Decided to take my Mom on a mini Vacay to Pismo Beach. All I wanted was a beach front room with an incredible ocean view and that's exactly what I got. The Seacrest Ocean Front hotel is an absolute gem. From making the reservations over the phone to check in, the customer service was great. This hotel is very well kept and has free parking. However it does share with a restaurant at the entrance of the driveway so it can get full at times. Luckily, we were always able to find a place after coming back from a day of exploring. Beds were comfortable and the deck was perfect. We even had a seagull perched on the ledge on our last day. But let's talk about the view. It was absolutely STUNNING and worth every penny. This hotel does not have an on-site restaurant or bar, but you can get room service from the restaurant at the top of the parking lot. They also have a a bartender working outside of the lobby and she was so nice! Friendly and funny and just a great attitude. They offer $10 towards room service or drinks daily, which was nice and parking is free! The grounds are manicured beautifully and they have a pool and two hot tubs which were always in use. They also have several lawn games and direct access to the beach. I've never felt sand so soft under my toes. Next time we'll bring our beach chairs and make a full beach day of it. I absolutely loved this hotel and will definitely be coming back. read more

Overall, this hotel has a lot going for it, but the customer service completely changed my experience. The positives first: the property itself is really nice. We stayed in a first-floor ocean view room since we had a service animal, and the room size was great. The grounds are well-kept, there's convenient beach access, and I loved that they have an adults-only hot tub--that was a nice touch. The person who checked us in was also very kind and welcoming, which set a great first impression. Unfortunately, things went downhill that night. Our upstairs neighbors were stomping loudly for hours. Around 8 PM, I called the front desk to let them know, and I was told they would reach out to the room--but nothing changed. By 10 PM, the noise was still going, so I called again. This time, instead of resolving the issue, I felt like we were being questioned. We were told the guests upstairs said they were already in bed, which didn't line up with what we were clearly hearing. The situation was frustrating enough that I tried to get their attention by tapping on the ceiling, which then got turned back on us as a complaint. When we asked about switching rooms, we were told the hotel was sold out and we'd have to wait until the next day--which I understand--but the way it was handled by the manager was disappointing. There was no apology, no empathy, and the tone came off dismissive and rude, which made the situation worse. I really wanted to love this place because the location and property are great, but customer service matters, especially when issues come up. We decided to stay here and it was absolutely beautiful. Our room was overlooking the beach. We saw the beautiful sunset from our room. We were able to go outside and there was lots of beautiful sitting very clean. Absolutely loved it when we checked in. Customer service was a little iffy the girl working the desk was new. She wasn't very hospitable. She was kind of rude, but we went ahead checked in and got our room. We're able to park close we're able to use the little strollers they have to carry our things up. We were on the third floor. The room was very pretty very clean. Beds were comfortable ,water pressure in the shower was not too great. DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!!!!! Our 8 month old baby girl was admitted to the hospital Thursday night due to her fighting 3 serious viruses. We had plans of taking a little family vacation to Pismo. We were suppose to stay at Seacrest Oceanfront Hotel Pismo Beach. Unfortunately circumstances changed that were out of control and had to cancel our reservation last minute. We tried getting a refund or credit, however this hotel shows zero compassion towards this situation. The assistant manger, Heidi denied the refund. We've been having to take time away from caring for our 8 month old baby at bedside to call this hotel and we dont even get a call back!!! We called today and spoke with front desk supervisor and again, they showed no empathy to the situation. It's really disappointing that companies/management have no humanity. I advise you to not book with this hotel. read more

This is a great hotel., With great views. The rooms are excellent. There is some bad points staying here. If you are looking for a semi quiet, restful vacation, this is not your place. The place is overrun with children and dogs. The parents of the children just let them run wild like this is a school playground. they're playing football, soccer, rollerskating, and scooters. You have to be careful where you walk because of the children controlling the walk ways. Now the dogs, most of them are on leash's and do their business anywhere. Although their owners do pick up, it does leave residue on the grass and the children are barefooted and playing there. There should be a designated area for the dogs to go. The jacuzzi's were always full of kids with their toys. no one reads the sign about how long you must stay in the jacuzzi, We will return again because we did love the room and the views. read more

Stayed one night and overall it was comfortable, but didn't quite match the high nightly rate. Our room had a nice outdoor patio with comfy chairs and we loved the plantation shutters on the windows. The best part is the location - you're right on the beach, which is clearly what you're paying for. That said, the rooms didn't feel resort-level to me. The bed was comfortable, the shower was nice, but the sink had very little water pressure. The front desk staff at check-in were excellent, and the complimentary fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies were a thoughtful touch. Breakfast was decent with fresh fruit, breads, yogurt, juice, coffee, eggs, sausage, and cereal. Sitting outside on the patio to enjoy it was a nice way to start the day. Check out was easy! Always love coming to Pismo Beach! I've stayed at SeaCrest before but this time we stayed in the ocean-front room, so our view was amazing. It was definitely really relaxing as there's fire pits outside as well as swimming pool/jacuzzi, bean bag toss, and direct access to the beach. I also really appreciated the free ice cream and $10 credit as we booked that hotel to celebrate my dad's birthday this past weekend. There were also complimentary cookies every couple of hours but they quickly get snatched up. It's a very dreamy stay for sure- and for the price you pay, it's very worth. However, I did have some things that made the stay not as memorable, specifically the room itself. The outlets closest to our bed didn't work, the shower valve took really long for the water to heat up/(I think it was installed incorrectly as the OFF sign was upside down?), and the hot water tasted really bad, worse than tap water. Complimentary breakfast was also alright- the food was decent for a hotel but they ran out of orange juice in two hours. Overall, I enjoyed the stay as it was very restful and relaxing with the ocean views, but I think my experience at ShoreCliff hotel was a tad better. read more

Overall a nice getaway right in the bluffs above the ocean in Pismo Beach. The crescent-shaped layout surrounds a nicely landscaped, shared-space recreation area with outdoor grills, a pool, 3 hot tubs (one for the grownups) and gorgeous views. Closer towards the ocean are lounging couches and gas fire pits. It's very nice. They also serve a better-than-continental breakfast, with a hot food bar (sausages, pancakes and scrambled eggs), fruit options, yogurts, etc They also welcome dogs, and have plenty of pup friendly spaces and plenty of bag dispensers for nature's calling. The staff is friendly and they offer some alcohol for order at the front desk, though it needs to be room-delivered (probably a liability thing). The rooms are pretty nice. Some things need repair here and there (normal wear and tear stuff), I'd say the hallway carpet needs replacing, but who hangs out in the hallway? Free WiFi, though coverage, and speed isn't that great, and we frequently struggled to open websites, let alone stream content. This is probably our 5th or 6th visit here. read more

If staying in Pismo Beach, Sea Crest is a good choice if you are looking for some chill time and ocean front scenery. Pick either an ocean front or partial ocean view room. It's worth it. Though, even if you have a no view room, the property has so many outdoor areas where you can sit and enjoy views galore! There are fire pits, a BBQ area, nice pool, jacuzzis, and a roof top area too. We saw spouting whales far off into the distance. We had an ocean front room with balcony on the third floor. So relaxing as we viewed sunsets and listened to the ocean. We enjoyed using the outdoor BBQ. Something about the ocean air and outdoor setting-our BBQ'd meals were delicious! Breakfast comes with your stay. It was a simple offering. We walked the path from our hotel past other hotel properties along this stretch of road in Pismo. Sea Crest is by far the best maintained, clean and seemed to offer the most bang for your buck. Next time we will bring our pups with us. read more

We really lucked out with the weather in Pismo. It can be dreary all day. A little fog/marine layer in the morning but burned off by noon. This hotel is located well to visit the surrounding areas. Just a short drive to Avila Beach for lunch tacos at Custom House and some wine tasting at Alpay tasting room. 20 minute drive to Edna Valley Wineries (15) . Arroyo Grande and San Luis Obispo are very close. We liked this hotel being right on the beach. Beautiful views from our room balcony. They also have patio gas Grills that we used two nights for cooking dinner. Heated pool and separate private jacuzzi. Very impressive with the hotel and grounds. Restaurant is locaten across the parking lot. They'll deliver whatever you order to your room or any where on the hotel grounds. While I was in California I stayed at the SeaCrest Hotel in Pismo Beach. It was beautiful! My room was bright yet peaceful complete with a standard amenities, a fridge, a microwave, and my favorite - a balcony. I could walk right out and see the beach. In fact, at night with the breeze coming off the ocean I was able to keep my sliding glass door open. There was something so peaceful about falling asleep listening to the waves crashing against the shore. The SeaCrest is not just a hotel, but an experience. It's everything you think of when you think of California. They had breakfast every morning for us and you could eat outside. There was something very refreshing about starting the day with breakfast on the beach in the sea breeze. We were just down the beach from the Pismo Beach Pier and within a few miles of multiple restaurants and shops. We were also very close to the highway making it easy to visit up and down the coast. read more

Nice place, well located and why I picked to bring my dog for a 2 day birthday get away. On the site they offered only one option as dog friendly for $100 extra each night. When I arrivedI asked about the dog rooms and told they had 4 and that I was in the end nearest the pool. When I got to the room it was shoved in a corner with not the view of the picture and next to the housekeeping hub, so all day doors were slamming, noisy banter, walkie-talkies, and I had cleaning carts everywhere. When I walked out on the front property, dogs were everywhere and in every room !!! I inquired and was told that while they do have only 4 designated dog rooms, but if you brought your dog in a regular room they would charge a $200 cleaning fee...... so I could have had a better room and paid the same dog charge. So much for transparency on their and following rules on mine. At the end of my stay, not tryi bh to get anything, I tried to give feedback about how I feel I was given no other option when I specifically sought one out to the manager. The manager, who was also who checked me in, would not stick to the issue about the transparency and options, but wanted to go to the $200 that I had already said I would have happily paid. When I said transparency is important, he said well you signed the dog agreement form all about this only to find that he had not given me the form. As I said, this is unfortunate because the place is sweet and would have been exactly what I was hoping for if only the customer service was better. read more

Playing baseball in the outdoor area, making each other cry. We hesitantly passed by them to go to the lookout. I feared I'd get nailed in the head with a baseball on the way. No dress code for front desk. Low quality bathroom amenities. Only one makeup wipe. Breakfast area had a foul odor and the food was visually unappealing. We left to eat elsewhere. What made this trip extra special was bringing my laminated emotional support dog, Walter (yes, the Walter meme dog). He loved the hotel so much, he didn't even want to leave. He did have one adventure at the beach where he almost fell into the ocean, but luckily he's waterproof! The room was clean, comfy, and the staff were friendly. This place is far enough from the downtown crowed but close enough to all the festivities. Great pool, amazing view, and easy access to the beach. The only downside, for the price I was expecting top notch beds but these seemed to be the originals. Luckily, we were always outside enjoying the hotel or doing other activities so when we got back to the hotel we were sooo busy we just fell asleep. Below is my message to the SeaCrest staff after my 1st night stay. I reserved the most luxurious and spacious ocean front room with a balcony and a bay window. My room rate was $1802.25 for 5 nights. After sending the message below, I discovered that some key electrical outlets were out of order, and wifi wouldn't work on the balcony or bay window. The hotel was only able to offer me $50 off for my troubles, so I cut my long awaited trip from 5 to 3 nights. Nearly one month later, after management read my survey, they insisted they couldn't give me any more of a refund but offered a 25% discount and welcome package on a future stay. I declined. My txt message reply to staff: Good Morning. Thank you for checking in on me. I appreciate the fine hospitality. I'm sorry to share this unfortunate "report" with you. I will be as clear and brief as possible. First I'd like you to know that this is the first vacation I have taken in nearly 15 years except for necessary travel for weddings, birthdays or events. I did a lot of research before booking my special room at Sea Crest. Yesterday when I got to my room I was swept away by the view and sound of the ocean waves singing to me. I wasn't doing a room inspection. I got dinner to go from Blast and Brew and sat on the deck to eat. While there, I noticed some long black hairs on the deck. Kind of gross but not worth complaining about since it was outside. BTW I am blonde. I took a moment to use the toilet and while sitting there, noticed a pubic hair on the shower floor ~ so gross that I took a photo to show you. Later it was time to shower. I run the water until it warms and step into the shower. To my dismay there were MANY random black hairs on the floor and walls of the shower. It was so gross that I turned off the water, got out of the shower to get my phone to take photos so I didn't wash them down the drain. As if that wasn't bad enough, I went to brush my teeth and there was black hairs and whiskers in and around the sink. I have no whiskers. I am female. At sunset I opened the blinds to capture the beautiful night sky only to find one main ocean facing window blanketed with bird poop, and two exposed to the public (no privacy) ~ very different than the private, uninterrupted panoramic views shown on your website. I was (am) so disappointed and grossed out at all that I saw without wearing my glasses. I can't imagine what I might see if I inspect with my glasses on. I didn't complain last night because it had been a long day and I wanted to sleep on it. At this point I'm considering finding a new hotel to transfer to. I chose to spend a lot of money at Sea Crest for a quality room ~ but feel cheated. read more

Do not stay here! When booking, it told me I could get a refund if I cancel 48 hours before (which it also said on the confirmation email). When I went to cancel, they at first agreed but I checked my email and they did not refund me they just pushed my reservation up 6 months for some reason. Too many maintenance issues and a rude woman who works the 3pm to 11pm shift made our stay not as pleasant as usual. And we stayed in one of the most expensive rooms in the hotel. 1. Title 19 fire sprinkler violation in room ceiling due to no escutcheon in place. 2. Leaky pipes under the bathroom sink so bad we had to put a tray under it to keep it from leaking onto the floor. 3. Thermostat in room didn't work 4. No towels available at the pool or hot tubs in any of the bins. When we asked at the front desk about it, the woman very rudely said, "We don't have towels here in the lobby, we need to call maintenance and have them replenish." After an hour, there were still no towels. Many disappointed guests were angered by this. 4. Asked for their "Thirst Aid" delivery service and we had to cancel it because it was not delivered after an hour and a half wait. 5. Caulking in the shower was coming off. 6. Deadbolt on the door was very difficult to lock due to settling and needs to be adjusted. 7. No bottles of shampoo, conditioner or soap were provided in the wall mounted device in the shower. All 3 spots were just empty. 8. Found little crumbs of food left on the couch. 9. An old piece of a lime was left on our ice bucket tray. It had been there so long that it was dried out and shriveled up. Makes you wonder what else they don't clean. But.... The views are fantastic and the beach access is convenient. read more

We were really looking forward to making this our regular getaway spot, but unfortunately it isn't truly dog-friendly. The manager called to say they wanted to clean our room, and when I explained we were checking out the next day, she told me our dogs couldn't be left alone in the room even for an hour to go to lunch. We have two small, well-behaved 10-pound dogs who only bark if someone enters the room, so this policy was disappointing. When I tried to discuss it at the front desk, they showed me a long list of restrictions for guests with pets. Sadly, this won't be our "forever place" after all -- we'll be looking for a hotel that truly welcomes dogs. read more

Twas late night when we arrived here. Actually to be accurate, it was around 2am. The doors were locked but we were helped nonetheless by the nicest lady there was on a Saturday at 2am. She accomodated us and she was super friendly. I forgot her name but she was heaven sent on a tired driver. And she was so nice she even walked with us to see our room. The place seems to have been remodeled and it was fine! I have no gripes at all. Towels clean! Sheets clean! Everything orderly and complete for our needs. My husband and I stayed here for 1 night in April when visiting family. We splurged a little bit to get an ocean view room - we were not disappointed! The view and the grounds are beautiful. You can tell that it's an older hotel that was recently remodeled, which I like way better than some of the new hotels. For example, the bathroom was an actual room with tons of privacy. The room was spotless and had all the amenities we could have ever needed. We ate dinner at the restaurant in walking distance - only to find out later we could have ordered from the hotel. Next time! The morning breakfast was wonderful, there were so many options and the attendants made sure everything stayed stocked and everyone got a fair amount. Sitting outside, drinking coffee, and listening to the ocean was wonderful. We also went for a quick walk on the beach before checking out - which was a super easy and quick process. We splurge on an ocean front room (well worth it) and we're never disappointed. The rooms are immaculately clean and well appointed. My husband and I are currently staying here, and our room is not great. We booked a Coastal view which is not a great view, so that's on us! Unfortunately, our room smells so strongly of chlorine that I feel like I'm in the pool. Do NOT book a coastal room if that will bother you. When we complained, due to my asthma being triggered by the strong fumes, the best they could do was move us tomorrow to the same spot but one floor up. Our toilet was running and they came and fixed it promptly so I appreciate that! However, the walls are so thin I can hear the ice machine, which we are right by, and the elevator, which is quite a ways down the hall. We typically stay at the Kon Tikki but they're closed for renovations. We will be skipping Pismo until they're open again. read more

Such a great hotel. The location is amazing such an easy and convenient stay. Going to the beach was such a breeze we used the stairs located in the Terrance. Pool was clean and I loved the small pool area for my little one. We did have a clogged bathroom but the staff was so friendly and acted quickly to get it resolved. When I told my co worker that I was heading down to Pismo Beach for a little vacation for Hubby's birthday, she gave me recommendations on hotels, food and activities. She told me how she had this beautiful oceanfront view from a different hotel that she went to and that she recommended getting one. I was searching around for hotels and looked up the one that she told me about. It was beautiful, but I ended up going with SeaCrest OceanFront Hotel and I was NOT disappointed at all. The room we gotten was just absolutely amazing! The view was incredible and the balcony was just so relaxing when we were out there. I booked the Signature Deluxe King for our stay and I have to say that my favorite about the room was the bay window seating! With this booking we also received a $10 Thirst credit in which we ended up using it for ice cream! We could hear the sound of the ocean at night even with the balcony doors closed. It was just an amazing trip and we really enjoyed our time here at SeaCrest and the gorgeous view! We really didn't want to leave and the trip was too short. Everybody there has been incredible to us, the view was just breathtaking, and complimentary breakfast was standard pancakes, eggs, sausage, cereals, oatmeal, etc, but it was filling.
