A very small farmers market in a small parking lot but there's a parking lot for the farmers market just down the street! I didnt see it and parked down the road but the streets around here are on a hill so I had a bit of a trek. The ambiance was cute, friendly, and neighborly. There are two rows to walk through and the patio seating of a restaurant was playing live music so there was a fun ambiance. Surprisingly there were more food options than I expected and some really good options that I've seen at larger markets. I was able to get some delicioius peaches, and a mix and match deal of berries. I'd come to this market again if I'm in the area or lived in the neighborhood but because parking was a bit hard and the market is so small, I would say it was just OK. read more

This is a modest size farmers market held in a parking lot at Phinney Neighborhood Association on Friday afternoons from June to September in the center of the Phinney neighborhood. Though the market is not very big, it was very busy which I attribute to its location and it being held at the end of the work week. Selection is mixed with a few fresh produce vendors, but this market seems to lean more towards prepared foods. Comparable to the mix at the Wallingford Farmers Market, but on a smaller scale. It seems like a nice place to hangout for residents of this neighborhood or if you are on your way home and want to pick up a few things beforehand. read more

We love this Farmers Market! While it's smaller than some, the selection is always bountiful and beautiful. The vendors are so friendly and personable and truly make you feel like you have joined the neighborhood, weekly meet-and-greet. Samples galore! Thus making it difficult to walk away empty-handed. Everything from the fresh, house-made mozzarella cheese (try the basil, sundried tomato, garlic, caprese!), local popsicles, hot foods and many seasonable fruits/veggies, keep us coming back from week to week. There is seating available for those wishing to enjoy dinner on the premises, as well as a small playground/play structure for children needing to work their wiggles out. A great bonus for those using the EBT and WIC programs: they accept both! Phinney Farmers Market - Farmers Market Near Me - Seattle, Washington

This particular farmers market is probably my favorite of all of the Seattle ones. I've been to just about all of them but so far this one stands out the best for me. Taking an early Friday afternoon off from work, this place was a perfect spot to go for a walk. First of all, it's a charming & rather small corner neighborhood location; not too noisy nor does it feel stuffy from large crowds and/or other sources of sensory overload (nearby busy streets, honking, sirens, playgrounds, etc). Slightly in the shadow of the Phinney Center building, situated on a slight hill incline lends itself a neat character surrounded by nice trees. Don't worry about parking super close - if you get a spot a block or so away, it's a nice walk! Although, I think they have 1-2 temporary spots up front - those are good to at least check if you're handicapped. My main joy came from the amount of local regional organic farms AND their variety! Mixed cauliflower, [seasonal] figs(?!), black/red/white bean varieties (protein & fiber, tho!), plethora of dark, leafy greens & herbs (rich in nutrients - yum!), a creamy(?) red potato (#HCLF!) and other goodies. Shout-outs to The Root Cellar, Farmhouse, Tonnemaker, Stoney Plains and I think maybe 1-2 others I forgot. Wonderful interacting with the farmers, too! Thumbs up, yo! read more

This was my first time at PRFM. It's quite small but quaint. A few familiar vendors were here. I picked up some lovely peppers, lemon cucumbers and summer squashes. I loved the mixed organic pepper vendor since I haven't seen them at any other market. I've only been to lake forest park fm and shoreline this season. I frequent ballards fm but that was before summer produce started rolling in. There are 4 food vendors, a couple of drink vendors and 2 ice cream/popsicle vendors. A nice variety. I think there was also a wine/beer garden. I didn't go in to look. I like that this farmers market had ample parking in a lot behind the market itself. If I was around the neighborhood, I'd drop in again. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to drive all the way down here again for it though. read more

I happened to be in the area last Friday so I found some street parking and hopped on down to this quaint little market located at the Phinney Community Center. This not not a large set-up, but they have pretty much everything - including tons of amazing fruit, veggies, meats, and homemade goods. There was a pretty decent selection of food vendors, too - including many with vegan options, which was much appreciated as I'm doing a plant-based eating challenge currently. But my best bite of the day were organic strawberries from one of the farm vendors. I ate all the strawberries before I even left the market! Yum! read more

Please, please compare prices. Even if a farm stand is RIGHT NEXT to another, their prices can vary for the SAME organic food item very widely. That being said, this place has a playground that would amuse kids 4 and under, is dog friendly, and has great ready-made food available for making this a shopping AND dinner experience. If you are too cheap for a slice or a very tasty looking grilled cheese "experience," there are samples a plenty from each booth, from exotic and yummy sounding preserves and spreads to fresh bread and produce. Not overwhelming but small and tidy. So happy to have a farmers market within walking distance to where I and the family live. Always a great selection of produce, cheeses and meats to choose from. I have some of the farmers to thank for turning me on to baby turnips and their greens plus rapini ( like broccoli but with way more leaves ). The prices are on par or better than PCC and or Whole Foods. All neighborhood farmers markets are essential as water. Check them out. It's worth it. Great little farmers market in Phinney Ridge. Unfortunately, the timing of it makes it almost impossible for me to stop by as it is only on Friday afternoons (I think it's like 4-7p.m.) and it's not open year round. Open primarily in the summer, I think May through September. But the produce is great, people are helpful, they also have wonderful pizza by the slice, and sometimes live music. read more

It's coming together, meeting friends and acquaintances face to face. It's intimate, sharing the same space and simultaneous laughter, instead of those staggered lol's over txts and instant msging. It's easy, foraging around at the farmer's market before dinner is the most effortless way to blow someone's mind. Pick out something vibrant and fresh for a salad (wild arugula, dandelion greens or watercress) Taste it first. Add thinly-sliced apples & tri-colored radishes. Whisk together a vinaigrette out of apple cider vinegar, dijon, local honey, olive oil & sea salt. Sprinkle on some salty feta, and sear up grass-fed lamb or beef in butter & garlic (use a liberal amount of sea salt). Serve with a crusty loaf of bread and have your friends bring over the wine. LOVE the Phinney Farmers Market! It's small enough that you can be in-and-out in a jiffy, but it's also big enough that you can stroll around for a couple of laps and peruse the selection thoroughly. I appreciate that it's more of a "no nonsense" type of market and it's mostly just produce and some meat and cheese - you don't have to deal with the booths that have scarves or ugly purses, because that doesn't grow on a bush or tree! So, minus a star for only being open from June through September (Whaaaa?!?! Mama is NOT happy. Plants do grow outside of these months!) And a big FYI to other peeps like myself who like to bring their dog with them everywhere, it's a no doggie zone so your little furry buddy has to be tied up to the fence outside :( read more

This small farmers' market is great. There is just enough produce to keep us well stocked with great seasonal fruit and veg for nearly a week. I guess I don't need 10 stalls selling lettuce. Two or three will do for me. Being small, the Phinney Farmers' Market is not bursting with crowds like, say, the one one in Ballard. Another attraction to me is that this market is an easy walk from my home office, so is a nice afternoon break. I just wish the season of this market was longer. read more

For what it is, I am a fan. The Phinney market is relatively small and as to be expected, is somewhat sparse at the beginning of the season. We go to the Ballard market year-round, and if it weren't for the hellacious parking would probably skip Phinney and only hit Ballard for our market needs. That said, Phinney does fit a whole bunch of variety into their small market. There are the normal fruit and veggie stands (be sure to ask each vendor if organic is a concern) plus a great bread spot, pizza, ice cream and fresh meat. One thing I have missed (may just have hit it at the wrong time) is the cheese guy who was there last year with the amazing curds. I miss those. read more

Phinney Ridge looks like another great year. The good: --La Pasta is one of the vendors, and their handmade pasta and sauces are wonderful, and a deal! At $6/pound (and the pasta is conveniently split into 3 bundles, each enough for a serving), and $5 sauces, I can get 2-3 meals out of $11! I had the roasted red pepper linguine, which was VERY tasty! --Kittitas Greenhouse with its MANY varieties of heirloom tomatoes is a Caprese salad lover's dream! Many colors and varieties I will miss the cheese vendor though; I stopped by Central Market on the way up north to get Mozzarella to enjoy with my tomatoes. read more

The beets were wonderful, strawberries were not good- too many needed to be discarded. There are price differences for the what looks like the same produce. There are also some great aromas from some vendors selling you dinner. Much smaller than the Ballard or University markets. read more

I went for the first time today and it was a quaint little market, which suits this neighborhood perfectly. It's only as big as the upper parking lot of the Phinney Association building so I was able to walk through and browse all the different vendors in, oh, 15 minutes. I waffled between giving them a 3 star vs 4 star HOWEVER, I'm used to going to the Fremont Market which I adore for their artsy crafty stuff, and to the Ballard Market which I heart for their produce. And this market is just sparse. And unlike the other ones I mentioned which are open year round, Phinney is only open from June to October. read more

Great selection of local, fresh fruits and veggies. The vendors are knowledgeable and willing to answer your questions (when I was there today, one vendor had 3 different types of squash and was able to describe what made each different). My favorite part was that most of the vendors accepted credit cards so I didn't have to search out an ATM. read more
