Apathetic Staff who "sneer" at supposed "competitors" is NOT the way to do it. Not ALL, but MOST did that the last few times I was in. Rude Customers with a poor opinion on "what is authentic" abound, slandering other businesses while THIS ONE idly sits by (MGMT BE PROFESSIONAL AND FIX THAT!!! It's my only gripe on that end) On the food: Only been there a few times over the last decade, as a result. Decent (GOOD at best) Phö (it's pronounced "fuh", NOT "FOE", for the cuisine'tard dingbats)...Not "the best"; only "decent/good" phö. The Thai SomTum was actually on-point the times I did grab a bite there. The "seafood piyaya" (I believe it was called) is REALLY good. I'm a fan of REAL Vietnamese Coffee...& THAT was what brought me back. I don't care WHO this "offends" (& I'm sure it will merely be the so-called "customers" & staff I've mentioned; which actually bring a GOOD business down)...because IT'S THE TRUTH. I'm a PROFESSIONAL...& I DO NOT LEAVE B.S. "REVIEWS". I had to wait YEARS to place this one...& my encounter a month ago prompted it. Notice, cuisine'tards, that the GOOD rating got a 4 (for "good")...so, learn how these things WORK. A GOOD restaurant that could be GREAT.

I could have that comforting ramen dish every single week, it's THAT good. The beef chunks were also very tender and not at all dry. Was pretty cool to see okonomiyaki on the menu as well - we split it between two of us as an appetizer. Although I don't live nearby, I'd love any excuse to return and try more yummy looking offerings from their menu.

I thought I had submitted a review before for this…read morerestaurant but it looks like I haven't so this post will include additional pictures from my first experience here. Noodle Shack is located in a shopping center so there is ample parking available. During my first visit, I had the pleasure to try takoyaki for the first time. These soft, pillowy octopus fritters garnished with sauce and bonito flakes that danced as they reacted to the heat we're as exciting to try as they were delicious. Upon entry today I was quickly seated and was one of two occupied tables in the dining room. The waiter came over and took my order of Zhanjiangmian. My previewed the menu online beforehand so I already knew what I was going to order. The interior of the restaurant is spacious, clean and cozy. Not long after I place my order I got my food. Zhanjiang is a fermented soybean paste and to make the dish pork and mushrooms are added to make the sauce. To my delight, I was welcomed with a warm and savory noodle dish packed with umami that just seemed perfect for this cold weather. The dish itself does not come spicy so I requested a side of chili oil which I used had some heat and this just amplified how tasty this dish was. I was pleased with my order and would definitely eat this dish again. My only complaint about today's experience, which is a pet peeve of mine, is when the server places the check on the table before I am finished eating. Fortunately, most establishments don't follow this protocol. And although it is my only complaint I do not feel this would prevent me from going back try more of their menu.

It's everything you didn't know you needed, in the best way ever. *** Ginger offers benefits like reducing nausea, fighting inflammation and pain (especially menstrual cramps, arthritis), aiding digestion, boosting immunity, potentially improving heart health (cholesterol, blood sugar), and supporting brain function due to its potent antioxidants (gingerols, shogaols) and anti-inflammatory compounds, helping with colds, indigestion, and even skin health*** Moved on to the Shrimp Fresh Garden Rolls (warm shrimp, fresh Thai basil, fresh spring mix, and crispy lettuce wrapped in rice paper) served with a DELICIOUS HOMEMADE peanut sauce. Solid garden roll and paying $1 extra for hoisin and Thai chili sauce was worth it. A fresh explosion of flavor with every bite. ***Thai basil provides benefits such as rich antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties, supporting immune function with vitamins A, C, and K, and aiding digestion. It also contains essential minerals like magnesium, calcium, iron, and potassium, and may help support heart health, reduce stress, and ease pain*** Finished with Green Curry with Tofu!!! Brilliantly vibrant, herbaceous, creamy, and spicy dish balancing sweet, salty, and savory notes with a distinct, bright, complex flavor with a creamy coconut base and medium heat. Served with a traditional white rice cooked to perfection. Those of y'all who don't know...RICE IS AN ART IN IT'S OWN RIGHT! :) ***Thai green curry offers benefits like improved digestion, heart health, and brain function due to its rich antioxidants, anti-inflammatory herbs (lemongrass, galangal), and vitamins from vegetables, but watch out for high fat/sodium from coconut milk and paste. Key ingredients provide quercetin for heart protection, capsaicin for brain health, and digestive aids, making it a nutrient-dense meal when balanced with plenty of veggies, lean protein, and mindful of coconut cream*** The great thing about Thai cuisine is the many health benefits and it provides great lubrication on a chilly wintry day. The service was friendly and efficient! The interior was charming, cozy, and welcoming. Great find on the corner of King & S Court. Do yourself a favor and stop in for takeout or to dine in when you're in the area. Thanks, WORLD GRILLS!

Although she did…read morecheck-in with us regarding our appetizer, she was too preoccupied to check-in regarding our entree, due to her being the only staff in the dining area catering to 4 different tables; understandable but didn't leave us the opportunity to address our issues with the entree (which will be highlighted below) until we paid for our bill and came across someone else by happenstance. The aesthetics were elegant and on the dimmer side, especially if you're seating at the corner tables away from the light, we recommend sitting closer to the light or by the entrance if there's still light out. We really loved the crab croquettes appetizer, which had a perfectly crispy exterior that complimented perfectly with the moist interior mixture of potato and crab that paired very well with the aioli. The crispy potato that accompanied the NY strip was perfectly balanced as well, with the crispiest exterior that I ever had with a potato dish! Unfortunately that was the highlight to the entire dish, for the strip was extremely lean without any fat or marbling to help balance out the leanness of the steak (which is evident in the attached photos below). Usually a NY strip, even if grass fed, would still have a strip of fat on the outer layer, but ours did not have any at all, which you can see from all slices we've made. We weren't hoping for ribeye-quality fats at all, but just one that wasn't completely lean. The creamed spinach was also quite bitter and watery, which definitely diluted its creaminess unfortunately; you can see from the photo the wateriness in the creamed spinach where the cream began separating. We love their menu and the restaurant's elegant vibe, as well as how beautifully the food was presented, but unfortunately we were left disappointed by our main entree. I highly recommend their crab croquettes so please give that a try if you can, I promise you won't regret it! Thank you for reading and best of luck! (:
