Have been coming here for about fifteen years on and off. Mostly for breakfast and lunch. Staff is friendly and happy. Food is decent for the most part. EXCEPT today the breakfast was cold eggs, fries, home fries and steak were cold. My buddy told the server and she brought him a new plate of hot food. Our go-to spot for lunch and dinner several times a month. Food is cheap, delicious, fresh, and the portions are huge. I haven't tried every item on the menu, but the ones I have tried have been flawless. Place is spotless, and the lighting is nice too. Cozy. My personal favorite dishes are the Chicken parm (not a traditional Cuban dish, but here it's delicious), the "media noche" sandwich, and any of the traditional Cuban entrees, especially the palomilla steak. This is the type of place where you stick to the daily specials because its almost guaranteed it is certainly fresh. I have never had an issue ordering the most common dishes; ropa vieja (shredded beef), boliche (pot roast), pechuga de pollo a la plancha (grilled chicken breast), their rice and beans, congri, plantains, papa rellena (stuffed potato) are tasty and delicious. I was there on Sunday and my friend and I ordered ropa vieja and boliche with rice and black beans. Everything was delicious, service was adequate and the prices are moderate. I went to today and ordered pork with yuca. My masitas de cerdo (pork pieces) were not cooked fully. The meat was red inside & burned on the outside. Never again will I eat there. Pork has to be fully cooked, it's not a steak! After I complained, the waitress said she will return the plate to the chef to have it cooked, I said no because it will be burned more. This place is amazing! Any item I've tried on the menu has been fantastic! Also, the owner is very friendly and he's almost there all the times we've been there to ask how's everything. The staff- we've been going here for years, so sometimes it's great and some others not so much. They always ask how's everything but sometimes they seem like they are in a bad mood.
