Centro absolutely delivered. We started with the trio of ceviches and the trio of guacamoles, and both were outstanding. The ceviche was the star of the meal. All three were fresh, bright, and perfectly acidic. Two of them were absolute standouts. The flounder ceviche was just a little fishier than the others, but still very good. The guacamoles were creamy, fresh, and had just the right amount of spice. One included blue cheese, which sounded like an odd combination, but it completely worked and ended up being one of our favorites. We also ordered the empanadas, and they were fantastic. Perfectly fried with a crisp exterior, yet somehow still light and not greasy at all. The spicy dipping sauce took them to another level. The roasted pork tostones were also very good. The pork was flavorful, although a little fattier than I prefer. Next time I'd probably try the chicken version instead. The atmosphere is inviting with an open layout and plenty of seating, making it a great spot whether you're out for dinner or meeting friends. The service was excellent. Our server was attentive, offered recommendations without being pushy, and genuinely seemed to know the menu, which I always appreciate. Everything we tried was beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and made with fresh ingredients. We'll definitely be back to work our way through more of the menu. read more

I've been here twice now. I couldn't have been happier with the drinks and food. First time I went I had a burrito but when I returned it wasn't on the menu; however the kitchen still made it for me! Quac is so fresh and the salsa is top notch. So happy to have another delicious option in Westchester! The restaurant is decorated in a clean, modern vibe. With simple elegance but still uniquely linked to the culture behind the food. Next time I go I'll be sure to take photos and shoutout servers. read more

I'm a big fan of Oceano, so I was excited to try this location. It feels like they may still be working out some kinks, though--especially since the entire menu posted online isn't actually available in the restaurant right now, and prices differ slightly from what's listed online. The space itself is nice, with noticeable updates from Shaved Duck. It's more open, and they moved the bar closer to the front, which works well. My husband and I ordered the margaritas with Tajín--solid choice. You can definitely taste the tequila . They don't have a kids' menu, but most tacos are $10 for two, which makes it doable. We ended up getting the chicken quesadilla for the kids to split. Honestly, I expected it to be much larger for the price. For $16, it was just the quesadilla and sauce (the sauce was tasty), but no rice or beans like you'd usually get at other Mexican restaurants. It would make sense for them to offer a kids' quesadilla option that's bigger and more affordable. We also ordered the queso fundido. This is a very chunky queso, so don't expect traditional smooth queso--still tasty, but it came with minimal chips and some tortilla. It was hearty enough that it could've been a meal on its own. We ordered the leche de tigre, but I think we actually received the aguachile--there were no sweet potatoes. It was good, but it didn't quite have the depth of flavor I've had at Oceano's its sister restaurant. For entrées, I got the carnitas. The pineapple salsa was the highlight, but if you're looking for the best carnitas around, Two Compadres still wins for me--huge portions and always leftovers. This one had a lot going on, and I'm not sure I'd order it again. We also shared the roasted pork over tostones, which were delicious and my favorite dish of the night. The texture from the tostones was fantastic. It does come with a lot of raw onions, so if you're not into that, definitely ask for them removed. This dish made me think they could easily sell plain tostones--this could've been a full meal similar to a taco. My husband got the chipotle bourbon tacos, which also came with raw onions that weren't noted on the menu, so we had to send it back to be remade without them. These come with rice and beans, though the rice was a bit smushy. Overall, the menu feels limited right now--possibly because they're still testing things out--but it's worth noting. We did notice happy hour deals Monday-Friday until 6:30pm, which is a nice perk. I'd come back to try it again, but I'd need to be in the mood for it. This is one of those times I really wish Yelp allowed a 3.5--it's not quite a 4 yet, but there's definitely potential once they work out a few details. I also feel like they probably should up their game in what is offered with tacos to consider a more upscale Mexican spot. read more

This restaurant is very new. The decor is simple, but inviting and tasteful. It's a Colombian restaurant. We were relative newcomers to Colombian cuisine and absolute novices to Centro. Wanting to try a variety of dishes we ordered a variety of small dishes and shared everything. The empanadas were my favorite. Instead of the tough, fried pastry dough many fried pies and empanadas are in, these empanadas were light and crispy. The tostones were also delicious. Unlike Mexican food Colombian seems less heavily seasoned. It's lighter on the palate and fresher. We tried all the desserts and though all were fresh and tasty, the tres leche cake seemed to be the favorite. Our companions had been before and said the quality is consistently fresh and delicious. The staff was attentive. Everything was sparkling clean. We hope to return soon. read more

10/10 Will be coming back all the time!!! The fresh lemonade is made in house and is an amazing refresher; not too sour, not too sweet, it's unbelievable. The Ceviche is top notch with 3types of seafood and thinly sliced veggies, extremely fresh and a great portion size for the price. The bourbon-ribeye tacos are glazed in a sweet smokey flavor, will be getting those every visit. The real winner for me was the Mahi Tacos. They were a special and not listed on the menu currently, but they are by far, the best mahi tacos I have ever had. They had a great smoky flavor with their grill marks, and a crunchy cabbage slaw on top, and what seemed to be a cilantro lime crema on top. It was every flavor in one bite and the mahi was cooked perfectly, very flaky but still had a bite to it. I will be sharing this experience with everyone and coming back as much as i can!! read more

Absolutely FANTASTIC food! We have been 3 times (2 for dinner and 1 for lunch). Each time the food was excellent and service was on point. Tonight the restaurant was packed and the kitchen was slammed and we did have to wait...but without even so much as a comment to the staff the owner comped our appetizers and came to apologize. We weren't bothered at all as we could see it was slammed. But that was a STELLAR business move. We will be back. The tomatillo enchiladas are fantastic. The queso fundido appetizer was the table favorite. The burritos were HUGE and the light side salad with those was so fresh and pretty. Well done- highly recommend! read more

Saturday evening, the place was about half full and sounded like a high school cafeteria. There's no carpet, upholstery, or even wall hangings to muffle sound. As it filled up, yelling became mandatory. I'm surprised this is barely mentioned. It's OK for a quick lunch, but going hoarse over dinner is not a pleasant evening. That cost it a star. The service was attentive and our food came faster after our drinks than we would have liked, but they were busy. Cocktails (Margarita and Cosmo) were fine, and our meals were tasty and plentiful. My friend had a rice dish with shrimp and calimari (Chauffa?), and I had the El Cubanito sandwich. My French fries were the standouts, double, maybe even triple fried, crunchy and delicious. Chips that came as an appetizer were thick and unseasoned, and the salsa so runny, it barely stuck to the chips. Disappointing. We went for brunch (which is advertised on the website). There was no brunch. The lunch menu is the same as the dinner menu. The restaurant was nearly empty with only 4 tables occupied. The service was attentive. It is a very industrial looking space. The food was the big downfall. The sirloin steak in the Carne Asada Tacos must have been sitting around for a long time. The steak was small tough bits of sirloin that was room temperature. There was guacamole on the bottom, bits of steak and tons of onions on top. There was no salsa or anything else served with the tacos. The house salad was what you would expect anywhere. The dressing was good. The enchilada was served without sauce (indicated on the menu), a small amount of rice and some plain shredded lettuce (?). The food was not as indicated on the menu. The food is pricey for what you receive and unappealing. We will not be back. read more

Went for dinner on a Wednesday, we were sat around 5:30 at a table. We were provided with a menu that included a happy hour menu in the middle. My husband and I ordered drinks off the happy hour menu. When I asked for the spicy marg (which was listed as $7 +$2 on the happy hour menu) the server told me that I had to order the $13 speciality cocktail because the menu had a misprint. This sort of rubbed me the wrong way, figured that the restaurant was new and was going to give them a bit of grace. However, this was indicative of a larger trend of prices not being transparent. My husband and I ordered two food items off of the happy hour menu (which was advertised to last until 6pm) and one item off of the regular menu to share. After ordering, the server told us that they would honor happy hour prices for our drinks (note I would not call a $13 marg a happy hour price) but that the food would be the full menu price. We went with it because we are not ones to complain, having both worked in the service industry in college, but in hindsight the whole experience did not sit well with us. There was nothing on the happy hour menu to denote "bar only," further why give tables a happy hour menu if they can't order from it. Just does not make sense. The server informed us of the price difference as if it was an afterthought. The happy hour menu was a printed out menu - it seems like you could have easily updated and printed out updated copies or even mentioned that happy hour is only available at the bar. Over-all the food was okay, the only standout was the carnitas tacos. It's not about the extra $10 for food, we have no problem paying for the food that we want, but its the lack of transparency for pricing and frankly a whole bait and switch feel that did not sit well with us. This was a pleasant surprise!! We came to West Chester looking for a place to eat. This place was new and slightly intimidating. We decided to take a chance and wow we were very happy with our decision!! We tried the ceviche (never even heard of it) and it was delicious !!!
