Still love my farmer's market. This year Sea Breeze isn't back (so sad!), but there are new additions that still make me happy. I love that the knife sharpener comes in his van to the market. Get your knives or shears sharpened while you shop at the market. He's even certified to do Shun knives! Los Agaves serves some tasty huaraches if you're looking for a quick dinner. I recommend the pastor for meat. I also want to give a shout out to Alvarez farms. They're another one of our favorite vendors, and they are some of the best pepper growers! They're currently also keeping us stocked with squash and squash blossoms too (mm... fried squash blossoms!) read more

This is a smaller farmers market in the Central District that is held on Friday afternoon and early evenings from May to October. It is located next to Grocery Outlet and technically in Madrona as it was formerly known as the Madrona Farmers Market. Though the Central District is very close and a short walk from here. I like this farmers market more because it sticks to its name as it has a good number of fruit and veg vendors, unlike a market like Wallingford which skews more towards prepared food offerings. It is a good place to pick up some local produce for your weekend and to imbibe on delectables after the end of the work week. read more

They are now closed for the season but I absolutely loved this little farmers market! It's small with just two rows of tents but they have some of the best local flowers. Can't wait to come back next year. read more

This Market used to be further down the hill and nicknamed the MadCap market because it was close to Capital Hill. It's now in the parking lot of the Grocery Store Outlet and has a lot of space and lots of parking. It's becoming a highly anticipated weekly event. From 3-7 on Friday hundreds of locals stroll through here to pick up delicious bread, cheese, fruit and produce. Some highlights are the Olive Bread loaf, the beautiful fancy pastas and Tiny's weekly delicious produce surprises. There are also crepes and tamales if you don't feel like cooking. And I've developed a serious jones for the unbelievably delicious cheesecake Streudel. They were out when I got there yesterday and I'm suffering withdrawls man. Not the biggest or even close to the best Farmer's Market in town. But it's being well enjoyed by the neighborhood and puts a smile on my face on Fridays! read more

The Madrona Farmers Market has reached the highest possible level of Famers Marketness. Organic/pesticide-free veggies Chicken/Duck eggs Local/hormone-free meats: goat, chicken, beef, lamb, pork Fresh pasta Zaw pizza Jambs, jellies, vinegars Oh, and my current crush: Seabreeze Farm. I love supporting local farmers and businesses and love that this is within walking distance to so many people. I also like this location in the GrocOut parking lot better than the old one in the church parking lot. While one of the smaller markets in Seattle, it has pretty much everything you need. I've been lucky enough to have made it nearly every week since June this year. While it's hard to walk out of there without spending less than $15, I'm stocked with fruit and produce for the week. I just wish I could remember my small picnic basket with handles to carry everything that I pick up! read more

Madrona's Farmers Market seems to just get better and better with age. A nice mix of vendors from ice cream to meat, fruits & veggies to sweets make it a Friday afternoon must. If you haven't tried Tall Grass Bakery's granola - it it heavenly. I can never decide between raisin pecan or almond coconut. So why not five stars? Call me a bit old-fashion but farmers markets are about the food. The market has added a number of non-food vendors and with its limited space in the parking lot of Grocery Outlet I am left wondering what other yummy local treats I could be enjoying every Friday during the summer. read more

This is one of the smaller farmer's markets in Seattle. For those who live nearby, it is something to look forward to every week. The location in the Grocery Outlet lot is an added bonus, as you can knock out both your bargain and gourmet grocery shopping at once! My favorite purchase is the Whidbey Island Ice Cream Company pint. Yum! read more

The highlight of my Friday afternoons! There are so many fantastic things here- Tall Grass Bakery baguette, lots of quality organic produce, expensive but amazing cupcakes, Oaxaca tamales, local cheeses and flowers. This is a small farmers market but it has everything I want while being the best quality. Bring your cash. Plus the Grocery Outlet is fun to wander and see what they have as a good deal. read more

Love going over for this farmers' market on Friday afternoons. The fish selection at Wilson Fish is fabulous ! (smoked is especially good ). Also, we love the Blue Cottage Jams, try any of them! They take credit cards at Wilson Fish..not sure about Blue Cottage Jam. We drive over from Bellevue nearly every week! read more
