The next day I had a hard time reaching my vet. I called Head to Tail asking if my situation was something they wanted to take on. Much to my surprise they indicated that they would assess the injury and help with my problem. Once we came in my dog was greeted and taken back for the assessment. A little while later, my dog was handed over to me. The caregiver indicated that they cleaned and shaved the area and grinded down the nail and completed the other nails. The injury wasn't as bad as I thought but never the less, my gratitude can't be expressed enough. The level of kindness and caring was over and beyond what was expected. We are clients of Head to Tail and will be for a very long time. To the crew at Head to Tail, thank you for all that you do for our animals.

We have gone their before with 2 dogs and both times there was a run around about not having one of our dog's vet information (when clearly they had it because they would have not performed any past services if they had not) and very quick to tell us than we need to cancel the upcoming appt. without wanting giving us a chance to call back with the update information required. When I called back to let to ask them what their email address was so that I could resend it (again) and asked them to have their paperwork updated so we wouldn't continue the same issues, they got very defensive saying that it was me who was rude. The conversation did escalate and I am so happy that we are now going to another place. As much as we would like to support small businesses, the downside is this place feels like they can treat people anyway they like. My mother says the older lady is nice, but the young one who I had the displeasure of speaking too is very snotty! It's a shame the dog in question has been there at least twice within one year and they give us a hard time each time because they for whatever reason are not up to date with how they file their records. Bottomline there are too many groomers out there and in MY past experience I have always had a great experience with groomers, pet lovers are usually so nice....oh well this is on them for me writing this review. I have an appt. tomorrow @ 7am for another groomer. made the call, they asked if they were up to date on shots...yes they are...please bring with you when you bring the dogs in. Boom! Done......

They have a vast array of freshwater aquarium fish, snails etc, as well as salt water, and fish for outdoor ponds (you'll make your way out the back door for this). They have pond plants, aquarium plants, rocks, driftwood, and more. Pretty much everything you might need for your set up or to get set up, they have. They are well staffed and their staff is incredibly knowledgeable. If you're unsure what you're looking for, or having an issue with your aquarium that has left you flummoxed, they can definitely help you through it. One of my favorite things is they have all their plants well labeled (beginner, intermediate, advanced), so you know which ones might require special lighting or co2. This is so helpful to ensure your aquarium is thriving. The only thing I'll mention is their fish prices are a little higher than some of the other aquarium spots in town. It's nice, because they're a one stop shop with everything you need. But, something to be aware of. Big fan of this spot! Get to it!

I expected it to be your usual plain jane feed store selling 2 brands of low end pet food & some poultry seed. Not so! They had multiple brands of dry & canned dog & cat food ranging from Stella & Chewy's to Fromm, to Zignature to Vita Essentials. They pride themselves on trying to sell mostly local products, including their bird seed, farm fresh eggs, honey, household cleaning products, handmade soaps, jewelry & canned items such as jam. The store is unassuming from the outside, but has charm & farm style touches inside that make it fun and inviting. I'd definitely recommend a visit if you're driving by.

I currently drive 45 minutes to Kenosha just so Melissa can groom my cats. She truly loves animals and is so gentle and kind to them. In my house, we call her the cat whisperer. It's the only person to whom I can take my skittish little black cat and not have her freak out and try and claw the groomer. In fact, Melissa is mystified that my cat ever acts out and scratches other groomers because she's a perfect angel for Melissa. I think prices are pretty average compared to other groomers - a little more than $40 a cat. All I know is it's well worth the drive and whatever I have to pay for my animals to be taken care of by such a good, patient groomer.

They just have a small waiting room and a lot of people getting their pets immunized. You may have to wait about 10 minutes longer than your appointment and that is nothing. The dog desperately needs to be spayed, so I have followed the protocol online to get an appointment. I gotten online the second spay appointments open on the first of every month. I've been doing it for three months with no success. This month, I actually got through the appointment process and found an open spot. YAY!! But when I got to the last step, their webpage glitched, as it often does, and I had to start over. So, I'm that apparent 30 second timeframe, there were no more appointments left, including the one I had just tried to reserve. I immediately called and left a message, hoping they could help and the message I got was basically, "too bad so sad, have a better day." As a public service that purports to want to help manage the stray population, and care for animals, their policies and lack of willingness to help seems a lot more likely to lead to a box of unwanted puppies being left at their doorstep than anything else. We will likely help our daughter figure it out, but many are not in the position to do that.
