Think of it as a large farm with a rustic barn with roaming chickens everywhere. Even a few chickens inside greeting all the guests during our visit! The feel and look of the barn reminded me and my wife of our barn wedding! Definitely a spot during nice weather with so much space available and so much nature to soak up! Then their drink offerings are so huge and vast especially for this area of Maine. Give their house made ciders a try that are not too sweet but have tons of flavor. If cider isn't your thing then don't worry they still got you! Their drink menu is huge with beers from all over the world, wines, cocktails, and on and on. Then often they also have food trucks so grab a bite to eat or bring some of your own snacks if the food truck of the day isn't your ideal meal! The staff were phenomenal as well with their kindness and knowledge. Also often hosting live music as well so bring your friends and family for a night of drinks, live music and enjoying the outdoors. This place is a must try if you are in the area but I think it's also worth the trip even if it's a little further out! I look forward to our return trip.

It must have been an off night. the workers were still there in the back and there was one two top sitting on the patio outside. now that the scene is painted, let's move onto the food. the guy at the register was super helpful as it was my first time visiting any of the brickyard hollow locations. I got the small blueberry pizza (6 slices), which has certainly made the rounds on social media as one of the best pizzas in maine. the food came out pretty quick, hot and fresh. as someone who could easily eat a small pizza to himself, it did make me want an in between size (medium) as they only have small or large pizzas. the toppings on the pizza were maine blueberries, lemon ricotta, and shallots on an olive oil base. I loved the flavor and it was substantial enough for a meal even though it seemed like more of a dessert pizza when I first heard of it. it's a savory and slightly sweet pizza that works really well. I saw they also have a maine blueberry pancake pizza for breakfast which also sounds like something I need to try. definitely on my list of quick and easy dinners. tl;dr get the maine blueberry pizza for lunch or dinner, it's worth it! they only have two sizes: small or large. they also have blueberry pancake pizza for breakfast, too.

It was interesting, unique (maple balsamic dressing, blueberry bbq sauce) and every bite delicious. Pesto Flatbread, pulled pork, Mac and cheese (with pulled pork), sweet potato fries (surprisingly amazing), French onion soup reportedly delicious. Service superb (thanks Jess!) and everyone so friendly. If I am ever around here again I would come straight here. Yummmmmmmmmmmm. The staff could not make some of the drinks because there was no bartender. When they did get a bartender, we were ignored for people that he knew for 45-55 minutes. My father, uncle and husband left after an hour of being ignored. One of the owners had come in at this point and apologized for the delay in service. We were comped a round of drinks at this point. This is a beautiful place and the food that we did get was good. It is a shame that they will probably fail due to poor management/training. I will say that I had a large party but there were only 2 other tables with people at them when we got there. It was Riverfest this past weekend so they should have expected a larger lunch crowd and been adequately staffed. I was up their 4th of July weekend and had a much better experience. If employees are blatantly ignoring customers for their friends, you have a big problem.
