Lovely table setup
Joy G.

We had our holiday staff party there and everything was absolutely perfect, the venue is gorgeous. The service was outstanding and Moe and his crew were on top of everything. The food was cooked to perfection. Everyone loved the ambiance and said it was the best party we ever had. I highly recommend having an event at Central by X2O!

Celebrated our parents 55th wedding anniversary here last weekend, and I'm so happy with how everything went. The food was delicious (as it always is from X2O!), and the venue has everything you need for a nice celebration, like surround sound for music, and a large monitor for a slideshow. Thanks so much Taha for your help every step of the way, and for accommodating all of our requests! Also thank you Isaac and the rest of the Central/X2O team, service was wonderful from beginning to end.

This year we got the usual great lineup but instead of the DIY style show in a parking lot, Professor Vic moved it to the Cathedral. Located right off Garey, The Cathedral is tough to miss. There's plenty of street parking on Center St and there's also a small parking lot across the street. This used to be a YMCA but it looks like an old church with dark wood flooring, high ceilings and stained glass windows. A very cool venue. How did it sound? Loud. Extremely loud. They also had a huge video board which gave each band a little extra hot sauce. There were a couple of bars in the back and you could also order food. It's air conditioned in there but between the heat (100+ outside at the time) and the amount of bodies inside, it was at least bearable. Mosh for Youth was great as always and while I loved the DIY ethos in the past this felt like a leap forward. The sound, look and venue made this feel big time. I hope future MFY shows take place here...until they maybe outgrow this place too, which would mean more scholarships for the kids. Highly recommended!

The Haven is a 125 capacity space with brick walls and wood laminate floors. It's a pretty cool picture when you walk in. The Haven used to host all sorts of music but in recent times they've dialed back on hosting hardcore punk shows because people can't control themselves. But if you're interested in all sorts of alternative bands there's still something here for you. Absolutely no alcohol on premises but you can get water. Security is pretty cool and aren't afraid to kick folks out for acting a fool. Parking is anywhere you'd park if you were going to the Fox or Glass House. The Haven is an awesome venue and I hope they start to host hardcore punk shows more often but I don't blame for putting down a pause. That said the sound is real good and it's an awesome place to see your favorites up close. Check their IG for upcoming events if this sounds like your vibe. Highly recommended!

There's plenty of parking so I don't think it would be a struggle no matter time of night. The place itself is your average Joe bar. Plenty of seating both tables and booths. They are 21+ up only! They also are reservation priority! Service was great! Our server Jared was very attentive to our party. Constantly checking on us, making sure we had everything we needed. He made sure our glasses weren't empty. He did a great job. Entertainment was awesome! The piano players are super talented, funny and lively. They had great stage presence! I really enjoyed it! Food was average bar food, but let's be real, they're not known for their food. We had the cheddar bacon curly fries and they're the type of food you want once you start drinking alcohol. So really, this place is doing its job. The food wasn't top tier but it definitely caters to crowds need. If you love a loud environment, good music, and dancing this is the place for you. Be prepared for some dark humor. But be prepared to have fun. They honor all different types of celebrations. I would definitely say check this place out and give it a shot! Tons of fun!

I didn't actually come to drink and dance, I came for a memorial show for a beloved local musician…read more It wasn't a somber occasion but a tribute to a good guy who enjoyed ear shredding live music. Needless to say I thought the Flyway was an interesting choice of venue for this occasion. Located near the rooftop in the same building as the Fox Theater, you'll see the entrance off Garey. Parking is abundant and can be a bit pricey if you want to park in the closest lot between the Fox and the bank. I paid $25 because I was feeling a bit lazy. After walking up 4-5 flights of stairs (there is an elevator available) you'll find yourself in a nicely decorated room with wooden floors, couches along the wall and colorful lighting. Got that old tyme speakeasy vibe (but no piano music.) The bar is near where you enter. There were a few hiccups in the sound, probably because this place doesn't seem to have live music that often. Or it was on the musicians themselves (there were 11 bands that played, mostly way younger than I). But overall the sound was pretty good. I always have earplugs in but if I forgot them at home I wouldn't have lost much sleep. I didn't drink anything alcoholic but the bartenders were keeping the water cups going. That was very appreciated because with the amount of people moving it got warm on occasion. They also have a smaller balcony with a nice view of Garey and other parts of downtown Pomona. Would I come back for the nightclub? No. I'm too old for that lol. But another live show? Sure why not. You can never be too old for live music.

We showed up about 30 minutes before doors opened and on this night there was still parking directly across the street but if it was full there seems to be other lots close but. It was $30 for a Friday night show. The line to get in wasn't too long and door time was pretty accurate maybe 5/10 minutes late but no big deal. The security was pretty fast too. Basic security if you been to any concert recently. Take all your stuff out of your pocket and as long as you don't have anything suspicious you will be good to go. Merch was on the left and right side when you got in and there is a bar also right when you get in. I'm not sure if this is for every show but for this one there was a difference for general admission and general admission pit. We had pit tickets and this got you in the section right in front of the stage. There is a security guard who checks your ticket and you get a wristband so if you leave you can come back. There is also a bar right in this section which is nice so you don't have to leave. If you don't have pit tickets the next sections behind are all first come so if you want a closer and better view you would need to arrive right when doors open or earlier if it is a popular show. There are also seats upstairs. I didn't get to see how the view is from up there but the venue is not too big so I'm sure it is a great view up stairs and good for people who don't want to stand all concert and prefer to have a seat. The sound was good and as mentioned since we had pit tickets the view was really good. The one thing that I didn't like and can be an issue if maybe you are drinking a lot or just need to use the restroom, is that the only restroom was upstairs. Or if there was one downstairs I never saw it and no one directed me to those. They are located up stairs and are quite a mission once the venue gets packed. This venue is a little out of my way but if an artist I really wanted to see was only performing here I wouldn't hesitate to purchase tickets and come here again.

The pit is very average. The real issue is on the back GA area. There's 3+ barricades. Only the people at the barricades get a good view. It was all standing and everyone was packed tight. To make things worse, the AC was not working or there wasn't any at all. The heat was almost tangible. On a positive note, the bars have easy access on all sections.

We were wearing tank tops and got denied entry at first for no real reason. It felt weirdly targeted and just left a bad taste before we even got inside. Once we got in (after realizing we were actually in the wrong line), the place was dead. Like... no one dancing, barely any energy, people just sitting around. It felt awkward more than anything. They also charge $30 cash only at the door. No credit cards. If you don't have cash, you're stuck using their ATM. That alone was annoying. Most of the tables were reserved and overall the vibe just wasn't it. Definitely not worth the money. I wouldn't come back and wouldn't recommend it either. If you're choosing between this and the club next door, go to Flexx Nightclub instead. Way more fun and actually feels like a club.

Very friendly staff, and everyone had a good time and the crowd was well-behaved . Drinks are at those 'surge prices' however, I clumsily tripped on the stairs and spilled my full $16 beer and staff was kind enough to refill my cup free of charge. The merch line spatially can be organized à bit better. It's a weird line that wraps around from the balcony to the ground stage. Really cheap parking nearby, but you have to download an app, so make sure you have good connection. Lots of extra steps but it was only $2, so not bad! Despite circling around, it was not as easy to get parking like the other down town city concert venues that we've gone to, but no biggie. It was literally right across the street from the venue. We went to go and see the Japanese visual kei band, Jiluka, and people were lined up almost 10 hours before the concert started (vibes for SoCal way different than that of NorCal), so arriving 2 hours before the concert started, unless I shoved myself and moshed to the front, I knew it was cooked, but I got a really good spot on the second floor balcony and the staff was nice enough to point out where to stand to get a great view. Restrooms and the merchandise tables were all on the second floor. The back of the first floor was a bar and in the entrance to the side was also a bar too, I think. Security is way tighter here than all of the other 3 venues I went to to go see concerts during the week, so I'm sure shenanigans have occurred. No canned drinks in certain areas, no chains (definitely warranted this warning since lots of people dressed alt for this show and had to go return things to their cars, etc.), and no re-entry after the concert was over, so we couldn't get the Chiikawa Jiluka freebie that someone was passing out. Boo! The concert stage is bizarrely in the corner, but the sound quality was nice enough. I was definitely able to hear the vocalist better at this venue than I was at the NorCal stop, but the lighting was definitely better at the last event. Even though I didn't risk it in the pit this time, I walked out when people were still there and if I was there during the concert, even with my elevated shoes, it would be much more difficult to view the stage than at the other venues that I've been to. It definitely got super crowded and unlike the other venues, there's also a gap between the crowds and the stage, so security was definitely making sure people weren't crowd surfing onto the stage, but it also meant that when the artist threw something in the crowd, some of them had to jump down, grab it, and try again. My biggest qualm was how HOT it was. Even from the second floor balcony, near a fan, and with it not being super crowded up there, I was sweating. I can't imagine what it's like for the people in the pit. Overall, not awful, but there's better venues out there in SoCal.
