, I will try a new office for any future ENT needs. read more

I arrive for my appointment at this Nevada Eye and Ear location on 04/28/2016. I visited them last year, that is why I was returning for my yearly eye exam. However, upon arrival I was asked to show my insurance card. They apparently had not gone over any of the insurance information before I arrived, this was the first mistake they made. Then after receiving my insurance company information they informed me that I did not have eye coverage under my insurance plan. Which obviously is incorrect. I asked them regarding last years insurance that was covered and they had said that was in effect, but it was only 20% off eye services. Which this is also completely incorrect At this point in time, 30 minutes had passed and so had my appointment time. After their incorrect information about my insurance I had to call my father, who is the main holder of the insurance, to ask him exactly what was covered under our insurance. I notified them and they again were adamant that I did not have insurance coverage. It was at this point my father had to dig around in his files to find the paper that explained that we have eye coverage under our hometown health. He texted me the image and it was only then did they finally realized that they had made a serious mistake. However, by the time all of this had happened it was 50 minutes past my appointment time. I decided that it was best to reschedule and I rescheduled with them for a later date. Fast forward to the next day, I receive a phone call from their office asking regarding why I had "missed my appointment." I had to explain to the receptionists that I had been in there the day before and they had messed up my insurance information and I had to reschedule because it was already 50 minutes passed the appointment time. The woman said" Oh you already rescheduled?" I responded by saying "you didn't know?" and the woman hung up on me after that. This place obviously lacks customer service. The next day after finding another provider off the website, I called Nevada Eye and Ear again and cancelled the appointment. They seemed to not care just say "ok thanks". I also emphasized that I no longer wanted to be a patient. Again I the receptionist gave me an apathetic attitude. I thought that was going to be the last time I had to deal with this company, I was wrong. Now today, 5/14/2016, I receive a phone call from the other optometrist I had made an appointment with; they informed me that Nevada Eye and Ear still had a hold on my yearly eye exam. Even after I expressed that I did not want to be a patient of theirs. Also I want to emphasize I have not received my yearly eye exam from them. How am I supposed to get new contact lens without an eye exam that they have a hold on my insurance? This is why I believe the proper resolution for this offense is for them to be censured so that no other eye med customer has to go through the hassle I have already gone through. Warning do not go this place they probably will give you the wrong prescription that is if they even can figure out how to even properly look up insurance company information. read more

I'm writing this review as I wait to be seen... I have been here since 1:20...it's 3:05. I have had the pre-screening and watched in horror as the tech wiped the utensils down with dry Kleenex...that just happened. This place is a shit hole, the wait is ridiculous (why did I even need an appointment?? They obviously don't follow a schedule??). Now I sit here trapped between sticking it out and finishing this dirty job (which I'm guessing is going to come with a departing prize of eye herpes) or hightailing it out of here... Went here last year close to New Years. The office was opened but the staff resented it. Unhappy faces were accompanied by rude comments made by the girls checking patients out. Was my first experience - can't say I'd like to go back in the near future. The doctor I saw had no interest in me or my eyes.
