I couldn't have been more happy!!! To book, I emailed the owner and placed a $125 deposit and then $125 was due upon arrival. This was for a 2 hour reservation. In my opinion, this is very reasonable, competitive with other venues, and WELL worth it :) Upon arrival, the owner was so pleasant! She showed us around and let us know that if we needed anything, to just ask. For example, extra plates, napkins, or serving tools. She explained the time would be sectioned in two categories. The first hour would be for the kids to play and be led in play. Then, the next hour, would be for food and opening presents. Everyone had such a good time watching their little ones play! She had so many things for the kids to do. *Beware, the outside is not the most presentable. However, upon walking in, it is very clean, well decorated, organized, and everything else good!! They offer other services, which I am definitely interested in. So, I'll have to follow them on social media, because I definitely want to go back :)

The space is clean, bright, and super inviting, and it's clear that the staff really cares about creating a safe, fun environment for the kids. Not only did my son have so much fun every time, but he also learned a lot -- from following directions to social skills, movement, and coordination. It's the perfect mix of play and early learning. Watching him come home happy and full of energy (and ready for a nap!) is the best part. I can't recommend this class enough for anyone looking for a positive, engaging activity for their little one. We're so grateful for the Bounce n Boogie team!

His raincoat was stolen. His group leaders were too lazy to walk to boys to the bathroom, and instructed them to go in the woods. Boys were both pooping and urinating behind the cabin. They also had to change in their sleeping bags, again, because the leader didn't want to walk them to the changing rooms. He reported that the bathrooms had poop everywhere, and that they were asked to scrub urinals and the inside of toilets with a washcloth. He was only able to take two showers during the entire week. His leader consistently forgot to give him his medicine. And, when they went on the overnight trip, he forgot their food, so from lunch on Wednesday to lunch on Thursday he had only one bagel to sustain him. He was bullied, the leaders in his cabin and boys were constantly swearing,  and his sister found him in tears every night. He was not permitted to call me when he asked to do so. I am deeply troubled because not a single caring adult checked in on him, he was neglected, and the facility is in shambles.  We will never, ever attend another camp put on by this YMCA.

Character building, friendship making, and pushing themselves beyond previously-set boundaries are just some of the things you can expect your child to experience. I highly recommend Camp Shaver for anyone looking to give their child(ren) the opportunity to unplug and see what's out there in the world around them.

There are so many very interesting immersive Hands-On experiences. Our little one just squealed and laughed with joy. They left today to go back to Phoenix and she was crying that she wanted to go back and play with the bubbles. She'll have to wait till next year until they visit again.

Weekdays attract a different mix of families, and the experience improves dramatically. The exhibits are engaging, and my kiddo could happily stay at the bubble station on repeat. There is food on site, bathrooms are clean, and the staff is genuinely kind. As a parent, it is refreshing to have interactive museums like this in town. Adults can enjoy the activities too, but this space is designed for kids of all ages. During peak weekend hours, letting children take the lead makes the experience better for everyone. Only took one star because I wish there was more staff interaction- for times with children are not always kind & parents who are not paying attention. It's not ok for a stranger to get involved, so it would be nice if staff monitored just a little more. Still wondering if this is a museum dig or community parenting issue. You be the judge. 9/10 recommend!
