I've been coming here for 6 months and have never had an experience like this until Jenny did my nails. She suggested soaking off a set that I absolutely loved--the shape, length, and overall look were perfect. I trusted her when she said a fresh set would look even better. Unfortunately, it was the complete opposite. After spending over an hour on my nails, they came out uneven, different lengths and shapes, with a sloppy design that looked unfinished. When I politely pointed out that they were visibly uneven, Jenny became defensive and rude instead of trying to make it right. After that, I felt uncomfortable speaking up again even though I still hated them. When I got home, I realized how bad they really were. The nails were so thick I could barely use my hands--it felt like all of my fingers were stuck inside marker caps. My friends and sisters were genuinely shocked when they saw them because they know I always keep my nails looking nice. To make matters worse, Jenny cut me badly enough to draw blood not once, but twice--once on each hand. My blood was literally getting on her tools and files while she worked. Now I get to spend my work shift sticking those cuts into lemons and cleaning products. I ended up returning to the salon because these nails completely ruined my day. When I came back, I specifically told them I was uncomfortable having Jenny touch my nails again. I wanted someone else to look at them and actually feel the work she had done. The technician who attempted to fix them seemed genuinely confused by how thick they were and couldn't understand why they had been built up so heavily in the first place. Apparently a drill was barely used, if at all, which explains a lot. Even after going back, they're still nowhere near acceptable for a $90 set. Now I'm stuck looking at them for weeks until they're ready to be soaked off again. Jenny asked me if I was new, but after this experience, I wish she was. The quality of work, customer service, and professionalism were all disappointing. Uneven nails, excessive thickness, sloppy design work, being cut until I bled, and then being treated rudely for speaking up is unacceptable. Jenny, if you're going to charge professional prices, produce professional work. Use the proper tools, take pride in what you're doing, and stop sending clients out the door with nails that look and feel unfinished. Do better. read more

Paid with a card, had plenty of money on it. Funds were deducted from my balance and they had no receipt paper in so no receipt printed. They gave me a hard time and acted like I didn't pay. The looks I got from all the staff where awful. I showed them that the money was deducted and that it showed their business was still processing it but it wasn't enough. Made an appointment with the manager for 11:30. Drove 40 mins I get there tell me she can't take me she won't be done for a long time. Asks if someone else do my nails didn't apologize for double Booking. I wait for Christina to be done her client to be done patiently so I can do next and another person comes with an appointment with another person. Didn't reschedule or ask me what time I could come back or another day. Horrible customer service. Understand these are different times. But they have no consideration of people time, money or loyalty. Poor management left a bad taste in my mouth. Don't want to spend my hard earned money here anymore. This place is not clean either. I am so disappointed because i paid the same amount of my full set for my little 9 year olds regular small nails. So I originally posted how very satisfied I have been with this salon. That all changed this past weekend during my bi-weekly visit. I'm being a bit bias with this next statement: I typically prefer a female tech because I feel they are more critical of the details. That is my PERSONAL opinion, not at all factual. However against my better judgement I allowed a gentleman to perform the services needed. My pedicure went well I have no complaints. I picked a color and no one was able to find it. I had to settle for white after several minutes of searching the same cabinet and not at all looking elsewhere. Not a big deal. Now. I get a full set, pick a new color and request designs. You know when you go to a buffet and under the lights and sneeze guard everything looks delicious, but once you get back to your table it looks gross? Accurate depiction of my nails. I thought they looked great in the salon. Got home...and they looked terrible. Several of my nails looked square as opposed to the requested coffin shape, they were thick as hell when I requested thin, and the minor details were not attended to. I was was not pleased. I feel the proximity of this salon really made me want to like this place but this is the second time I left unhappy. I am now a happy customer at the highly recommended Polished Nails in Woodbury. read more

My salon of choice was packed so I decided to try somewhere else. The guy who did my nails repeatedly asked me if I wanted gel after I told him no, just a standard manicure. I asked for stiletto nails, and they were left sharp and jagged. They were not filed nicely at all. Finally, I noticed on my way home in the sunlight they were a dark blue/navy color and I asked for black. I couldn't tell when I was inside. *update* 3/22 after my last visit I was referred to Christina by another customer so I gave her a shot and she did an excellent job on my nails, she took her time and they looked beautiful. If u decide to go here definitely ask for her.* This was my second visit to Central nails. The last time I went I had a pretty mediocre experience. I think the techs name was Tammy. I had to keep asking her to reshape my nails because she would have let me leave with bumps in the acrylic as well as uneven coffin shapes. I walked her through the design that I wanted and although the concept was beautiful the execution was not so much. I also felt after about four days it was already time for a refill. I just moved to the area and really only went to this place out of convenience. It was two weeks today so I reluctantly went back for a refill hoping and praying that my last experience was somethingout of the normal. I am even more dissatisfied with this set then I was the last. Not only did the tech have to get a different tech to do my designs because she failed at two attempts but also failed to mention that they charge an extra five dollars to slightly file your nails down to the original length. Also while I was there this time another young lady was arguing with the male nail tech because all of her tips were slanting to the left and he told her they were slanted because of the way her natural nails were. Needless to say this will be my last visit to the shop. I really wanted to like this place but I feel I wasted my money both times. read more

Went by here for the first time today after reading the good reviews online. The salon is small, and nothing fancy, but I was able to walk in at 1pm on a Saturday and be seen immediately for a full set of acrylics. I wanted to try stiletto shaped nails for the first time and the guy who did them did a great job on the shaping. They didn't charge me any extra for UV gel polish which was surprising considering their prices are average if not a little lower than the other places I've been around here. Everyone there was polite and I will definitely be back for a spa pedicure when I have more time to spend there. read more

One of the WORST gel manicures I ever had and my pedicure got destroyed after slipping on shoes OVER an HOUR later. The guy I had kept messing up the gel color and blaming it on the polish when I SAW him mess them up. They made my nails too short when I've spent weeks trying to grow them out. They cut my cuticles so much my fingers hurt and he made one of my toes bleed. It took FOREVER. There were dead bugs on the floor and fake nail and real nail debris and trash all over the floor. Guess they don't bother sweeping up after. I've been trying to find a good place to go to and I KNEW I shouldn't have come here. They ruined my nails. I didn't even want to pay money for it. I will never go there again and urge anyone else thinking about it to go at your own risk or not go at all. Total waste of time and money. I'll drive the 20-30 minute drive to my old salon Oasis Nails and Spa in Cherry Hill. Best salon I've ever been to. I miss my technician there. It was my mistake for trying to replace quality for convenience. Never again. I'm totally and completely disappointed and angry over this.
