    Chocolate raspberry slice
    Mark M.

Sweet tooth kicked in after a morning hockey skate out in Rosemont. Yelp quickly answered with amazing bread and cakes. Right on the corner opposite the metra with plenty of street parking. When I entered I knew it was going to be good. Plenty of housemade breads and cakes throughout the shop. The ladies were super nice and accommodating. In and out in no time. You could sit inside to hangout too. I went with the slice of chocolate raspberry and the pistachio chocolate tart. Chocolate raspberry slice was very moist and full of raspberry with every bite. The pistachio chocolate tart had a fluffy and creamy top with a not too dense tart. Perfect bite every time. Well worth the stop!

Amazing, as always. I always feel like their breads and pastries get better and better with every visit. Their sourdough bread is phenomenal and even discourages me from making my own - because why make some when I drive 10 minutes and buy the best bread? It's Fall again and I always look forward to their pumpkin loaf. Their scones, apple pastries, buns, literally everything they offer is always so incredible. This bakery has been my #1 for many years now

Great pastries, comforting homemade soups, very fair prices! Only thing is I did not like the oatmilk latte. But I will come again for the food! Based on the 3 bakery items I tried, everything has just enough sweetness to feel like a treat without getting a nauseous sugar high

A nice variety of baked goods and reasonable prices. Extremely patient and friendly staff. I only tried some of the treats like a poppy seed roll and a ham and cheese croissants but I cannot wait to go back and buy a loaf of fresh bread!

Amazing selection of breads and cakes, with breakfast pastries that are absolutely delicious. The coffee is strong and hot, just the way it should be. Service is quick and friendly, and the little sit-in area adds a really cute touch. Definitely a spot worth coming back to!

Nice cozy little bakery just on the corner across the street from the Des Plaines train station. A lot of variety in baked goods. Lots of sweet treats! They also have sandwiches and cafe drinks as well. I loved their Blueberry Scone accompanied by a Vanilla Chai Tea Latte

Beautiful little bakery in the heart of downtown Des Plaines. Everything we had was delicious. My husband got the almond pretzel croissant, I got a spinach quiche and we shared a blueberry scone. We took a loaf of Parmesan sourdough home. It was still too hot and fresh that they could cut it for us, but that just spoke to how fresh it was. There was a line but it moved very quickly with everyone working behind the counter. We waited less than 5 minutes to order. They were kind and efficient. So glad this is just a few minutes from home, I plan on trying some of their drinks soon too!

Amazing Breads and Cakes is a small family-owned and -operated bakery in Des Plaines, and they carry naturally-leavened breads, pastries, cookies, customized birthday cakes, and various beverages (such as coffee, tea, and hot chocolate). We stopped by to get some coffee and some pastries to take home after doing some errands in the area - we had an apple-filled pastry, a ham & cheese croissant, and a spinach & ricotta croissant. These were okay, where it was more dough/bread heavy than the filling. The one filled with apples was my favorite out of the three. I also had a mocha, but this was forgettable - it seemed slightly watered down and not strong. Service was friendly, and there a handful of tables to enjoy your beverage and treats; however, most seem to get their orders to go. You can tell that items are made in house, and they take pride in their offerings. Limited street parking is available. +friendly service +limited street parking available

The new location is in a brand-new building, and their coffee selection has expanded as well. Their butter cookies are the best I've ever had, and it's difficult to leave without a box. Sometimes I even buy two boxes--one to eat on the way home and another to share with my wife when I get there. They have delicious, fresh donuts every day, and I especially love the donut holes they sell on Fridays. I also love that they carry Ideal Bakery's kolaczki and some of their other products. They offer fresh bread that they can slice for you when you order, or you can take it home unsliced. The staff is extremely friendly and patient while taking your order, and they never make you feel rushed, even when there's a line of customers. I ordered a cake and a dessert table from them for a party, and they did an amazing job. Salma was incredibly helpful throughout the process, offering recommendations and assisting us with our order. She took the time to answer all of our questions and made the entire experience stress-free. Keep up the great work, Jarosch Bakery!

The customer service was also great and everyone was friendly and welcoming. I got the strawberry matcha, and it was honestly so good. It wasn't overly sweet, and I could taste both the strawberry and matcha without either flavor overpowering the other. I also tried the milk bread with custard inside, and it was absolutely delicious. The bread was soft and fluffy, and the custard filling was the perfect addition. The prices are reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, too. Definitely a great spot to grab a pastry and a drink, and I'll be coming back to try more!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience here was disappointing…read more My family and I stopped by on Saturday shortly before closing. As employees were already putting away the bread, I politely asked if I could grab a piece before everything was picked up. I was told that the bread was being moved to the front and that someone would assist me there. While I waited, two other groups entered after me. They heard the same information and ended up being helped before I was, despite the employees knowing that I had been waiting first. I politely asked twice for assistance and was told to continue waiting while the other groups were served. What made the situation more frustrating was that the customers ahead of me were taking a long time deciding what they wanted. I had already put on a plastic glove and was prepared to select my own bread, but I was told that wasn't necessary because an employee would help me. While waiting, I witnessed one of the teenagers from a group point directly at the bread, and another teenager pushed their hand into it. This happened in front of the employees, and no one addressed the situation or reminded them not to touch the food. As someone who was trying to follow proper sanitation practices, I found this very concerning. Not only did this happened once but 2,3 times infront of them. Yet nothing was addressed. After being ignored, waiting while others were served ahead of me, and seeing unsanitary behavior go unaddressed, I decided to leave without making a purchase. I was disappointed by both the customer service and the lack of attention to food handling standards.

Such a fun and unique bakery experience!…read more Paris Baguette is a really cool Korean bakery franchise, and it's such a fun concept. When you walk in, you grab a tray and a pair of tongs, and you just go case by case picking out whatever catches your eye. Before you know it, you have a tray piled high with all kinds of unique treats! They have everything from cakes and pastries to breads, and a lot of savory options like pastries with hot dogs, plus sandwiches and salads to go. If I'm being totally honest, the pastries themselves are a bit light and airy for my taste, and they do leave a little bit of an aftertaste. But the sheer variety of sweet and savory delights makes it worth the trip. It's just a great, fun place to meet up with friends for coffee, grab some lunch, or pick up a box of treats to bring home to the Hubby! I'd definitely recommend checking it out!

They are located in most metro areas where Korean-Americans tend to live, and my wife and I have been to a lot of them (though strangely, I haven't been to the one closest to us since its grand opening, earlier this year). They specialize in the chiffon type cakes that Asians tend to like. My brother wanted to pick up a slice of their whipped cream strawberry shortcake for his son...he was shocked at the price of $8, but my nephew really appreciated it later.
