Almost never a Hold'em game, only Omaha & Big-O hi/lo split. If that's what you like, then this is the place for you.

Bathrooms and showers are kept clean, tidy, and well stocked which I love. The general vibe of this place is calm and relaxing, so if you want a nice peaceful getaway this is the spot. There is no loud partying going on here. Super close to the beach and shops, and walking distance to a butterfly sanctuary walk.

So,…read morehere's the story: I called and made a reservation for a month, and within 2 HOURS, I had a family emergency requiring a change in my plans. Unfortunately I had already made a $500 deposit (signing nothing, and with no advice as to their terrible "no refund" policy). Within 2 1/2 hours I called and cancelled my reservation, and was THEN told about the No Refunds policy with no "grace" period! What? I called my bank, and told them that I had received NO goods, NO services, NO respect, NO value, for my $500. Fortunately Visa Card has now given me credit, and I hope "spanked " Le Sage Riviera for doing this to me! So, my advice is - be VERY wary of these folks, and make no commitment to them until you have the whole picture IN WRITING of what the policies might be.

Valet service for the car was great, as there isn't really anywhere else to park unless you're interested in a long walk. Every staff member I came into contact with was professional and more than friendly. The room was well appointed and very comfortable. I had a direct view of the ocean right out my sliding glass door to the private balcony off my room. There was a great outdoor sitting and entertainment area between the hotel and the beach. It was loaded with seating and fire pits and sun umbrellas and was a great place to sit and chill with a drink and good friends. The price was extreme, but I chalked that up to car show gouging. The hotel restaurant was okay. Nothing special and featured mostly Hispanic styled dishes. In the evenings they sell Smores kits so you can make them while you sit by the fire pits. There was a pool and spa and a workout room. The surrounding town is loaded with (mostly) surf shops and good restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel for any special occasion.

The outside bar is under construction... wasn't too bad, but they also didn't provide a slight compensation for the eyesore in the middle of their grounds. The pool is tiny.... Enough said. Driveway is a completely catastrophic and tight. - especially if people don't know how to keep the cars moving along. Valet parking is $50/day ... better off staying at neighboring hotels that have free parking!! (Where other friends and family members stayed) Suffice it to say... better off staying at other hotels. This was not worth the price. Would I go back? Likely NOT

This place is a membership campground so you can't request specific sites if you aren't a member. This park is packed with lots of trucks parked along every street with everyone having fun. Each site is gravel with green belts behind. There is tons of green grass and poop bag stands everywhere. The laundry is $2.50 to wash and $2.50 to dry. There is a restaurant with a bar. You can eat inside or out in front. Nice looking arcade, mini golf, shuffle board, horse shoes and a few places that give you access to the beach. The staff said hello everytime they drove by. We had a great time! Pismo Pier is three blocks to the left and there is a 7-11 across the street. We also went to a cool dinner show called Great American Melodrama. There is a coupon in you map booklet. Good chips and salsa at Old Juans Mexican Restaurant too.

We stayed in a first-floor ocean view room since we had a service animal, and the room size was great. The grounds are well-kept, there's convenient beach access, and I loved that they have an adults-only hot tub--that was a nice touch. The person who checked us in was also very kind and welcoming, which set a great first impression. Unfortunately, things went downhill that night. Our upstairs neighbors were stomping loudly for hours. Around 8 PM, I called the front desk to let them know, and I was told they would reach out to the room--but nothing changed. By 10 PM, the noise was still going, so I called again. This time, instead of resolving the issue, I felt like we were being questioned. We were told the guests upstairs said they were already in bed, which didn't line up with what we were clearly hearing. The situation was frustrating enough that I tried to get their attention by tapping on the ceiling, which then got turned back on us as a complaint. When we asked about switching rooms, we were told the hotel was sold out and we'd have to wait until the next day--which I understand--but the way it was handled by the manager was disappointing. There was no apology, no empathy, and the tone came off dismissive and rude, which made the situation worse. I really wanted to love this place because the location and property are great, but customer service matters, especially when issues come up. Because of that experience, I'd think twice about staying here again.

I would say a mix between people that work in the area looking for cheap housing and permanent trailers that never leave. There's also only about 6 to 7 feet worth of room between the trailers on Bakersfield, which is absolutely ridiculous and not even to standard code of 10 feet. So don't think you will camp here and walk to the beach or even to any stores. 2. The hook ups are nice. Bring your own fire ring. 3. I personally thought the staff was great. I saw one staff member correcting a camper- but they deserved it and I am very glad they actually will say something. 4. Your Verizon coverage "can" work but is dependent on the number of people that are using it in the area. Thats not the campgrounds fault. Verizon works great until a million others log on. 5. Horseback riding available. The not so good: 1. Cramped! You are in here like sardines. 2. Not the easiest to get in or out. 3. Its possible to smell the sewage in certain places around the clubhouse. Yuck! 4. The neighbors are close. Really close. You will hear the music and conversations. They weren't bad at all, but be aware. 6. No fire rings. 7. Some of the permanent residents are like sanford and son. You will see some of that. This place isnt bad. Its not great. If they revamped the place and gave it a complete makeover with larger sites and fewer people- I would pay a lot of money to stay here.
