This place is open and spacious, I don't feel claustrophobic when it starts getting busy, like at the plaza bars.

You order inside at the bar. Scan the QR code. Then find a table, We found a nice table on the covered patio. They bring the food out to you, so make sure you take that into account when you tip. They offer the standard bar fare, nicely done. The burgers were quite proper, with all the fixings and varieties. Think bbq sauce, shoe strings, bacon, peppers, and all combinations thereof. Reuben's and French dips too. Nachos, loaded with sliced steak, super toppings, and all the good stuff. Well seasoned fries and you're in good shape. Seems like they have live music every night. Tonight, it was two dudes playing guitar. It was really cool to have them playing some covers plus their own music. But at the same time I kind of felt burdened. With only a couple tables on the whole place we had to pay attention to the performers. Can t really just eat and talk when your tables right in front of them. But all in all, id be back. You can't beat free music so take it when you get it!

You order at the bar, select inside or outside dining and they give you a number. I scanned the barcode and was ready to order when the folks ahead of me went to a table. Order was taken quick, I found a small table in the beer garden overlooking the distant sea. Burger was done medium and well garnished. Salad was fresh and made as I requested. I have returned and am trying the tuna melt down and coleslaw. Quick service, delicious food and the macadamia nut porter is sublime. So much for keto. But I'm very happy.

I cannot rate this place. We couldn't dine here. First, the…read moreone handicapped parking stall was blocked by the restaurants dumpster. We managed to nose our truck into the stall with a bit less room and walked around to the front entrance. Our disabled son has a service dog. She happens to be a standard Poodle that is clearly tagged, working-dog vested in hi-viz optic yellow with 'Service Dog' patches clearly worn and tethered to our son with a matching hi-viz short traffic lead. Imagine our surprise when walking into the restaurant we were told by the woman at the register that the dog was not allowed inside. We would have to put the dog outside on a hook. We politely countered, gesturing to the dog and explaining that as a service dog, she was legally allowed inside, to which the woman again stated that the dog would have to remain outside. On a hook... We chose rather than continue to waste time trying to get a seat or even place an order, to simply leave. We would spend our money elsewhere. FYI: California Vehicle Code - VEH § 22507.8 states that it is unlawful to block the access or use of the handicapped parking like that: https://codes.findlaw.com/ca/vehicle-code/veh-sect-22507-8/ And the ADA has clear direction about service animals and their permitted access in a restaurant setting: https://www.ada.gov/resources/service-animals-2010-requirements/ These are very real legal issues. And we feel that the staff member made a choice to discriminate against us. Rather than raise a complaint with Humboldt County, we just won't return to this place, nor will we recommend eating here.

Not much flavor, texture was fine. Cheese was also okay, 5/10. Didn't stand out by any means but didn't taste inherently bad. Pepperoni and sausage was fine, 5/10. Definitely not great but not terrible. Overall very underwhelming, I'd prefer dominos for 1/3 the price, and definitely most other chains at the same price. Next day reheating via microwave after refrigeration; bread/dough was soggy, everything tasted similarly underwhelming but a bit more so.

The vibe is exactly what you want from a coastal brewery--casual, beachy, relaxed, and just the right amount of bar energy. I ordered the French dip, which was delicious and piping hot, although it was a little saltier than I prefer. My husband ordered the shrimp tacos, and apparently they were so good that I am now concerned about the stability of my marriage. He literally declared that he was leaving me for the chef. I guess the tacos were that good. The shrimp tacos came with fresh, flavorful salsa that really stood out, and everything arrived hot and quickly. Our server absolutely was friendly, attentive, and FAST--which we very much appreciated. Getting the check however took FOREVER! I think our server went out to lunch. :/ And the beer selection on tap? Lots of choices, and everything was served perfectly. Overall: great food, great beer, quick service, fun atmosphere, and apparently life-changing shrimp tacos. If you're in the area, put Lost Coast Brewery on your list. Just keep an eye on your spouse if they order the shrimp tacos. Apparently that's where things get dangerous.

As a north east girlie who loves trying cheesesteaks from all over, I am pleased to say this cheesesteak was quite tasty - especially the "beer cheese". The menu had TONS of great Irish options but I was in the mood for this steak sandwich. We also had the fish and chips which were popular amongst the table. We noticed many guests had the traditional Shepards pie that looked delicious. Cocktails were on point. Ambiance was wonderful. Seemed like the place to be in the area. Yes there are a lot of unhoused in the area but don't let that stop you from visiting. Parking behind the hotel/restaurant is free after 4pm but plenty of street parking available around town. The reason for 4 stars is due to service. Our waitress seemed like she wanted to start closing up around 7 when they are open until 9. Upon walking in, I asked if we could sit at the table by the door to ensure we'd be in the "bar area" as there is a ducked off dining area, and she said that area was closing. It shocked me since we were a few hours til close so I double checked the hours as it was a Tuesday, thinking they may close early but no, still 9pm. While seating us, she asked if we were ready to order lol. We said it was our first time and needed a minute and she walked away. Felt as though we bothered her. Gallaghers is great but the lack of enthusiasm and communication towards guests from this one server will likely keep folks from returning. We had to wave her down to get more cocktails. Almost as if we weren't ready to order food she wasn't going to return. We ordered a soup around 7:20 and by 8pm she approached said "the kitchen was closing" very blunt like so we hurried up and ordered. Guests were still rolling in until 8:45 ordering dinner so we felt rushed and unappreciated that she told us the kitchen was closing when it wouldn't. On each trip out of town we try to find a steak restaurant, an Irish pub and a brewery to enjoy. This Irish pub night could have been better but the food and kind chef (who mingled with many guests) made it worth it.
