DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!!!!! Our 8 month old baby girl was admitted to the hospital Thursday night due to her fighting 3 serious viruses. We had plans of taking a little family vacation to Pismo. We were suppose to stay at Seacrest Oceanfront Hotel Pismo Beach. Unfortunately circumstances changed that were out of control and had to cancel our reservation last minute. We tried getting a refund or credit, however this hotel shows zero compassion towards this situation. The assistant manger, Heidi denied the refund. We've been having to take time away from caring for our 8 month old baby at bedside to call this hotel and we dont even get a call back!!! We called today and spoke with front desk supervisor and again, they showed no empathy to the situation. It's really disappointing that companies/management have no humanity. I advise you to not book with this hotel.

Well, we found ourselves back at the SeaCrest for a family trip. Just like our previous stay here, this was quite the experience. We spent our days walking down on the beach and into town, and our evenings in the hot tubs. It was a bit busier this time around likely due to Spring Break, but it didn't feel overly packed. Pismo and SeaCrest will likely be a family tradition for us, for years to come!

OMG Adrian is THEE BEST! He gave us the best anniversary gift ever by giving us such a wonderful room with an ocean view. Thank you for making our anniversary a memorable one. The facility and grounds are just to die for! I can't wait to spend the next 5 days here. We stayed in room 311 and would def recommend it.

Always love coming to Pismo Beach! I've stayed at SeaCrest before but this time we stayed in the ocean-front room, so our view was amazing. It was definitely really relaxing as there's fire pits outside as well as swimming pool/jacuzzi, bean bag toss, and direct access to the beach. I also really appreciated the free ice cream and $10 credit as we booked that hotel to celebrate my dad's birthday this past weekend. There were also complimentary cookies every couple of hours but they quickly get snatched up. It's a very dreamy stay for sure- and for the price you pay, it's very worth. However, I did have some things that made the stay not as memorable, specifically the room itself. The outlets closest to our bed didn't work, the shower valve took really long for the water to heat up/(I think it was installed incorrectly as the OFF sign was upside down?), and the hot water tasted really bad, worse than tap water. Complimentary breakfast was also alright- the food was decent for a hotel but they ran out of orange juice in two hours. Overall, I enjoyed the stay as it was very restful and relaxing with the ocean views, but I think my experience at ShoreCliff hotel was a tad better.

Dawn was helpful with the hotel phone not working and an issue with new lightbulb. Juan from maintenance was there and was able to fix. Check out at 8am was worse than check in, Kimberly had no customer service skill, bad attitude, so early ? No thanks for staying? Not sure why front office would hire such a sour attitude staff. Hire more Dawns !

Booked the deluxe double king room with a beautiful Victoria window seating area, and it was absolutely worth it. The hotel offers direct access to the beach along with nearby hiking trails, which made our stay active and refreshing. The fire pits and hot pool were such cozy touches, especially in the evenings. Everything felt safe and well taken care of, and the complimentary breakfast was a great start to each day. If you're looking for a relaxing yet adventure-friendly stay in San Luis Obispo, SeaCrest checks all the boxes!

Overall a nice getaway right in the bluffs above the ocean in Pismo Beach. The crescent-shaped layout surrounds a nicely landscaped, shared-space recreation area with outdoor grills, a pool, 3 hot tubs (one for the grownups) and gorgeous views. Closer towards the ocean are lounging couches and gas fire pits. It's very nice. They also serve a better-than-continental breakfast, with a hot food bar (sausages, pancakes and scrambled eggs), fruit options, yogurts, etc They also welcome dogs, and have plenty of pup friendly spaces and plenty of bag dispensers for nature's calling. The staff is friendly and they offer some alcohol for order at the front desk, though it needs to be room-delivered (probably a liability thing). The rooms are pretty nice. Some things need repair here and there (normal wear and tear stuff), I'd say the hallway carpet needs replacing, but who hangs out in the hallway? Free WiFi, though coverage, and speed isn't that great, and we frequently struggled to open websites, let alone stream content. This is probably our 5th or 6th visit here.

If staying in Pismo Beach, Sea Crest is a good choice if you are looking for some chill time and ocean front scenery. Pick either an ocean front or partial ocean view room. It's worth it. Though, even if you have a no view room, the property has so many outdoor areas where you can sit and enjoy views galore! There are fire pits, a BBQ area, nice pool, jacuzzis, and a roof top area too. We saw spouting whales far off into the distance. We had an ocean front room with balcony on the third floor. So relaxing as we viewed sunsets and listened to the ocean. We enjoyed using the outdoor BBQ. Something about the ocean air and outdoor setting-our BBQ'd meals were delicious! Breakfast comes with your stay. It was a simple offering. We walked the path from our hotel past other hotel properties along this stretch of road in Pismo. Sea Crest is by far the best maintained, clean and seemed to offer the most bang for your buck. Next time we will bring our pups with us.

We really lucked out with the weather in Pismo. It can be dreary all day. A little fog/marine layer in the morning but burned off by noon. This hotel is located well to visit the surrounding areas. Just a short drive to Avila Beach for lunch tacos at Custom House and some wine tasting at Alpay tasting room. 20 minute drive to Edna Valley Wineries (15) . Arroyo Grande and San Luis Obispo are very close. We liked this hotel being right on the beach. Beautiful views from our room balcony. They also have patio gas Grills that we used two nights for cooking dinner. Heated pool and separate private jacuzzi. Very impressive with the hotel and grounds. Restaurant is locaten across the parking lot. They'll deliver whatever you order to your room or any where on the hotel grounds. Definitely want to come back and stay at the SeaCrest again!

While I was in California I stayed at the SeaCrest Hotel in Pismo Beach. It was beautiful! My room was bright yet peaceful complete with a standard amenities, a fridge, a microwave, and my favorite - a balcony. I could walk right out and see the beach. In fact, at night with the breeze coming off the ocean I was able to keep my sliding glass door open. There was something so peaceful about falling asleep listening to the waves crashing against the shore. The SeaCrest is not just a hotel, but an experience. It's everything you think of when you think of California. They had breakfast every morning for us and you could eat outside. There was something very refreshing about starting the day with breakfast on the beach in the sea breeze. We were just down the beach from the Pismo Beach Pier and within a few miles of multiple restaurants and shops. We were also very close to the highway making it easy to visit up and down the coast.

Wonderful experience, the hotel is magical, the views are spectacular, the sunsets are incredible. What a little hidden gem. we were supposed to stay a couple of night and turned into a 5 day romantic getaway. Thank you for all the wonderful people who work here and especially Adrian at the front desk. He is very accommodating and nice to talk to . We are so happy that we're booking up our summer vacay again here.

Nice place, well located and why I picked to bring my dog for a 2 day birthday get away. On the site they offered only one option as dog friendly for $100 extra each night. When I arrivedI asked about the dog rooms and told they had 4 and that I was in the end nearest the pool. When I got to the room it was shoved in a corner with not the view of the picture and next to the housekeeping hub, so all day doors were slamming, noisy banter, walkie-talkies, and I had cleaning carts everywhere. When I walked out on the front property, dogs were everywhere and in every room !!! I inquired and was told that while they do have only 4 designated dog rooms, but if you brought your dog in a regular room they would charge a $200 cleaning fee...... so I could have had a better room and paid the same dog charge. So much for transparency on their and following rules on mine. At the end of my stay, not tryi bh to get anything, I tried to give feedback about how I feel I was given no other option when I specifically sought one out to the manager. The manager, who was also who checked me in, would not stick to the issue about the transparency and options, but wanted to go to the $200 that I had already said I would have happily paid. When I said transparency is important, he said well you signed the dog agreement form all about this only to find that he had not given me the form. As I said, this is unfortunate because the place is sweet and would have been exactly what I was hoping for if only the customer service was better.

Yes, we were there on New Year's the pool was open and outdoor dining was open in Pismo.

Is there a on-site restaurant/bar in the hotel overlooking the sea? Apart from the Willow restaurant that is next to it?

No but when we stayed there you could get the Willow food delivered at sit outside. There's a really good restaurant 5 min walk away though that you can eat at and look out over the ocean and watch the pelicans.

How is the WiFi? Is it strong enough for zoom calls?

It is. My daughter did one of her online classes via Zoom in the hotel room.

Are all the rooms air conditioned?

I heard this place is pet friendly. Has anyone traveled with dogs? Is there much to do in the area if I bring my dog?

This is an extremely friendly hotel towards dogs. Lots of people had them while I was there. The dogs can go directly onto the beach on a leash.

I was initially undecided between a few different options, but ultimately decided to stay at Beachcomber Inn. I made a reservation from Friday to Sunday. I had already received an email confirming that check-in would be at 4:00 PM on Friday. However, around 9:00 AM that same morning, I received a phone call informing me that no one had stayed in the room the night before, and that we were welcome to check in at any time without waiting until 4:00 PM. As we all know, most hotels charge extra fees for early check-in or late check-out, so receiving such a generous offer without even asking was truly surprising and very much appreciated. Unfortunately, due to work commitments, we were only able to arrive around 6:00 PM. When we got there, I learned that the person who had called me was the owner, Johnny. We had the chance to meet him in person--he is incredibly friendly, talkative, and genuinely welcoming. He personally showed us around our room, which made the experience even more special. The location of the hotel is outstanding. It's just about a block and a half away from the busy center of Pismo Beach, yet it is remarkably quiet. We had a very peaceful night's sleep, and the room temperature was perfect. Everything we needed was thoughtfully provided--there was a coffee machine with plenty of coffee pods, and the bathroom was fully stocked with essentials like shampoo and shower products. The room itself was spotless and in excellent condition. Additionally, the nearby beaches are only about a 10-minute drive away. We even went to the sand dunes and rode ATVs, which was an incredibly fun experience. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Pismo Beach. Check-out on Sunday was scheduled for 12:00 PM, but once again, Johnny reached out to let us know that no one was checking in after us. He kindly offered that we could check out anytime up until 6:00 PM if we wished. Just like the early check-in, this thoughtful gesture--offered without us even asking--was both surprising and deeply appreciated. He could have easily charged for this, but it was clear from the moment we met him that his priority is simply to provide excellent service and ensure his guests feel comfortable and happy during their stay. We would absolutely recommend staying at Beachcomber Inn when visiting Pismo Beach, and if you have the chance, meeting Johnny in person is truly a pleasure. From now on, we know that every time we visit Pismo Beach, we will choose to stay at this hotel without hesitation. Through this review, we would like to thank him once again and hope to see him again very soon.

When my in-laws asked if there was another guest with the same last name, the receptionist said no. They immediately called me, and when I spoke to her directly, she suddenly found our reservation right away. Despite this, she was rude and unhelpful and still would not allow my in-laws to check into our room. This property is overpriced for the experience. Upon arrival, we found hair on the bathroom floor, which immediately raised concerns about cleanliness. The pool is extremely small, and there were no clean towels available all weekend. We tried calling the front desk multiple times to ask about renting beach chairs--no answer. I called eight times in a row before walking down to the front desk, where I found the receptionist sitting there on his cell phone. There is no beach access, which was very disappointing. The so-called "kids play area" is completely run down and poorly maintained--furniture scattered everywhere, ping pong tables split in half, paddles thrown around. It looks nothing like what is shown online. The hotel is also extremely loud. You can hear people walking next door, above you, and all around--there is virtually no soundproofing. To top it off, our heater went out on the first night. Maintenance came at 9:00 pm and told us there was nothing they could do and no room available to move us to. Between the poor service, lack of cleanliness, misleading amenities, and constant noise, this hotel is simply not worth the price. This will be the last time I ever stay here, and I would not recommend this property to families or anyone looking for a relaxing or comfortable stay.

Because of the construction the checkin desk is just inside the door adjacent to the tiny elevator. I was standing at the check-in desk and it is so close to the automatic doors that they just stayed open and it was cold outside. The luggage carts need to be updated. This sound trivial but they are so small, old/worn and don't have hook at the top to hang anything which would have helped given how small they are. Once we checked in I asked about a luggage cart as there were none to be found and the check-in clerk was kind enough to radio the cleaning staff to see if anyone left a cart in a hallway or in their room when they checked-out (I was told it happens). Shortly thereafter a member of staff came running by me in the lobby and took the elevator upstairs. Little did I know it was to get me a luggage cart that was found my cleaning staff. I was grateful for the effort and made my way to the room. I paid for a Deluxe Pier & Ocean View. I would suggest you get an Ocean View and skip the Pier View. Our room was the farthest most away from the ocean front of the hotel and so I had a good view of the neighboring hotel and could hear the children playing in the pool...not very relaxing and was louder than the ocean waves. The other complaint was that on the 2nd floor, where my room was located, my door was immediately next to the breezeway or walkway that is completely open to the breakfast area below so each morning I heard people in the breakfast area. I saw a door that could be shut to separte the walkway from the guestrooms but it was open for my entire visit. The elevators are extremely small and only 1 luggage cart and 2 people would fit. It is very old, slow and needs to be replaced. While I didn't use it the pool is heated and kept very clean. They offer electric bikes for rent with the first hour free. For the cost of this hotel I would have expected updated rooms or a lower price. I am looking forward to when the construction is complete as I would like to check out the new rooms.

Great location, wonderful breakfast selection, spacious rooms, very quiet wall mounted aircon/heater. Clean rooms. Most of the rooms either face the cliff and ocean or are at an angle so you can see the ocean from your window and balcony. Great location for cliff walk and stairs down to the beach. Only one area for improvement, add timers for the gas firepits, as they use tanked propane and when we came to the 3 fire pits at night to use them, folks just left them on high and walked off.. so all fire pits were empty. Front desk said they would send maintenance to refill them, but at that point we just went back to the room. Short walk to some great restaurants.

The hotel is very dog friendly, offering welcome bags complete with treats for the dogs and dog beds if you want them. Nice large king rooms with plenty of space for 4 adults. Beds were comfortable enough. Not too firm or too soft. The different firmness of pillows was nice too. Nice seating area with a table and really enjoyed the fireplace. It got really hot! Definitely functional as well as ambiance. Fire pits outside were nice and the available smores kit was so fun. Beautifully views on the walking path and access to shell beach by several stairs. Now the needs improvement: The road noise at the front of the property is pretty significant. The toilets are VERY low even as a 5'3" person with a 28 inch inseam. My 6' tall husband REALLY disliked the toilets. The temperature regulation of the system in the room seemed to struggle. We often got cold at night despite having it set at 68 which should be more than comfortable. The blankets were also lacking. Lastly, there weren't enough places to hang bathing suits or towels to dry. That was really a struggle to get anything to dry because we just didn't have hanging options. Lastly the lighting could be improved. It felt really dated with the fluorescent light fixtures "tinking" on and the dim lights at night. Wasn't too bad during the day.

Valet service for the car was great, as there isn't really anywhere else to park unless you're interested in a long walk. Every staff member I came into contact with was professional and more than friendly. The room was well appointed and very comfortable. I had a direct view of the ocean right out my sliding glass door to the private balcony off my room. There was a great outdoor sitting and entertainment area between the hotel and the beach. It was loaded with seating and fire pits and sun umbrellas and was a great place to sit and chill with a drink and good friends. The price was extreme, but I chalked that up to car show gouging. The hotel restaurant was okay. Nothing special and featured mostly Hispanic styled dishes. In the evenings they sell Smores kits so you can make them while you sit by the fire pits. There was a pool and spa and a workout room. The surrounding town is loaded with (mostly) surf shops and good restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel for any special occasion.

They have a pool, hot tub, fitness room, and conference rooms with a capacity of about 100 people. Pequin, their restaurant and bar, serves mid Mexican and American food, but their cocktails are good! The room I had was spacious, clean, with modern nautical decor and overlooked the boardwalk and pier. The king bed was super comfy, blinds were dark, but the walls seemed a little thin. I could hear the slamming of nearby doors pretty loudly. Some areas around the pool were also under renovation. All the staff were incredibly kind and hospitable from the front desk, housekeeping, bartenders, servers and valet. Great place to hold a conference! The room rates were very reasonable with a large group and a contract!

This Boutique hotel has 50 something rooms, a good restaurant/bar and ocean facing balconies with Hot Tubs! This three story hotel is unique because first level is the parking garage, with the front desk through glass doors in the back. They have a little boutique and sitting area, with access to the beach. Second floor is rooms and third floor is the restaurant. The room was clean, great size and great view! The only negatives were it is a little on the older side, but still nice. And the Hot Tube was really shallow, you sit by having your feet straight out and you're on the bottom. Due to being so low, while you're in it, you can't see the ocean. The service in the hotel was good, no complaints. *Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place to anybody if they was to fully take in Pismo Beach*

The location is truly unmatched -- right on the sand with incredible sunset views. It felt like the perfect coastal getaway. The room was clean, well maintained, and very reasonably priced for what you get. The bed was comfortable (I personally prefer something a little firmer, but that's just preference). The highlight was definitely soaking in the hot tub while listening to the waves -- such a relaxing experience. The front desk staff was fantastic -- friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our stay. My only two minor complaints: the hot tub wasn't quite as deep as I personally would have liked, and our room was directly below the restaurant bar area on the third floor. In the mornings, we could hear dishes and some banging as they were setting up for the day, which woke us up earlier than we planned. If you're a light sleeper, I'd recommend requesting a room on the end of the hotel or away from the restaurant area. Overall, we would absolutely stay again -- the view and location are hard to beat.
