I ordered the Shrimp Vongole and the Caprese Salad, the Shrimp Vongole was good, but it tasted like alfredo to me. I was expecting a different taste, but it was still tasty nonetheless and it came with plenty of shrimp. Their Caprese salad is served warmed, which is out of the ordinary. It wasn't bad, but it could use more flavor ...like balsamic glaze or something. I probably wouldn't order that again. Overall, the food had some great highlights, but there were also a few issues during our dining experience. My cousin ordered the French toast, which was flavorful, though one piece was unfortunately burnt. She also ordered a side of potatoes and bacon. The potatoes were perfectly seasoned -- crispy on the outside and soft on the inside -- but the bacon never arrived with her meal. We arrived, Proo placed our order, our appetizer shows up, and then an hour and 15 minutes later, every table around us starts getting service for dinner, However we continue to be ignored. When we brought up delayed our food, all we get is an apology and that there was a mixup with our order. We ended up walking out. This is absolutely unacceptable. It is unclear to me how this establishment expects to survive if they cannot treat their customers with basic human dignity. The Blacksmery Negroni was truly a work of art. 11/10. Best drink I've had in a long while. It almost tasted how Black Cherry Merlot or Red Opium smell. I ate the Seafood Risotto and my partner had the Beef Lasagna. I will truly say I did not enjoy the risotto. It oddly reminded me of dish water, I'm assuming from the cilantro. To be quite honest, I don't understand the reviews regarding the food because the carbonara was the first time I experienced one that wasn't dry or too egg-like. The prosciutto croquettes were dope and hit the spot. I can agree with the opinion that the dishes are a little more expensive than they should be but I feel that way about many places nowadays. Additionally, the bowls in which the pasta dishes come are a bit deep so it looks like there is less than there actually is. In any case, I think the food is tasty & worth it! The drinks are equally tasty. They didn't have exactly what I wanted so our waitress, the lovely Sarah, put something together for me that hit the spot. Since I'm sharing my opinion, I think they should refocus to be drinks-oriented. Their coffees that I've had there have been stellar (and gorgeous!). I also enjoyed my cocktail on a recent visit. My only side note was on the Pumpkin Risotto I ordered. The clams were rubbery. The mussels & the lobster were tender & tasteful. I came here for a family dinner a few weeks ago and had a lovely time. Their green vibe is fun and their Spanish and Italian offerings are plentiful. They have a variety of things to pick from on the menu, but do know this place isn't cheap. Our party was left feeling that things were priced really high for what we got. We each started out with some of their bruschetta. I was surprised to find it heated up in an almost sauce like way. Our waitress was really sweet and helpful with the menu. My MIL enjoyed the prosciutto croquettes. Some of our party got the sangria and like it. My fiancé and I shared the burrata salad and bistecca. The pepper was heavy on the salad and sorta drowned in olive oil. I enjoyed the cherry tomatoes and burrata in it! Unfortunately, our overall experience was really disappointing. We had a reservation and were seated without any silverware. We ordered wine, assuming the silverware would arrive with our appetizers, but that never happened. One person in our group received their wine relatively quickly, while the rest of us waited about 45 minutes for ours, and at this point we had already finished our appetizers. Speaking of the appetizers, we had no silverware to eat them with in the first place. We tried multiple times to track down our waitress, but she was essentially unreachable for the entire night. We also asked another staff member about the status of our wines and never received an answer. We asked two different people for silverware before someone finally brought some out. By that point, our appetizers were already cold. The food itself was great, which makes the poor service even more frustrating. We visited Bontanya today for my husband's birthday dinner as a party of two. Just an FYI--there is parking behind the restaurant, and according to our waitress, it costs $1.00, but that may change by your next visit. Service was a bit slow at first; it took some time for our waitress to return and take our drink orders, and then we waited a while to receive our drinks. Once they arrived, we placed our appetizer and entrée orders. The food came out fairly quickly--our appetizer arrived, and within seconds, our entrées followed. We initially ordered mussels and scallops, but they ran out of scallops, so we were told we'd receive extra mussels instead. However, it wasn't clear if we actually did. My husband ordered the fettuccine with fried shrimp, which came with three pieces of shrimp. I had the lobster ravioli, which included six pieces. He enjoyed his dish, but mine was disappointing--the ravioli wasn't warm, was bland, and definitely not worth $26. For drinks, he had wine, and I had a lemon drop, which was good. Seems like they torched the top to crispin and melt the cheese then threw it in the microwave. The meatball appetizer also wasn't terrible. It had steam coming from the outside but the inside was just under warm and also lacked any real flavor as far as seasonings are concerned. I had the gnocchi alla vodka ($18) and added chicken ($6). As you can see in the photo, the portion was extremely small and the chicken looked like it was torn apart. The gnocchi wasn't pillowy and the texture led me to believe it was frozen and reheated. The tableside preparation for the carbonara ($28 + $6 for chicken) is also more for the aesthetic. The pasta itself wasn't very warm by the time the preparation was done and in the photo you can see the small portion size for what is considered to be 2 orders of chicken.
