I went to purchase some cold medicine which had to be obtained from behind the counter at the pharmacy due to the ingredients. At least there was a pharmacist or a tech there who could help me. Most every day basic items that you want are not available. They carry thrifty brand ice cream so I went to the freezer case to look and they have one flavor which I decided to get. The freezers are so full of frost that each time I opened the door a bunch of snowflakes blew out. When I went to the register to check out, there was nobody there. I looked around and looked around and looked around and did not see any employees. Finally, I heard some rustling from an aisle way at the back of the store and walked over there and saw an employee doing something stocking perhaps? Anyway this place should just close because it really isn't serving any purpose. Maybe the pharmacy is doing something, but it feels like going into an abandoned building.

I managed to link my Extracare account with my main CVS account! CVS without the extra care program is nearly useless. You get some coupons every time you fill your prescription, but that is a very limited reward program. However, once you link it to extra care, CVS becomes much more interesting. All the extra care sales come to play and you get a coupon which stacks on top of the sale. As far as I can tell all the prices in the store have been adjusted for the dollar coupon you receive every time at the pharmacy. Which makes every item in the store more expensive than their rivals. But once you add the coupon to whatever extra care specials are available, the prices become much more attractive. However, their inventory is still pretty limited compared to a big box store. It seems to me that your best bet is the coupon play. Generally, this means you're picking off a few items where the coupons, the loyalty program, and the specials all stack. I noticed the specials sell out quickly. so the specials are even more limited than you can imagine. Well, with the reward program, they've enticed me into buying one item per trip. If it sounds like I'm not enthused, you're right. At the present time I feel no need to go to CVS unless I have a prescription I wanna pick up. Pharmacy hours are not the same as the store hours. The pharmacy is still a five star experience. The store has risen from a zero star experience all the way to a two star experience.

After a routine doctors appointment my medication's were sent to this pharmacy. Keep in mind, these are medications I must take daily. One day prior to refill. I called to confirm the medication is in stock and was assured that I could be picked up the following day. The following day, I called again because I did not get a text message like I typically do when meds are ready for pick up. I was informed they had no record of refill from my doctor. I called the doctor and let them know and the prescription was resent. It's now Friday morning and I'm wondering when I will be able to pick up my meds. I call again and leave a voice message. A clerk calls me back to tell me my meds cannot be filled because the doctor is not registered or licensed. I promptly call and wait to speak with a pharmacist and explain ~ "this can't be the case". They resend a request for a new prescription. I called the doctor's office and it looks like everything's going to be cleared up. We are three hours from CVS closing and I'm trying to follow up... "When I can pick up the meds?" I call again and speak to a clerk. I am told they are out of stock. I can't even believe this is happening. We're going into a weekend and I have to wait till Monday??? This is not possible. They tell me they will transfer the prescription to another pharmacy in another city. I call the pharmacist of that CVS location and they tell me the system will not allow the transfer. Fast forward to Monday. It's 6:40 PM... I'm finally picking up my prescription ~ now 4 days late & they close at 7PM.. Ironically, the lady in front of me was picking up depression, meds, and the same thing happened to her AT THE PICK-UP COUNTER! They told her they did not have time to run payment through insurance so she would have to come back the following day. Lastly, there were 9 people still in line that were told to come back the following day because, " WE ARE NOW CLOSING" Something is seriously wrong with this pharmacy. Aside from pharmacist Kaley, the front staff was uncommonly RUDE. I will TRANSFER my meds to another pharmacy ~ NOT CVS BRAND! WHAT CAN CVS DO BETTER? Corporate should look into AI for medication fulfillment. I'm not one for technology to override employment of humans, but obviously CVS is struggling and doesn't have the ability to hire sufficient and trained staff. Bring in good pharmacist for QC and let AI do the rest. When possible, run deliveries through the mail.

He's accessible for discussions regarding changes in her medications and dosages. I've run into him in the neighborhood several times and tell him I feel like we're a part of Mayberry RFD (or Cheers!) as we smile and wave and "everyone knows your name" ! :D I wish there were more businesses like Capital City! The store looks much brighter and more inviting than it was before and it looks cleaner as well. I find the selection of groceries here larger than other WMNMs which is a plus, and it seems they are well stocked at most times. However, the area is a magnet for crime, I've seen cars being bipped, and there are seedy people hanging around at all times.

On 12/4, I went to the pharmacy but HELEN "CHANGED HER MIND" and "DECIDED MY SON SHOULD NOT HAVE HIS MEDICATION". What is HELEN'S AUTHORIZATION? (1) The Ativan is prescribed by my son's doctor on 12/3 (2) My son has been taking Ativan 15 mg per month since Feb. 2021 (3) it is on Safeway Pharmacy's records (4) Helen the phmacist at Safeway text-confirmed on 12/3 for Ativan to be pickup (5) Helen refused to dispense Ativan on 12/4 (6) Helen refused to release two 0.5 mg Ativan for my son to tight-over this weekend until 12/6, Monday, when the doctor will be available in the office.

I was patient enough to go through it) plus I found some clearance hidden gems. There is so much clearance, I love it. It was a great shopping day!
