Stay away from this organization. They are cheaters (which is why they got kicked out of participating in NFL Flag organization). They roster all their possible players so then after they lose, the next game you will see new kids on the team. But if you challenge them, they send emails like this. They have one set of rules for teams beating them and one set of rules for their own teams. Hypocrites is the best way to describe them! Come on guys. Do better! Don't talk about sportsmanship when you have ZERO of that. Take a loss like a real team and work harder. read more

Terrible sports league. A competitive sports team for 5 & 6 year olds. Coaches care more about winning games than teaching players the game. Game times change the DAY OF games. Each adult has to pay to enter the stands to support your child (on top of paying for the league). Our latest game required multiple police to escort a dad off the fields because he didn't like a call the ref made (again, for a 5-6 yo team). Very unorganized overall. Not a great league for a new player learning the game. I would highly recommend playing on a different league. read more

Agreed with many posts. League is very unorganized. Didn't know about anything until less than a week out. Always changing times of games and yes for charging to watch your 6 year olds is stupid with a very high registration fee. Will go to another league next year. read more

STAY FAR AWAY--this outfit is a total cash grab. We participated in one of their tournaments recently that had WAY too many teams for the size of the venue, and as a result, young kids were playing till midnight in pool games, only to be told the next day that there would be a random draw for seeding, so the pool games basically meant nothing--all 3 pool games were meaningless, and everything came down to a single elimination bracket--one loss and go home! The fields were badly need of maintenance (the grass in the outfield was up to 6" in parts), and the entire facility was a muddy mess because nothing was paved or even had gravel in the walking areas. The place was an absolute goat ranch; I imagine it was the cheapest facility CenTex could find. Game times were changed several times a day leading up to the day of the tournament, and promises that were made IN WRITING were not honored. I've been to lots tournaments with my kids over the years, coached for several seasons, and this was, BY FAR, the worst managed, and at the very worst facility we've ever played. Add to all of that the fact that the gate entry fee for the fans was 50% higher than we've ever seen at any tournament, and you can see where the priority of this company is. Spoiler: it's not developing kids into better ball players. How these people sleep at night is beyond me--if I could give negative stars, I would. read more

If you like your kids' team going against some teams with such horrible sportsmanship that the players AND coaches were threatening to fight your 12-13 year old team members (even taking off their shirts), with no repercussions from the league, then this is the place for you! Do you like the owners temporarily stacking their own teams with players that don't even play for the league so that they can get tournament wins? And then the players mock automatic-rifle your team players down? Again, this place will feel like home to you! If you like relentlessly getting matched against teams that are all older than your team, by all means, sign up! (All this in the midst of our coaches constantly having our team's back and standing up for us in the league, but to no avail.) Of course this doesn't reflect all players on the bad sportsmanship teams (but the vast majority at least and their coaches as well - otherwise the players would not be so bad), but winning by any means necessary is valued over sportsmanship here (and the majority players are YOUNG) - I agree with PP, it used to not be so bad like that. Recently, on a tournament, or at least 3-game day with them, we got there at 8 am to warm up before the game at 9. The 9:00 team was a no-show, but we were told we still had to replay them later (even though we were able to find out about the last-minute game times from CenTex the day before, apparently grace was given to this team because they "missed it.") We then didn't have another game until 12 and just had to wait around. It was also a very cold day. This continued throughout the day, them telling us certain games were on, then off, then back on again. Not so great for the many families who are already struggling driving their other kids across the Austin metroplex and trying to get back in time. Often, we also get refs who have no clue the rules or what is going on either (or seem to have favoritism), and no scores are ever posted. (The one bright spot is the guy (not in ownership) who manages the fields and fields the complaints - busy guy - on game days, and I can't remember his name right now, but he is great.) We have been threatening it a while, but our team - who has stuck with our coaches for several seasons - will not be back. Our coaches are finding another league. read more

Very unorganized and yes they charge you to watch your kids team at the gate. Unless you have a coach and or team you will not enjoy your time with the league either cause they don't actually provide coaches and they like to stack older kids on their own teams. Once the kids know who each other are it's very obvious. Paying weekly to see my son play is just ridiculous though. Would never tell anyone anything positive about this league or encourage anyone to join. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND. I don't normally review, but this experience has been so bad for our kids that I think it's important for other parents to avoid going through what my sons, their teammates, and their volunteer coaches and parents have gone through. Our kids work hard and the coaches dedicate so much time to sportsmanship and character development. - When we show up for games ready to play, the schedule (if we get it in time) is changed around. - The league AND the tournaments are stacked with the owner's teams, many of which are last minute fill ins who treat it like a joke, have very poor sportsmanship, and don't follow the rules, which... - The rules are not enforced and the referees are, at best, inconsistent. They don't even KNOW the rules! Our kids are great sports and can take bad calls knowing it goes both ways, but this is extreme ineptitude and inconsistency. The referees are completely unprepared, and usually late to the games, causing more scheduling confusion. - The coordinator tries his best to receive all of the complaints on behalf of the owners. He responds to the issues with the refs as best he can. It is just such a mess and it is more than he has the capacity or authority to fix. I feel bad for him. - Tournaments... tldr: Do not participate in any of their tournaments. BOTTOM LINE: I wish our team could get a full refund from this league, and all the wasted time back for our families. We will never play with them again. read more

I will never allow my kids to play for this organization again. It was great 2 years ago but the last year or so it has been absolutely terrible. My son played soccer in the fall, they had a full team and no coach! These kids had NO practices the entire season and apparently the person who was supposed to be the coach, left them high and dry so he could ref and make money. Then my 9 year old son wanted to play flag football this summer. He played 2 years ago and loved it so we were ok with trying again. The coach for the team decided to leave so one of the dads volunteered. It's very obvious they do not run background checks because this guy was horrible with kids. After 1 practice my son begged to never have to go again. He said the coach yelled and cursed at them. I took him to the game anyway to give the coach the benefit of the doubt. Within 10 minutes my son was in tears from the way the coach treated them and I was livid. It was so bad that 3 other dads (my husband included) went to stand with the kids during the game to keep an eye on the situation. After that we never made our son go back again. I would ask for a refund but honestly, at this point, I just want to be away from this organization. read more

After registering, I never could get ahold of anyone to find out the date the program started, the shirts we ordered never came, no details what so ever. After 3 calls and an email, I got ahold of someone who said I could request to be refunded for my registration. A month passed and I have had zero responses from anyone. Meanwhile, I enrolled my son in Centex Storm Soccer Club! We immediately got information about practice and when the season starts. We also have had no issues reaching anyone there; I'm still waiting on a refund two months later. I found this place off of a flyer from my kids school. Don't let them fool you into a "seasonal" game. They start the season at the end of the season. Soccer season starts in March. They constantly email you saying to hurry up and sign up before the season starts in late April. By then most other organizations have played about a month already. I found that out through a rec center that said they started theirs in march and we're booked full and not accepting anymore players. That's when I dug more into why they were starting so late. They're unorganized. Have no teams or enough players so they push it back until the season is almost over and still make you pay full price. They Cancel constantly. There's only 4 players on a team and very few teams to play. I was supposed to get a refund and still have not received it. They said they sent it but it was not sent. You don't hear from a coach until end of season. Even the coach that eventually reached out said they've had problems as well with this organization and if you can get through the dysfunctional part that it would be okay. I don't know about you but I don't have time for dysfunction for my family. This place is a rip off of your money. You're better off going to a Rec center or ymca who can give you answers and put you immediately on a team. Now my son has to wait to get put in the rec center for practices. I'm very disappointed in this place. Such a let down and unorganized. read more

Do not waste your money with Centex. I payed 130$ for my son to play flag football and the experience was horrible. Practice locations changed the day of with 30 mins notice. My son never received his Jersey that I payed for and team pictures were never received! save your money and time and go with Pop Warner. Really anything but Centex for a good experience.
