..but I went here for the home-brewing supplies, really! This place is pretty cool. The first things that I noticed were how well organized the items were. There were bins and bins of grains to my left. There were lots of wine kits to the right. Actually I do admit to looking at these for awhile, despite knowing that I would not purchase any while on vacation. The staff was very friendly and helpful and I spent some time just chatting. Actually, while I chatted, I found myself picking up some items for purchase-- some wine corks (I forgot that I was all out) and some fruit extracts. I mentioned that I was interested in trying to make some seltzer during those off-periods when I don't have beer in my kegs. No problem, we've got many (we decided to pass on the peanut butter one though). There were also cheese making kits and supplies and I heard a customer being coached on ways to make yogurt-- pretty cool... My eyes did wander toward the 20 gallon stainless steel kettle with the weld-less thermometer installed but the most interesting thing was a piece of furniture that consisted of small drawers, all the same size. Each one of these contained some kind of utility equipment, like keg O-rings, small fixtures, powered spices, odd screws, bolts, or clamps. This was a pretty good use of it and it was a bit of a statement piece and found myself opening every drawer to check the contents out, despite knowing what was in each because of the labels. The staff are not only super nice, but are very knowledgeable about brewing and eager to share information and provide helpful tips, as well as answer questions. I only really looked through the baby boutique. Cute stuff. I couldn't really enjoy myself, though, because the owner kept following me around everywhere. At first she tried talking and describing EVERY LITTLE PRODUCT. Then she just followed me around, like I was some trouble-maker or something. Really cool place! Don't go in expect to passively browse. This is a store with purpose, and I mean that in a good - no, great way. The owners are practically experts on everything they sell, which is great for novice brewers, etc., and an opportunity for fun , valuable conversations for more seasoned users of the supplies sold.
