This visit didn't live up to the Niles location, and can't wait until the little Glenview shop reopens.

I asked her for a bag so I wouldn't lose my mochi donuts as I dodged traffic on AH back to my car. She bagged up my box and handed it to me. There was no hello, no thank you, no have a good day, not a sound except for my name. For about $40 a DOZEN (after tax), I would have expected some sort of customer service. I really hope this was a one off, not the normal for business. The donuts were good. They were fresh and chewy. The flavors popped and were a nice treat. However, for the cost and lack of customer care, I'm going to keep looking for another mochidonut location. At almost $4 for a donut, come out and say HI! The owner needs to do better at training employees.

My family and I have ordered our cakes from Central Continental Bakery for as long as I can remember. Anniversary cakes, Party cakes, Graduations you name it. They always taste great and look AWESOME!! The staff and the managers at the bakery have always been helpful and very professional. The lines are sometime long (especially during paczki week), but its well worth the wait. One more thing, some of my family has moved down south and whenever I come and visit. I NEED to bring some of there famous butter cookies or they wont let me in the house!! read more

By far the BEST PACZKI you will ever have!! The reciepe is old world traditional but the fillings and assortment are not!!! They are so overstuffed with filling you could fill two of them with what you get. They may be a little pricey...but hey this is once a year and my family pigs out for the entire 6 day festival and then we all give up sweets for Lent. If you have never tried Central's Paczki you don't know what your missing!!! Try one I know you'll be back for more....Yumo!! read more

I go to the bakery almost once a week! From the outside, the beautiful flowers invite you in. I am always impressed with the decorating and the unique merchandise to buy. I understand the owner's wife is responsible for making this place so warm. I would recommend this traditional family bakery to anyone looking for some splendid sweets! Great pastries, donuts, birthday cakes. The staff is friendly. We always order bread for the holidays from here. They get extremely busy during Christmas, but have a good system down that gets you in and out. They are not cheap and last year's canoli shells fell flat, but overall this is the best bakery in the area. read more
