The teachers are all so attentive to each child. They have so many areas with activities and huge outside play areas. Every meal and snack is healthy for the kids. They have appropriate nap times and bed times. The staff is always available to talk with you any time you want to discuss anything. My four year old has learned so much since she has been there and has so much fun every day. And my baby loves to go here. She reaches for them when I drop her off and never cries. My four year old had some health issues and dietary restrictions when she was younger, and the staff at Southwest Child Care were a life saver working with us through everything. Of course disgruntled employees will have nothing nice to say, but as a mother who has trusted these people with my children for years, I can say I would not send my kids anywhere else!

She is always busy, and the staff are fully engaged with the kids. The current Site Director at Comanche ES, Josh R., is amazing and just seems to "get" kids. But maybe even more impressive was the reaction of the central office several years ago when I was disappointed with the past Site Director. They immediately engaged with her to provide direction and assistance. Did it make everything perfect? No, but it was improved and they really tried to help without making me feel bad. But the best review? My daughter wants to go every day during the summer instead of sleeping in and playing video games!

The two main problems we experienced with this daycare - 1. there is a lot of dishonesty and shady behavior regarding money - it is clearly their sole concern and 2. children safety and supervision is severely lacking. First, the money. There were several instances in which we were given incorrect tuition and fee information, repeatedly, by administrative staff only to find out the fees were much more upon required payment. We were among many families who received this tuition information - which is a huge deciding factor when choosing a daycare - only to find out when payment was requested that the tuition was actually higher. No apologies were issued, no courtesy credits or compromises given to make things right for the families who had budgeted for the prior amount. We escalated this to Crystal, hoping she would offer some sort of a solution, explanation or further our understanding of the miscommunication and how it can be avoided moving forward. She offered no explanation or apology. She sat in our meeting with her arms crossed and a smirk on her face. She told us that if she were to honor the price we were given by her staff (on multiple, separate occasions over the course of several months) then SHE WOULD HAVE TO FIRE SOME OF HER TEACHERS at the center because she wouldn't be able to afford the $100-$200 dip in revenue per month. Her offered solution was if we didn't like the new secret price we could find a new daycare. This cold and dismissive response - along with the insulting, blatant lie about having to fire teachers to rectify the situation, from the Owner/Executive Director of the daycare (not to mention COUNCIL MEMBER OF THE EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND CARE DEPARTMENT AND TREASURER OF THE NEW MEXICO CHILD CARE AND EDUCATION ASSOCIATION) was absolutely appalling. The dishonesty and lack of concern should have been insight enough as to the type of establishment this was -despite the beautiful quote about God leading the daycare in the entryway. But we found a way to pay the higher tuition since our child had already been established and we didn't want to uproot. Throughout our time there, we were consistently harassed to purchase expensive Gala tickets to support one of Crystal's causes, as well as 5k tickets and other fundraisers that I have a very low level of trust and confidence as to where the money was actually going, given our experience. Now, to the child safety and lack of supervision. Our young child was bullied often in the classroom as well as on the playground. In the classroom, there was one child in particular who hit, bit, shoved, screamed, etc, at our child among others. Of course, I am a parent and fully understand that these things happen with small children. The issue was brought to the attention of the teacher multiple times, as our child was consistently coming home with marks. We were told they would try to keep this child away from our child, but there wasn't much they could do. We were also told that the bully had autism and his behavior was CAUSED by our child, because our child was too loud and the bully was sensitive to noise. Our child also ran into some bullying on the playground, as the small children were let out on the playground at the same time as the older kids and after-school program kids. Again, nothing they could do. Crystal often had media on the daycare campus to interview her or promote one of her causes/fundraisers - often on the playground. I wonder if less effort went in to her self-promotion, and more effort went into the supervision of our children, if there would have been less incidents. I am grateful, however, for our experience with Crystal and her family/staff, as we have learned in great detail what we would like to avoid at all costs in future daycares and schools.

We have noticed that the well-being and education of the children in their care is not their top priority and that they seem more focused on making money. We have also observed that NMELA mistreats their good teachers while putting poor-performing family members in charge of the facility. It is concerning that they do not have enough teachers to adequately watch over the children, despite advertising a low student-teacher ratio. We highly recommend entrusting your children's care to qualified professionals who prioritize their well-being and education. Unfortunately, NMELA appears to be more concerned with their public image than fulfilling their role as an educational institution. Noah's ark is professionally-managed. It is suspicious that reviews for NMELA are under Noah's Ark.

I started noticing marks on him. I started to question him. He told me that his teacher Cynthia slapped him in the face and punched him and he told me that his teacher touched his private part and he showed me exactly what she did. Cynthia has had previous allegations. I heard the director talking to another teacher saying that this was not the first time Cynthia had done this, but most parents were too scared to report her. I filed a police report and I am pursuing pressing charges. I would never trust this location to watch your children. Cynthia has something against the director Dianna and that's why she's not being fired. I told Dianna that I had issues with Cynthia and she did not seem surprised at all. She was dismissive about what had happened with my son even tho he had the same story and had the parks to prove it. The teachers are constantly on their phone. Cynthia tries to bully you as a parent and she didn't like it when she could not bully me so she started giving me dirty looks, however I will say the kinder care in eagle ranch is amazing the director runs it very different and they are amazing and do amazing with the kids.

I found the YMCA Early Childhood Development Center Daycare through a coworker. I needed interim…read morecare for my 19 month old toddler because we lost our other sitter to a day job, and we were still on a waiting list for a daycare/preschool closer to home. The Y had an opening, and we went. Well, I am really glad that we did. The carers are awesome, they all made a fuss over my son everyday, which was great. They have a little report card they give you at the end of the day so you have some idea how your kidlet ate, napped and generally did during the day. The staff are fun, friendly and have a really good sense of humor, which I really appreciate. They made sure all the kids were fed often, and were prompt to change diapers. My son never had any issues with rashes or other diaper stuff. Pros: The staff are great, very engaged with the kids, and my son was always relaxed and happy at the end of the day. They got to play a lot of games, there's a big space and not too many kids (15 total) for the number of caregivers (3 at any time). They have the same people there, so the kids have consistency in caregivers too, which I really like. They did different activities, painting, drawing, singing, and just playing. Cons: the only con was that the outdoor area isn't ideal. It's in an office building so the outdoor space is concrete. There are foam pads on the ground, so the kids won't get scrapes when they fall, and there's lots of toys, but it's still concrete. I think given the location, and the awesome staff, that isn't a terrble thing for me. Overall, I do recommend YMCS downtown daycare. They are really convenient, really nice and reasonably priced, too!

He has learned so much and is thriving in his Pre-K class. I would recommend this daycare to anyone who is looking for a place to keep their children safe and in a loving environment. The best part of this daycare is the relationship between Joshua and his teachers Ms. Mariah, Ms. Nadia and Ms. Holly, they all have an important role in Joshua's everyday care and have taught him so much. One of the main reasons for choosing this daycare is Ms. Ethel because of her daily hugs, kisses and love she gives to each and every child. Her and Mrs. Jenny will take care of all your concerns and needs, they are what keeps the daycare together.
