#32 Pastrimi with steak fries, cole slaw and deli pickle.
Brent B.

I've been interested in trying the Stage Deli since my last visit to Katz's in NYC to have some traditional Jewish deli! I had the #32 pastrami on rye and it was pretty tasty. The portions are OK and I really enjoy steak fries so that was a plus! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is light and open, and if you're in the mood there is a take out counter as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My server was very attentive and friendly and i got a really good fresh deli style dill pickle with my sandwich, yum! I'm not sure if i'll ever make it back, but was glad to give the Stage Deli a shot.

This was an unexpected visit. We were visiting the nearby Holocaust Center and grabbed a bite after. We got recommended to go by the lady in the Holocaust Center's gift shop. This was well worth the visit in the pouring rain. The size of the deli sandwich was unbelievable and I ate off of it for little over two days. The sandwich and pickle were very flavorful and I look forward to going back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining area was lit for an early evening bite.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was fast and friendly.

In town visiting and was really in the mood for a Jewish deli, this place was recommended to me, and it did not disappoint. My wife, her aunt and I visited and were seated pretty immediately, even though it was decently busy. We were sat in a back corner, and the waitress was quick and attentive. The menu had so much to offer, and I wanted to try so much from the menu Matzo Ball soup, Kreplach, Mish Mash, Knishes, French Friend Chicken Livers. Decided to go with an appetizer of the Smoked Fish Dip, which was $14 and delicious, although the Pita chips were heavily salty (I love salt, but super salty). Matzo Ball Soup $10. To be honest did not notice any chicken in the soup just broth, which was a bit bland, the Matzo ball itself was nice and dense with a good creamy consistency. I was up in the air on what sandwich I wanted, leaning towards the #34 Jack's special (Hot corned beef, Chopped Liver, Lettuce, Russian dressing)...until I saw #40 Music Man (Tender Deli Tongue, Crisp Lettuce, Tomato, Spicy Pickle, Hot mustard) $18 for the smaller size $22 for the larger (nice to split). I cannot pass tongue up! This tongue was beautifully tender and well portioned. I would 100% return if/when back in the area!

Yummy! One of the best salads I've had in a while. Get the Stone Canyon when you visit. It was so good and the dressing was a lemony pepper dressing, it was delicious! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is a hidden gem, the service is great, the vibe is vibrant and hip.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love it!

My family has been eating here for decades. It's a community institution and the food is consistently amazing. I wish there was a place like this in the city where I live now.

We stopped for lunch at the Stage Deli on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated quickly. It is a large deli menu with soups, sandwiches, and burgers. I am sure most people could find something to their taste. We started with the Mushroom Barley soup, which was very good. We split the Fantasia sandwich (Turkey). The sandwich tasted fresh, but was dry for my taste. It could have used some sauce to give it flavor and texture. I liked the atmosphere with the painted portraits (Marilyn Monroe, etc...). The deli has a sortof New York feel. The prices were on the higher side for a deli, in my opinion, but the atmosphere and quality food justified it. I appreciate many of the items had two sizes. My wife and I both agreed we would be back to try a few other picks. Easy to like.

The corn beef sandwich was good. It can be a bit pricey, but worth it. The quality of the meat is important to me and they always deliver.

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a man that I presume was the manager or owner, who was wiping down the tops of the counters. We immediately started chatting while I looked over the menu. I originally came to pick up a bag for the Too Good To Go app, but decided to snag a salad and drink also. The same manager or owner was very chatty, I saw him cracking jokes either employees, and helping the cooks along with making my meal. I ordered the buffalo chicken salad and holy.moly. FRESH romaine lettuce, sliced tomato, cukes, and some great chicken, was enough for me to make two smaller salad (see pic)s. Everything was tasty, including the ranch, and the buffalo was the perfect blend of heat but not so hot it's unpleasant/numbs your face (If anyone knows what buffalo sauce they use - let a lady know!! ) Then, as I walked out, a man who I chatted with a moment, was cleaning and stopped just to wish me a great day. I was literally just laid off yesterday, so he'll probably never know how much it meant to hear today. 10/10 recommend Jersey's and I will be back! Ps - When I first got home I took a couple of bites of the cheese and jalapeño and chef's kiss - the bagel was absolute perfection. Highly recommend.

I don't dine in, so my reviews are exclusively based on my take out experience. I have moved out of town so I haven't had the opportunity to enjoy them as much as I used to. Their chicken soup is phenomenal. Absolutely the standard for what chicken soup should be. Fresh carrots, shredded white meat chicken and flavorful broth. Their kreplach are tender and filled with nicely ground and seasoned meat as well. Corned beef and pastrami are excellent and fresh. Chicken and tuna salads are both moist without being soggy and well flavored. The carrot cake is moist and delicious as well. The only thing is that you will pay dearly for the experience. It's expensive but in my opinion, treat yourself once in a while. It's all delicious.

I had the usual for my first time at a new deli, ie, chopped liver on rye. This time I had chicken soup with kreplach, too. It was excellent. Thus far, I would have to rank Steve's among the 3 or 4 best around these parts in terms of quality and probably *the* best in terms of variety. Service was outstanding, too. A plus: unlike most delis, Steve's actually has more than just salads to offer my vegan wife. My server was very knowledgable about that, too. So, I brought home a vegetarian "liver" sandwich and a knish for the missus' dinner (and an order of kishke with gravy for me).
