Excellent food and yummy margaritas! They come in a variety of flavors, too. Great service; overall, pleasant experience.

We eat here once a week and get our favorite, I always get the Cerro Super and substitute the Mole sauce for cheese sauce and have NEVER been charge $2.25 extra for the substitution... asked for a extra bag of chips since they give such a small bag of chips for 2 people.. and got charged $2.00 for a extra small bag of chips.. like why? You can go in and eat unlimited chips for free but you're gonna charge me $2.00 more for a small bag. Makes no sense, I've never been charged extra for chips and always get a small extra bag, and then ontop of that we get fee'd 4 times for "To go" $0.25 cents... what in the world. We loved this place but if they can't take care of their customers that do to go orders as much as the customers eating in, then no thanks. I'll take my business elsewhere where. What a shame. They opened this past Wednesday. For the short time being open so far, there were no hiccups. The service was great and I tried a new dish. The salsa has a little kick compared to some other places. But my teenager ate it and loved it. We will be back. read more

This is our new favorite Mexican restaurant. The salsa is very flavorful with just a kick of spice. I got the lunch ACP and added zucchini. This was the best ACP I have had anywhere in a long time. My husband got three street tacos with rice and refried beans. Delicious! We don't even like beans but we enjoyed these. This will be our new favorite Mexican restaurant. We walked in around 8:15 pm on a Friday night and the place was pretty dead - - only two other tables. This is understandable as the restaurant just opened this month. But the staff was a bit lax because of this. Tons of workers around, but nobody really doing anything. Many were by the bar socializing with one another. It took a few minutes for the hostess to seat us, as a result. And then . It took about 5 more minutes for a server to acknowledge us. they finally arrived with some chips and salsa. The salsa was OK but needed salt and it was not very flavorful. The chips were good. The salsa lacked garlic and salt mostly. We decided not to eat another local favorite Mexican restaurant because their margaritas have become absolute crap. Bad mix and little tequila in them. So we were hoping for a different type of margarita here. We were hoping for a margarita similar to Casa Azul down the street. Unfortunately, the margarita was probably worse than our favorite restaurant for Mexican in Conover. It was absolute crap and a waste of money we almost sent them back but the manager told us he put another shot of tequila in them - - which was a nice gesture. And we appreciate that, but we were still pretty weak, and nothing could salvage the flavor of the lime mix, which was really not good. Enough with the margaritas and onto the food. The food was satisfactory. . We had a taco salad in a fajita and they were standard. My friend had a special Cancun surprise dish, and it was better than the fajita and taco salad as it had more flavor and more spice. Overall the food was satisfactory but nothing special. The manager was nice and circulated a lot which was good. The service was fine once the staff came back into work mode. The drinks, as said, were rubbish. Overall, we preferred the food of our favorite Mexican restaurant in Conover and the drinks are much better at Casa Azul so no need to return here. I hope this place can listen to reviews and improve. read more
