I am writing to formally express my frustration and concern regarding the lack of fuel delivery to…read moreour home despite multiple calls and assurances from your company. My husband, AJ, first called on 1/16 when our tank was below 30% and also notified you that the monitoring system was not working. He called again on 1/20 and was told we were scheduled for delivery on Thursday the 22nd since you would be in our area. No delivery occurred. I then called on 1/23 to report that we were between 20-25% with snow and ice approaching, yet we still did not receive fuel by 1/29. On Monday 2/2 after being given the runaround/ told someone would call me back @ 8:20 & 12:40 when I attempted to get an answer. Then I called back after 4p as our tank had dropped to 10% or less. I spoke with Claudia, who stated we were scheduled for delivery on 2/5. After 4:00 PM today (2/5), I called again to confirm since no truck had arrived and was told drivers would be working until 8-9 PM and that we would receive fuel tonight. We are now (8:45p) below 5% (essentially empty). AJ has contacted your emergency line and was told someone should arrive within two hours. Thankfully driver showed up at 10p to fill tank and how ironic we were told he was around our area all day and we weren't on his ticket. Adding to our frustration, Tiger Fuel has had no problem drafting our account monthly, yet we cannot get the basic service we are paying for. This situation is unacceptable and has placed our household at risk during winter conditions. We relied on repeated assurances from your company that delivery was scheduled and coming. Please provide: 1. Why the runaround btwn different offices when customers call. 2. An explanation for the repeated missed deliveries and lack of communication. 3. Information on how this failure will be addressed moving forward to prevent recurrence. Sincerely, Mary & AJ Florian

The reality is this has been a horrible winter and they have had to struggle along with the rest of us. Taking responsibility and willingness to talk to your customers proves they care. We came in needing a replacement toilet gasket, which can get confusing fast once you are staring at a wall of slightly different sizes and materials. An employee named Andre was in the middle of completing another task down the aisle, but he stopped what he was doing without hesitation to help us out. Instead of just pointing at a shelf and walking off, Andre took the time to ask about our setup and walked us through what to look for so we didn't end up buying the wrong one and making a second trip. That kind of practical, proactive advice saved us a massive headache once we got home to install it. Huge thanks to Andre for going out of his way--and definitely keep an eye out for the friendly store kitty when you visit!

I recently had to visit this Lowe's because my usual location was out of stock of quite a few of…read morethe things I needed, and I'm honestly so glad I made the trip! I was pleasantly surprised to find everything I was looking for, plus so many other things I didn't even know Lowe's carried. They had totes in different colors, ( Pink ) and I ended up picking up four mini totes. I had no idea Lowe's carried them, and I thought they were absolutely adorable! I also have to give THIS Lowe's major credit for having one of the BEST plant sections I've seen at a Lowe's. The variety was great, but what really stood out to me was how incredibly lush and well cared for everything was. I honestly don't understand how every Lowe's can seemingly source from many of the same growers, ( Costa Farms ) yet the plant sections can look so completely different from store to store. This location was doing something RIGHT! There wasn't a single area where plants were sitting in standing water or obviously being overwatered. I didn't see gnats or little bugs flying around everywhere, and at the same time, I wasn't seeing plants that were completely dried out and struggling because they needed water. Everything looked healthy, vibrant, and genuinely cared for. As someone who loves plants, I really appreciated seeing a garden center that was clearly being maintained instead of just having plants sitting there waiting to be purchased. The store itself was clean, organized, and easy to shop. I used the self checkout, and I also want to give a special shoutout to Zadia in the self checkout area. She was incredibly helpful, attentive, and genuinely willing to assist whenever needed. Great customer service definitely deserves to be recognized! And then there's FRANCINE. There is nothing more RVA than a Lowe's cat becoming an entire citywide community project! If you know, you know. Francine has apparently been shipped out before, and the whole city rallied together to make sure she made it back home. Now she lives at Lowe's, seems completely happy and comfortable, and even has an AirTag! Everyone who came through the store seemed to know exactly who she was, and practically everyone I saw walk past her stopped to take a picture or say hello. She was clearly very loved and well taken care of, and honestly, seeing her just made the whole experience that much better. Overall, I had a really great experience at this Lowe's. I found everything I came for, discovered some cute things I wasn't expecting, got to admire one of the best maintained Lowe's plant sections I've seen, received great customer service, and got to meet the local celebrity Francine. Definitely a Lowe's I'll be visiting again!

They test any equipment before they send it home with you, so you don't have to get all the way home only to find it's not working properly. They'll give you detailed instructions on how to work whatever you're renting as well, which has proved very helpful. They have a great website so you can look up all the tools before you go. Prices are very, very reasonable. But perhaps the biggest reason you should choose Rental Works over any of the other rental places in town is how incredible their customer service is. The gentlemen there will treat you right. I've been using them for a couple of years and every employee I've ever interacted with has been helpful, polite, and gone out of their way to make me happy. Once, I had to rent a sump pump in the middle of a bad winter storm. It was so icy I couldn't bring it back the next day and they didn't even charge me a late fee. Needless to say, I couldn't be a happier customer.

Mind you, I have four separate storage cages with four different padlocks for them. I tried cutting the locks off with a small hacksaw with no luck. Next I tried a small bolt cutter borrowed from a neighbor... nada! I then "yelped" "tool rental" and up popped Rental Works conveniently located on W Broad St just off I-64W. Called them, they answered immediately (this is Saturday morning mind you), and found they had a heavy duty bolt cutter with 36 inch handles. They promised to hold it for me so I zipped out to their Location from downtown in less than 15 minutes. They had the bolt cutter sitting on the counter waiting for me. I took the minimum rental time of half a day (4 hours) for all of $12.00, drove home, easily cut the locks off and drove back to Rental Works where they actually met me in the parking lot with my receipt, a hearty congrats on getting the job done and sent me in my way. A long story I know...BUT I'm not sure I've ever had such great service from such knowledgeable and friendly guys. Almost wish I had more locks to cut off. Rental Works is definitely my "go to" tool rental" place from now on.
