LOVE this place! It has been life changing. I live with MS and the muscle spasticity and pain associated with the condition has, over time, increasingly limited my quality of life and what I'm able to do. With a progressive condition, this is not unusual; it's rare when we're able to move the needle in a positive direction, which is what CCF floats have done for me! Baclofen, a common muscle relaxer, didn't work for me at all. But monthly floats, over time, have improved my flexibility, and reduced my pain & muscle spasms. Beyond the physical relief, I've also obtained something beyond any expectation - the ability to calm my Central Nervous System which previously lived in a constant fight-or-flight state of hyper-vigilance. Now that I float regularly, my body is very different! I've regained flexibility, and can manage my pain in a proactive preventative way! Super disappointed, was given one float session and one fire and ice session as a gift for Valentine's Day. When my wife purchased the two gift cards, she was told that if I decided I wanted to do one treatment instead of the other (switch a float for a fire and ice for example) that was no problem. I did my fire and ice session and knowing that a float session was not something I would enjoy, asked to redeem my float gift card for a fire and ice session. They are the same price, the only difference is that fire and ice is actually shorter. Well the owner would not let me trade the float session for a fire and ice session even though her employee told my wife it was fine. She told me I should just gift my gifted float session to someone else. This place already has our money and now I'm told to just give it away if I don't like it. Interesting way to do business, she could have let me exchange it the one time since we were told it was fine and then notified me of the policy going forward, then she would have kept me as a customer, but now I will not be back. read more

My 1st time here & it was so peaceful & utter bliss. I started with the red light sauna for about 30 mins then went in to floats for almost an hour. I am claustrophobic but once inside, had no fear or phobia. The world & stresses floated out & away. My skin feels so soft & slippery in the water. Amazing experience & highly recommend. Such a cool experience! I went to give it a try before bringing my sister. I booked their 30 minute infrared sauna and then the 60 minute float with their mag-healy device. Very nice staff from beginning to end. I was given a little tour before going to the infrared sauna. It was my first time trying one and, wow, forgot how much a person can sweat! Plenty of fresh towels made me feel comfortable though. And after, a variety of robes from which to choose. After the sauna I was shown to the float room and given the instructions, I appreciate they have it up on the wall as well. I was impressed with how big the tank is. I'm 5'4" so very average height, but I loved that I could stand up and lay without touching any edges. I could float a little toward the head and foot without touching and I had to stretch my fingers out to touch the side walls. In the tank I loved the option to have the color changing light on or off, as well as the music. I experimented with both options but kept the meditation music on. Despite being in room 1 at the very front, I never heard anything else from outside. At the end of my time the lights turn on and the music changes so it was very easy to get up. I spent some time in their lounge afterwards with a cup of tea. They have a wonderful verity of things to do, a good selection of books, art supplies, and light music. Experienced my first float today and WOW! Words cannot describe the experience. The soothing music and the perfect temperature of the water and room felt magical. Although your whole body doesn't submerge. The temperatures are calibrated so perfectly that you cannot discern temp difference between parts that are submerged and the parts exposed to the ambient air. Perhaps the easiest five star review I've written to date. Everything about this place is bomb. Camille was the greeter and she was super sweet. She explained the process and made everything really simple to understand. I was most pleased with the set up of the entire place. The salt water pods were tall and not short, like I've floated in before. The way the float ended was nice with "gong like" music instead of an abrupt voice. The showers and all amenities were in beautiful taste. The seating room and hot tea is a great touch. The prices are reasonable given the area and the experience. I signed up to be a member after one session. The membership benefits are well worth the member pricing. Also opted for the infrared sauna after the float. The ad and the name promoted the "Float" experience, however, when I arrived it was brought to my attention that I didn't purchase the "Float " experience. I had actually purchased the Sauna treatment, clearly stated on my voucher. My own fault. I made the best of it and it actually wasn't bad after all. I only regret the Groupon package I purchased was not for Float. The staff was friendly and the ambiance was clean, quiet, Zen, and positive energy. Mission accomplished. I had gone a few times before covid & really enjoyed this place. Not sure what happened, but I went back & it was awful. I was overcharged then offered a refund & I haven't received it. I called & didn't get my call returned. To make matters worse the ear wax was bad & didn't stay in my ears. I had water in my ears for a week & my ears are still not 100% Finally, my friend & I were the only ones there, but other than floating we couldn't take advantage of the facility. I came here over the weekend for my first-ever float session, and I was joined by a friend who floats regularly in the Bay Area. When we came in, we were greeted professionally and taken on a brief but informative tour of the facility. The space is beautiful, open, and very clean. The amenities inside the float rooms were great too, and clearly there was a lot of thoughtfulness that went into the design of the entire space. The small touches really made it a wonderful experience. I also really appreciated how large the tanks were, and how you had the option to turn on/off the lights and music while you were inside. The only reason I took one star off the experience was that the water inside the float tank was too warm for me to get really comfortable. My friend who regularly floats in the Bay Area felt the same way. I watched the CCF Tour and Float Guide videos ahead of time, and was expecting the water to be 94 F. I'm not sure if perhaps the water was warmer than that on the day that I was there, or if my body temperature happens to run cooler, but I felt a bit muggy and uncomfortably warm in the tank the entire time. Other than that aspect, I really enjoyed the experience and would be open to floating again sometime. read more

Such a cool concept and you'd be surprised how well you float (I never can) but the epson salts definitely do their trick. From the bubbly personality front desk welcoming me into my first float (you can tell she loves her she does and takes pride in their operation--I believe it was Kelsey who welcomed me), gave me the tour and was easy to follow and understand what to do. You can tell they take care of all their cleanliness and protocols during this awkward time. I tried several options (lights and music on, lights and music off, one of each, door open, door closed). I couldn't get out of my head to just release and relax enough to fall asleep but the feeling was amazing. I didn't float the whole hour but part of the time just sat in the nicely heated water since I don't have a tub at home and enjoyed the soak. This was my second float ever and my first at Central Coast Floats. I was very pleased. The reception area is spacious and I was greeted with a friendly smile & " welcome" and asked to put on flip flops before my mini get-acquainted tour. A long hall with pleasing art enters into a spacious and beautiful common area that is filled with natural light, focused lighting, plants and calming music. Floor to ceiling windows provide a view of some parking but also a beautiful sea of trees. This room is magic. Tea and water are available to enjoy as you stay in a moment of relaxation. A very important part of the experience for me. Floats are in exceptionally clean & private rooms with everything necessary to enjoy the experience: robes, halos(to keep your head relaxed), earplugs, towels, shampoo, Vaseline (to cover any cuts or scrapes). The float is in a spacious fiberglass mini "room" within your private room. There is about 2 feet of water, ambient blue lighting and Zen? Music. My experience was very good. I couldn't quite get my halo adjusted so it was difficult to hear the music but my float provided the total relaxation I came for. I never felt claustrophobic or had issues except I did keep my mini room door ajar with a towel because it was so steamy. And when showering afterwards the filtration? system startled me. I do recommend this experience for complete relaxation & rejuvenation. A very nurturing self care experience. This was for me so I neglected to get pictures. Maybe that's a "win"? read more

I love floating! But this business has rigid, inflexible policies that cost you extra money. I bought a package of floats and was told they expire. I couldn't transfer them. And when I wasn't able to use them all, they charged me no show fees instead of using my credits. read more

Wow. Sensational! I was a little afraid of the confinement of a small space but quickly fell into enjoying the benefits. Floating evokes a heavenly perception of self and life. Sometimes I was a simple being, gelling in a petri dish and other times, I was an alien force dominating and swimming through the cosmos. Always there was a quiet freedom and relaxation. I emerged refreshed and grounded. The owner manager is a wonderful hostess to the unique facility. Everything you need from towels to earplugs is provided. I did get some of the densely salted water in my inner ear canal and had to flush it out. It's best to deal the ear plugs before showering and make sure they're solid. Floating at least a few times a month. Even my wife, who claims she cannot float normally, LOVES going here, where she CAN float! I'm sure the experience of floating is different for everybody. But I find it to be an hour of forced mental vacation. Get away from all the distractions of the world, and just...be. It's like a reset button. What a fun and interesting concept! I tried float therapy here for the first time during their grand opening and I was very pleased. Each floating tank is in its own room. It's like a small room within a room. There is maybe a foot or two of extremely salty water inside. You put ear plugs in your ears and shower before entering the tank. There is a little ring floaty for your head if you need it, but i found that you really do float with no problem! There is relaxing lights and music inside if you want but you can also do total sensory deprivation which is total darkness and silence. I was worried about possibly getting bored in the float tank but my hour flew by and I was sad when it was over. you feel totally weightless in there and the water is so soft! This place is rad. I've floated once before CC Floats opened in SLO and my experience here doesn't even compare. The owners here paid attention to all the details such as nonslip flooring and soft towels. The tanks are tall, so it could work for people who don't like being in tight spaces. It seems like they keep a close eye on their salt levels so it was easy to float (unlike the last place I visited). I love that they have an area to relax before or after your float. Booked a sauna session followed by a couples float for a date and had the best experience. I have only been to one other float tank location in my hometown and loved this one so much more. One thing I really like is that the top of the tank is not within a few feet of your face, so it feels much less confined yet I was able to obtain the same amount of sensory deprivation (and had an option to have a subtle light on in the tank, but chose not to). The sauna followed by the float was great, and I've never had the opportunity to do a couples float and it's an awesome idea. It was so great to spend some time getting on the same wavelength (literally) and was such a unique experience; We will definitely be back. First time experiencing sensory deprivation / float pod... it was a wonderful experience. I did the infrared sauna before hand, which was nice- But not the highlight. I was given a tour when I arrived by Shirona, who was kind and informative. Their lounge area is comfortable with a great selection of spiritual / personal growth booKs to borrow. The float itself was very special, the water was warm and comfortable, felt very safe. I had the feeling of being held and soothed by the water, allowed to simply exist, weightless. It was beautiful. I did have a cut on my foot which stung a little, but they give you some Vaseline to cover any little open Niks and cuts- which helped. read more

I wasn't sure really what to expect and was actually nervous about how I was going to shut it down for 60 minutes. The place was clean the and the staff were extremely friendly. They walked me dyed by step of what to do. The experience was incredible for me. It took me a good 15 minutes to settle into it. Then my anxieties slowly started falling away. All the tension in my body released.The time was not an issue bc I was so relaxed. I left feeling Ike a new person! I was able to reset my body like never before and left feeling really energized. I think I even fell asleep for a good 20 minutes. My body was buzzing for the rest of the day. I can't wait to go back! read more

I never would have gone to this place on my own but my wife suggested it and I went along for the ride. I was impressed as soon as we walked in. Everything about this business is done professionally. It has a modern feel as if you were in a European spa and the entire property is extremely clean. We were given a five minute overview to explain everything and minimize our fears and off we went. Took fifteen or so minutes to get comfortable with the sensory deprivation but after the feeling out process it was a really cool experience. Came out feeling incredibly relaxed and centered. Central Coast Floats is such a great place to relieve tension, pain and have deep meditation. This is where I did my first float and had an amazing experience. I was able to find out where my body holds tension and fully get relief while in the tanks. The float center is beautiful, clean, and has amazing staff. They were able to walk me through my first float experience and provided so many amenities to make me feel comfortable and pampered.
