Not long after that awkward conversation , I received a call from the state and they told me what they found. I was vindicated on a few concerns and the facility will have to address and fix them. This conversation was much smoother and my anxieties were calmed by the investigator. The state DID substantiate my concerns and complaints. I again encourage anyone on the fence about whether or not to speak up, just do it. If no one knows about an issue, how can anything change for the better? I may never truly know if any of the issues were fixed but the once bitter taste in my mouth is slowly going away. **It's a nice facility that has some bigger issues that need to be addressed. Considering the hospitals they are loosely affiliated with I expect Crystal Cove to do better.** The type of care a patient receives will always reflect on the facility regardless of why they are there. Short term care or long term care should be treated the same.

I have a hectic work schedule, but Smita always found a way to accommodate me without making me feel like an inconvenience. That kind of professionalism and empathy is hard to find. Finding the Newport Hand Center was truly the luckiest part of my journey. Joanne and the entire team are absolutely amazing at what they can do. Over the course of a few months, I found myself going from constant pain and the inability to use my left hand to where I was back in the golf course a few months later. I am now nearing the 1 year mark from the surgery and can say I'm back to my old self and doing all of the activities I love. I have told everyone that will listen: I had an amazing surgeon who put me in a position to heal. But I give the real credit to Joanne and the entire team at the Newport Hand Center for truly healing me. These folks are amazing.

I am currently 6 months into the rehab and couldn't be happier with my progress. After 6 short months I am now back to normal life and actively hiking, mountain biking, swimming and I owe all to CDMPT. CDMPT created a dynamic workout plan that was suited to my physical level and progression. Each 1 hour session consisted of a warm-up, then a massage and a overall examination of my knee, then a tailored work out plan based on my progression and strength. I had my pcp refer me to a new place, this one, where I met Max and Brandon and all their wonderful aides. They treated me like an individual and not just someone lumped in with a group that they had to hurry and see and send on my way. They learned about me and pushed me when I was ready, and took it easy on me when needed. They were invested in my care which was so appreciated. I spent a few months there getting better and stronger before being discharged with the tools I needed to succeed at home. I was sad to leave! They were knowledgeable and provided quality care, although they seemed understaffed. My biggest concern was with the front desk and billing process. I was scheduled for more visits than my insurance coverage allowed, and I was later told that I was fully responsible for the additional fees. While I understand that patients are responsible for knowing their insurance benefits, I also expect a basic level of communication and customer service from a medical office. A clinic should have a system to track the number of authorized visits and alert patients when they are approaching or exceeding their coverage limits. Instead, I was left feeling like the responsibility was shifted entirely onto me for an issue that could have been prevented with better internal tracking and communication. It is frustrating to receive good clinical care but have such a disappointing experience with the administrative side.

MTS Mobile Therapy Specialists was referred to provide services. My experiences from day one, was exceptional. From office contacts to the therapists they provided, the organization reflected professionalism and care. Therapists Britney Baker OT and Jamil Kassam PT, were excellent! Their knowledge of exercise's, activities, and specific body movements have brought me to walking that I have not enjoyed for several years. Both Britany and Jamil were kind yet firm getting me to move correctly. They were always professional in their appearance and demeanor. Still more work to do, but they have left me with exercises that will continue my development. I still hear their repeated encouragement to walk!!! For my three week home physical therapy NOI prescribed Mobile Therapy Specialists (MTS). I highly, highly recommended them. My physical therapist is Mark Singh, and he is wonderful and very professional. When he comes to my house, he has a massage table on which he performs my physical therapy. When he arrives, the first thing he does is check my blood pressure and temperature to make sure that I'm healthy enough to actually get my physical therapy. Then he massages my knee and starts to bend it for me. He is gentle and strong and by day three of his therapy I had my knee bending at 85°. Now I am doing exercises on my own as well to continue the bend and make my leg stronger. I can't tell you how thrilled I am with his work on my knee and MTS. If you need HOME physical therapy use MTS. www.MTSresults.com. And like their website says you will get great results. Last year the doctor prescribed the company called Luna. They were horrible. They taught me how to do exercises and they never touched me. I did not bend my knee to 90° until month three because they did not help me bend my knee in the beginning, they just taught me calisthenics.
