I called the franchise location directly and got connected to what I can only describe as a human answering machine with a script and zero problem-solving skills. She asked for my zip code, discovered I was ONE town over from their service area, and essentially said "not my problem" with a smile in her voice. Fine. I escalated to their big, shiny nationwide toll-free number -- you know, the one that implies they can help anyone, anywhere. Same song, different robot. And when I asked if they could at least point me toward someone who could help? Crickets. Loud, echoing, maddening crickets. So here I am, managing a 2,500-mile gap, a time zone difference, and a corporate policy so rigid it apparently can't bend one zip code for a loyal customer. I eventually found a local mom-and-pop shop that's been in business for 38+ years -- and shockingly, they acted like they actually wanted my business. Imagine that!
