    Italian wedding soup
    Ken T.

Stopped by for lunch while in town visiting the Castle Air Museum. I had the seafood combo which was pretty good. The calamari were good and the Cod was okay. The shrimp were the highlight but there were only two included. I opted for the mashed potatoes and gravy but they were lacking flavor. I'm hindsight I should've gotten the rice pilaf. Still I nearly cleared my plate. The highlight of my meal was the soup. The wedding soup had great flavor and texture. Luckily my son didn't finish his so I got a double serving. My son chose the lasagna and loved it! He declared the Almond Tree was his third favorite restaurant as a result. The service was excellent. We'll be back next time we're in town.

Had chicken fried steak, a few Micheladas and my buddy had corn beef hash, other one had the chicken parm sandwich. All was good but the plates are definitely better than sandwiches . Service was fast and attentive, setting was fun and my kids loved it. Even played a game of pool after eating . Price is cheaper than most big chain restaurants.

Almond tree is one of the best small town get downs there is. Good music, cold big beers and above average food. When all else fails Almond tree won't.

First time eating here. I ordered a salad and it was huge. I took half home. Unfortunately I didn't get my garlic toast. Service was friendly and good. Food around the table everyone was happy. Clean.

Old-school California coffeeshop-style restaurant located on the downtown side of the overpass, kind of tucked in a side street, with ample parking. It's a good-sized restaurant, so don't be intimidated if you see a lot of cars. We ordered off the breakfast menu, which has pretty much the standards (including linguica omelets), along with a new "garbage plate" for transplanted western New Yorkers (though it's pretty restrained and more Southern). Food was nice: properly cooked hash browns, generously meat-filled omelet without excessive scorching, and a really excellent fluffy biscuit. I like their thin pancake style immensely and wish the ones used for my pigs in blanket had not been scorched. Don't order the ice tea. Just don't. Staff was extraordinarily cheerful. Service was reasonably paced in relation to the fullness of the restaurant. It's a fairly loud space. If you don't mind the noise, it seems like a good place to catch an affordable, filling meal that isn't a big chain.

First visit to this restaurant as recommended by my sister. The menu was extensive as they offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have pretty much everything you want in an American restaurant. They even have a lounge with full bar. This is a great place for a good meal and a drink. I had breakfast. The pancakes were delicious. My omelette was perfect. My husband had the bacon cheeseburger with curly fries option. My son had a delicious, strawberry shake made with real ice cream. Didn't get 5 stars because my waffle was a little burnt and the 2nd strawberry shake had a little too much milk in it which affected both the flavor and consistency. Overall, the service was great and the food was good. Every once in a while, you'll come across an item that isn't just right but sometimes it might just be that one thing. Give this place a second chance if it wasn't great. You might be surprised.

So...was hanging out, having some drinks and got the dunchies (for those of you who do not know…read morewhat that is...the drunk munchies). Wanted to order garlic tots. No, it is not on the menu but loaded tots and garlic fries are on the menu. How hard could it be to just add the garlic butter to tots rather than fries? Apparently, this is a task that had surmountable conflicts and absolutely could NOT be done. Per Dustin, garlic tots is not a menu item and there can be no substitutions. Hmmmmm, Dustin your rude mannerism and complete lack of customer service skills leave much to be desired. One would think that with the amount of time and money that we spend at this establishment I could at least get garlic tots......or maybe extra crispy tots like asked for.

They also have QR codes attached to the tables so that you can order drinks on your phone, if you're able to get a seat. Once the bartenders are done serving the people in line, they'll deliver your order directly to your table. Unfortunately, the owner (Bobby, I think his name is) doesn't necessarily have the best sense of hospitality and can be rude sometimes. My friend ordered three waters for our table after she ordered some shots, and the owner gave her attitude as if it were such a chore to get us those waters. I didn't see a self-serve water station so I didn't appreciate the attitude. He can be quite dismissive, unless you're a fresh new female who he can flirt with. A different time, my female friend was visiting from out of town and all of a sudden, he was extremely attentive to us and friendly. A change from his usual sour demeanor. I don't go here too often due to the lack of a welcoming vibe from the owner (his staff are usually fine and generally more easy to get along with). Every time I go back, I'm reminded why I don't go too often anymore.

We stopped in just before 6:00 and we're greeted by a friendly woman getting the restaurant ready for opening. We later came to find out she was an owner. She was so sweet and offered to seat us before the servers actually showed up, as they had worked a local event that day. The waitress soon came and our wonderful experience began. They have a great wine list and wine cocktails. We ordered three dishes and were pleased with the presentation and flavors. Pica-Pau - a traditional Portuguese dish with beef and spices in a delicious broth. It's served with bread for soaking up the broth. I really enjoyed this dish, especially the broth. Crostini di Mare - shrimp on crostini's with a tangy garlicky sauce on top. This was my favorite and I wouldn't hesitate to order this again. Sea Legs - octopus over a sweet potato mash. This was tasty as well and the octopus was cooked perfectly. The sweet potato mash is divine!! We also had a Caprese salad, pretty average, but nice presentation. The outdoor seating area is comfortable and so nice to people watch on the main drag. We really enjoyed ourselves and plan to go back next time we visit. I do think the dishes are slightly on the pricier side, but the quality and finesse of the dishes makes them definitely worth it. Our meatballs were so soft and tasty. And we couldn't help but finish all the leftover sauce it came with by dipping our bread in it! I enjoy the vibe of the inside. I love all the blue dim lighting and there's even a small stage for folks to perform on busier nights.
