Valet service for the car was great, as there isn't really anywhere else to park unless you're interested in a long walk. Every staff member I came into contact with was professional and more than friendly. The room was well appointed and very comfortable. I had a direct view of the ocean right out my sliding glass door to the private balcony off my room. There was a great outdoor sitting and entertainment area between the hotel and the beach. It was loaded with seating and fire pits and sun umbrellas and was a great place to sit and chill with a drink and good friends. The price was extreme, but I chalked that up to car show gouging. The hotel restaurant was okay. Nothing special and featured mostly Hispanic styled dishes. In the evenings they sell Smores kits so you can make them while you sit by the fire pits. There was a pool and spa and a workout room. The surrounding town is loaded with (mostly) surf shops and good restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel for any special occasion.

The outside bar is under construction... wasn't too bad, but they also didn't provide a slight compensation for the eyesore in the middle of their grounds. The pool is tiny.... Enough said. Driveway is a completely catastrophic and tight. - especially if people don't know how to keep the cars moving along. Valet parking is $50/day ... better off staying at neighboring hotels that have free parking!! (Where other friends and family members stayed) Suffice it to say... better off staying at other hotels. This place is a membership campground so you can't request specific sites if you aren't a member. This park is packed with lots of trucks parked along every street with everyone having fun. Each site is gravel with green belts behind. There is tons of green grass and poop bag stands everywhere. The laundry is $2.50 to wash and $2.50 to dry. There is a restaurant with a bar. You can eat inside or out in front. Nice looking arcade, mini golf, shuffle board, horse shoes and a few places that give you access to the beach. The staff said hello everytime they drove by. We had a great time! Pismo Pier is three blocks to the left and there is a 7-11 across the street. We also went to a cool dinner show called Great American Melodrama. There is a coupon in you map booklet. Good chips and salsa at Old Juans Mexican Restaurant too.

Then he accused me of trying to leave with out paying. What an idiot! After a yelling match I was able to start my payment process with the laughable lady who was in an ozone. While handing her my I.D. and credit card the idiot security guard reached over the laughable ladys shoulder and snatched my license from the cashier....wtf.....I asked for it back....nope ....left the office to go after the turd and took back my license. After having some security head trying to keep me out. Ha! Long story short the establishment is very nice the idiots representing the establishment not so much. They will NEVER get another nickel from me.

Great place to stay, however they are closed for remodeling with no dates for reopening. At first…read morethey said just a few months but they have been closed for over a year. I have called them every two months over the past year to ask when they will reopen and they always answer, "Oh next month", but they never do. The last time we were in Pismo we had to stay somewhere else and we miss this inn. Hopefully their prices and service will remain the same after reopening, if they ever do reopen. All rooms are ocean front with great views. Pool is decent but seagulls, ducks and other birds are seen floating in it often. It is a no frills inn and the price is reflected as such and I hope they don't change that. We also love that it is self-park with parking spaces that are very wide, as they should be for loading and unloading luggage. Open soon Kon Tiki! We miss you!

Unfortunately for the Resort at 10:45 pm a large leak began from the room above us into our bathroom so we had to be moved. We stayed in a first-floor ocean view room since we had a service animal, and the room size was great. The grounds are well-kept, there's convenient beach access, and I loved that they have an adults-only hot tub--that was a nice touch. The person who checked us in was also very kind and welcoming, which set a great first impression. Unfortunately, things went downhill that night. Our upstairs neighbors were stomping loudly for hours. Around 8 PM, I called the front desk to let them know, and I was told they would reach out to the room--but nothing changed. By 10 PM, the noise was still going, so I called again. This time, instead of resolving the issue, I felt like we were being questioned. We were told the guests upstairs said they were already in bed, which didn't line up with what we were clearly hearing. The situation was frustrating enough that I tried to get their attention by tapping on the ceiling, which then got turned back on us as a complaint. When we asked about switching rooms, we were told the hotel was sold out and we'd have to wait until the next day--which I understand--but the way it was handled by the manager was disappointing. There was no apology, no empathy, and the tone came off dismissive and rude, which made the situation worse. I really wanted to love this place because the location and property are great, but customer service matters, especially when issues come up. Because of that experience, I'd think twice about staying here again.
