Why would you want to do business with people like this? They gouge and offer quotes that are ridiculous and offer services that are not needed, when you just need your septic tank pumped. I don't care if they were the last septic company on Earth, I would NOT USE THEM for fear of being ripped off, quoting uneccessary work, and/or not doing an efficient job. I had a falling out with a technician in 2021, and tried to reschedule an appointment, "Finally getting a decent and logical quote," and they cancelled me due to the discrepancy I had with them in 2021, 3 years ago. Center Septic is the only company we will call for our septic needs. A couple years ago, we purchased a property on septic and had a lot to learn. We were told by McKenna Septic that we needed $20k+ worth of repair, so we got another opinion from Sludgebusters and were told of an entirely different problem that would amount to upwards of $15k. After hearing from those two companies, we were pretty discouraged and felt like both companies were trying to generate costly and unnecessary work at the expense of our lack of knowledge with septic. We decided to find a third company to come out and inspect, and after reading other peoples' wonderful experiences with Center Septic on NextDoor, we called them. After inspection, they informed us that the tank and field appeared to be in good condition and none of that work recommended by the other companies was necessary--which saved us thousands of dollars. We had them install risers which would bring our septic up to code, and that was it! This week we called them again to pump, and help with a blockage in our line and they were not only incredibly helpful with fitting us in their schedule at a busy time of year, but it also is so nice to be able to trust the company. That is so rare these days, and very much appreciated. Kenny and Ryan were exceptional, knowledgeable, and kind. Working with Center Septic was 100% positive. When Kenny (owner) pumped out the tanks, he discovered that the leach line was blocked. Ryan came out and did a diagnostic (camera). It was evident that tree roots had the first line blocked. (Trees planted over the leach line by a previous owner...don't ever do that!) We set a date for Ryan to come back to install a new crossover. Watching him work was amazing. His skill, respect for our property and willingness to educate us was A+. Family owned and ran business. They are not only kind and friendly but also professional and honest. They prices are also very reasonable. My first experience with them was when they came to our house to clean our septic tank. One of the handles on one of the lids was broken. They were able to remove the lids without breaking any of the lids. We were very pleased with their work. Then my mom's septic tank was serviced by another company from San Marcos. Also, one of the handles was broken on one of her lids. The other company broke her lid claiming it was already broken and it would cost her $300 to replace the lids. I called Center Septic and they were very understanding and helpful. Even though they didn't service my mom's septic tank, they were able to replace the lid for $75 within a reasonable time frame. FIRST, let me warn anyone with a Septic Tank that it is a lot cheaper to have your tank pumped periodically than to let it go until it stops-up. If it gets too clogged, it may take a plumber to clear your messy, clogged home drain pipes (a bad experience t live with) - AND - if it passes too much sludge to the drain-field lines, it could cost you thousands of $$ to put in new ones (and an even worse experience to live with). SECOND, there are published recommendations on how often to have a tank pumped, based on the average number of people in the home. For example, a 2 person home should have their tank pumped every 12 years. For a family of 4, it is every 6 years. (One tip: it's cheaper to either dig away the soil over the tank yourself or hire a day-laborer to do it - rather than paying the Septic Tank Pumping service to expose the tank top.) THIRD - RECOMMENDATION for 'Center Septic.' We used this company, a 1 person, 1 truck operation. He was prompt, courteous, and diligent - and his price was a bit lower than many others. Center Septic's equipment is first-rate. The owner is a terrifically nice guy and will go out of his way to do what you want, the way you want it. This service is way above all of the big operators, who, by comparison, seem impersonal, bureaucratic, and expensive (and some have extra 'hidden' prices - but NOT "Center Septic"; very honest!). I believe that "Center Septic" serves Southern Riverside County, CA and Northern San Diego County, CA. Give them a call if you need pumping service; you won't regret that you did. The price he quotes you is the price you will pay - and you will get a nicely formatted, complete receipt upon completion. I believe he accepts checks and credit cards. read more
